WG, that sounds like a lovely day out and makes you feel good and pleased with yourself. I hope the house sale is progressing.

Gemini, Sorry to hear your aunt is feeling in too much pain for your visit, perhaps she will change her mind.

Oma, my legs still swell up in the day and my hand is a bit swollen today. I am hoping all will be well after I finish the antibiotic. I dressed my hand yesterday, it is an open wound, not sure what the surgery nurse will make of it on Tuesday. I don’t see the surgeon for another 6 weeks (no date yet).

My DD put up my ironing board for me yesterday, I just have a few things, like trousers, to iron. Had a visit from GS1, his wife and the children, yesterday whilst Sil was trying to watch the rugby, GGS was very noisy being Dinasaures (sp). I know Sil was looking forward to an afternoon of rugby, I am sure he still loves them all. It will be lovely when they can get in the garden.

Good morning, lovely and sunny, cold though, I have been for a walk and it was frosty, I soon warmed up from the walking.

Oma, it was from another supermarket, I have even seen that Ikea do them here!!! This one was very good, bread, cheese, ready meal, a piece of brisket and a parsnip mash box, includes parsnips, carrots, onion, leeks and swede, all very nice mashed up together. A few other things, the neighbour and I often share.

Gem, I hope that your aunt is feeling good enough to have you both visiting.

Plant, I hope that your hand soon heals. Have you support stockings for your legs or is it just from the medicine!

I want to bike to DS1 later, I got a side of salmon for them yesterday when I was at the Lidl.

I don’t usually suffer from swollen ankles Lizzie so I don’t use stockings. I think it was the infection but I am trying to keep them up when I sit down.

Oms - I hope your MIL was ok. It was thoughtful of B to ring and check.

Plant - when do the antibiotics finish? Hopefully the nurse will be pleased with progress on Tuesday.

Oma - I do hope your Aunt is reassured by your offer to take lunch and clear up. I'm sure the company would do her good.

Lizzie - you're very good at finding the bargains in the supermarkets. The boxes sound good value.

It's been really sunny here today, but a chilly easterly wind. OH has carried on painting his shed, I mean workshop!! It will need another coat but looks much better already. I've been sorting out pots of mainly weeds. Whatever was intended to be in most of them has disappeared!

Just off to feed Eva and cook our dinner.

Well all that fresh air did no good for my sleep........4 hours! I did mange to finish a book ! I really can't function on that little sleep though. This morning was ablur but I decided since it was a beautiful day I'd mow the lawn before the grass gets too long! Took ages to get the mower started, but once it got going so did I ! Looks a lot better now. Hopefully I won't have to do it too many times before the house move.

Plant, it's all quiet at the moment on the house, but solicitor isn't worried, so I'm not going to be either. Hope the swelling soon goes and that the nurse is happy with how the wound is.

Found OH's lottery numbers the other day, so used them last night. This morning I got a message to say I had winning numbers. When I checked they were his! Not the winning ticket, but a nice surprise none the less. He's obviously watching over me!

I did enjoy my away day yesterday. I have booked to go and see Aled Jones in Ely Cathedral next month. We had planned to see him two years ago, but got our money back when everything was cancelled. There were only single seats left and I've got one on the aisle and 7 rows from the front, which seems a good deal. I'll go up early and get parked and have something to eat before it gets too busy.

Gem, hope auntie is OK and you manage to see her tomorrow. I was speaking to my DB earlier and they're planning to go to the States in May, like you it was planned for a couple of years ago. He filled in his application for a visa wrongly and had to go to the US embassy in Belfast for an interview. Anyway they gave him a visa for 10 years because it was agenuine mistake he'd made.

Off to get something to eat before the Great Pottery Throwdown. Have a good evening ladies xx

Believe you can and you're halfway there.

I thought a visit from someone might cheer her up a bit.

WeeGranny - it's not fair - all that fresh air and exercise yesterday should have guaranteed you at least 8 hours good sleep. But well done on getting the mower started and cutting the lawn. Your dear OH is keeping an eye on his numbers - well done on this week's win. Treat yourself to something nice. I do hope your house move goes through soon.

Gem - I'm so glad you are able to see your aunt tomorrow. It will do her the world of good to have some company and a chat.

Plant - I hope you didn't overdo things with the ironing. Lovely to see the GGCs, and I bet SIL was grateful being able to watch the rugby in peace.

Gem, i'm sure Auntie will enjoy seeing you.

Guess who's got a cold. Done a covid test and it was negative.
I'm doing plenty of sneezing and fed up of a runny nose.

Good morning, very cold here, I was thinking of going on the bike to Zoetermeer but may wait for a warmer day.

I have been to the dietician, she was pleased with my progress, I am as well!

Nanto, I hope you soon get rid of the bad cold.xx

This is a photo of the blinds I made for the spare room at DS2 house, I had my doubts but they look good, DIL is very pleased with them.

                            Good morning my dears.

Nan2 colds are a pain, and we all feel the need to test just in case these days don't we? Feel better soon.

I bet the dietician is pleased with you Lizzie! You are an inspiration. The blinds look great.

Did you sleep any better last night WG?

                            More gardening today Daisy?

Gosh it doesn't seem 8 years since you lost your FIL Oma.

How many more days on antibiotics for you Plant?

We are going to my aunties house via M&S to get few nice things for lunch. I think it will do her good to see us. Being immobile again is getting her down. She recovered last time this happened ago a few years ago so I am sure she will again.
I'm not sure if our Whats App quiz is on tonight, if it is I will be there.
I have emailed both solicitor and estate agent this morning to boot them on!

Have a good day everyone, and I hope it is the start of a good/better week for us all.

                              Good Monday morning everyone.

A very quick 'hello' from me - I'm meeting friends in our cul de sac for coffee this morning, and didn't wake up till 9 o'clock. I must get my skates on and get my hair dried, although as it's raining perhaps it won't make any difference.

                              Bakc later. xx

Good Morning ladies,At last I feel so much better and free from back pain its been a horrible 2 weeks ended up in the walk in centre as the pain was so bad but then referred back to my Dr. I felt such a fraud.

It is so cold here today but the sun is shining very low we are very lucky to have not had any damage due to the terrible weather some places have had.

My youngest DGS (18) called in on Saturday to help his older brother clear up my garden and I asked him to tip out the soil from hanging baskets left on the front so I could refill them and replant,he only took down the basket I had replanted a couple of weeks ago and tipped that out as well as all by mistake of course but he has been banned from any gardening duties for the near future,I must say however my eldest DGS made a fabulous job I now have the smartest front garden in the cul-de-sac.

On 4th March my GGD will be a big 6 how fast the years go she came to visit with her brother yesterday with my DD she is so grown up and a pleasure to be around her brother is a typicical little boy he is 4 in May the same day as my J so there is no chance of forgetting his birthday is there, their mummy has just come home from hospital after having her gaul bladder removed she was rushed to hospital last week on blue lights as she was in so much pain poor girl she is only 29 she is home now and recovering well she is lucky to have a really good child care system in place.

I have been given an appointment for a check up on my left eye again to check all is well after the injections they have been very very good making sure all is well our NHS is second to none isn't it last time I went there was a lady whose sight was really bad and after she had the laser treatment she cried with the result as it improved her sight so much near enough immediately she was so grateful to the Dr. and his team.

Keep well everyone I will catch up soon xxx glamma xxx
