Glamm - after another day of digging, weeding and planting I definitely like your style of gardening better! Sit in the sun and watch. How exciting that you might be getting a dog again. Henry sounds lovely, and they are such a nice breed. It sounds as though he hasn't been very happy in his current home, and he's certainly young enough to fall in love with your Ollie. Good luck with your meet and greet with him on Saturday.
Gem - the celebrations just keep coming - cakes, bubbly and now Cart d'Or Ice Cream!
Nanto - have you finished your packing now?
Oma - I'm sorry to hear your BP was high. Do take it easy and relax for a bit and see if that helps to get it down over the next couple of weeks. xx
I did some more weeding and planting while OH was out this morning. Then after lunch we put in the last of the trees. Then we needed a break so took the dogs up to the paddock. They both had a good run round but we didn't let them run for too long because of Missy's poorly back legs. OH went and had a chat with our friend while I walked them slowly on their leads for a while to 'warm down'. Back home, a quick cuppa and then back into the garden. OH dug out the second of the old apple trees. It's amazing how far the roots went. I replanted some of the things we'd dug up. I hope everything survives! I swept the patio, although as fast as I swept new muddy paw marks seemed to appear as if by magic!

Nan2, I hope you have a lovely break, just what you need We will try to post good graphics until you get back!
Daisy you and OH will have some good muscles with all this digging. No need of aquaerobics for you!
Oma, hopefully once you are taking your own readings your BP wont be as high(did they tell you to take 2 or 3 and record the last one?) I had to do that. Also...... take it easy a bit!!! You have all day, so there really is no need to get washing, ironing shopping and housework all done before most of us are out of bed! Seriously. I know it's your way but we have to adapt and change as life goes on xx
Nothing planned today apart for school pick ups this afternoon.
Have good friday everyone, and Bon Voyage Nan2!

Good morning, I had to laugh at your post Gem, about Oma taking it easy!!!!!! I do hope your BP goes down though Oma.
Nanto, enjoy your break in the sun.xx
I want to get hoovered through etc, I was out on my bikes yesterday most of the day. I went to the market in Delft on my shopping bike, to the flower market, that was, I was so surprised to see hardly any stalls at all, the man I used to get plants from was quite old so maybe he has stopped, as for the rest, I have no idea, it used to be packed with flower/plant stalls.
In the afternoon I went to a garden centre and got what I wanted for a dish I brought from my friends house. It looks nice now.
Oma, I have just finished a chart of blood pressure readings for a week and took them into the surgery yesterday. I had to take it for a week 2 readings, a minute apart morning and afternoon or evening. I don’t know what a high blood pressure reading is for my age. I am going to try and make an appt. With the doctor as she now has the reading of the ECG and the blood pressure. I think she might also have a report of the op. On my hand. Do you take tablets for your high blood pressure?
I was awake in the night with a sore throat (will take a covid test today) so I didn’t wake up until 9.35. I want to go food shopping today so it has put me all behind. Went to see an old friend who lives in a Macarthy and Stone flat yesterday, we ran a Brownie Pack for 9 years. Although the outlook from her flat isn’t great she loves it there, they all look out for one another.
Daisy, have you more or less finished you garden re-arranging? It will not be long before you will be able to sit and enjoy it.
Nanto, you will soon be off and way, have a lovely time, I hope the sun shines for you, you deserve it.
Gemin, have a nice day with GC after school.

Good morning everyone. It's wet, windy and miserable here today. No gardening, I'm afraid. Even if it stops raining the ground is too wet. Still there's lots to do inside. Sainsburys came this morning and after I put the shopping away I cleaned the kitchen - much needed.
Nanto - safe journey, and I hope the sun shines for you.
Lizzie - what a pity about the flower market in Delft, but at least you got what you wanted from the garden centre.
Gem - enjoy your day. I'm sure you must feel there's a weight gone from your shoulders. x
Plant - I hope the sore throat is just that. I find my throat can feel a bit scratchy if I've just had a couple of days of talking too much! (No sniggering at the back, please. ) You must have lots of memories to share with your Brownie Pack friend.
Oma - we all despair of you! I totally agree with what Gem's said, and if I lived closer I'd be round there to boss you into relaxing more!

I know Lizzie, I may as well talk to myself I suppose as suggest Oma take it easy! EasiER at least I hope though.
Daisy putting all the shopping away and cleaning is enough. As you can't get into the garden relax today Paint, read, whatever takes your fancy.
Plant I hope your sore throat goes away.
OH is out this morning at her occasional gardening job. I have done some housework and put ironing away.
It's so nice not to have to constantly be emailing and phoning estate agents and solicitors! I lodged my complaints against solicitor 1 last week so we shall see what happens. I have said I feel my mother deserves a refund of the amount she paid up front.
It's been a sunny morning here but now looks as though it may rain. Very mild again, as it was when I was out yesterday.

Well ladies , I can’t see me not doing everything together but this morning I did let B clean the top of my kitchen cupboard rather than me climb on the worktops
Does that count 😁
Plant I do take tablets they upped them about 6 month ago so maybe they need adjusting .
Gem yes two readings then note the lowest , do that twice a day different times every other day ,
Daisy that garden is going to look like paradise by time your finished 😁
Lizzie what a shame the market wasn’t as good , maybe as the weather gets better more stalls will open .
Plant hope it’s just a scratchy throat and nothing else ,
My friends live in a Macarthy & Stone flat , we thought it was the wrong thing for them but they settled as such ,
She loves it he isn’t as happy , he misses his garden and shed plus it’s a fair way from our Grandson J he is their only grandchild .
Plus it’s very small compared to their big house but she has Lymphodema and uses a wheelchair so she could no longer use the stairs .
Cleaned my Kitchen and polished through not a lot to do for rest of day just sort lunch , when B is ready , he is in the shed making a noise but no idea what he is up too 🙄
Beginning to cloud over here and getting very windy. I believe we're in for a mixed bag of weather over the weekend. Make the most of the sunshine Nan2!
Glamm, hope all goes well with your meeting with Henry over the weekend. My SiL has decided that I should foster Great Danes when I move house! We used to have one years ago! I said we'd have to wait and see and at least let me get settled before he gets any more involved!
Is your friend in the flats at the crossroads Plant? DD told me when I suggested looking at them, that there used to be a lot of trouble with youngsters hanging around there, so that was off the list! Don't think I'm quite ready to move into one yet though. D's aunt and uncle moved into one near their son and it was a very nice flat, but I don't think they ever really settled there.
Just been to yoga and cleared the lounge ready for the chimney sweep to come in this afternoon. My buyers want a certificate to prove that the chimney has been swept! i hadn't thought about it, but I've now asked for one from the house I'm buying. Honestly, you've got to jump through hoops to buy a house these days! I'm sure it never used to be like this!
Went and saw The Duke at the cinema the other day and enjoyed it. There were quite a few people there but we were all well away from our nearest neighbour.
I actually saw a doctor face to face the other day. Asked me to send in a photo, but it was too blurry for him to make a diagnosis ( Hmm Hmmm) so I had to go and see him. In spite of so few people , they were still running 20 minutes late!
Not sure what I'm doing for the rest of the day. I'm sure something will leap out at me. Enjoy whatever you're up to ladies xx
Believe you can and you're halfway there.
Theodore Roosevelt.
Yes WG, my friend does live in the M&S flats at the crossroads. I had to park in the car park behind and when I walked along there was a space in the fences and saw there were empty drink bottles and a plastic glass containing some left-over drink and also some of those tiny bottles that they inhale (Ithink) I don’t think you are any way near to consider buying one of those but they are very nice inside. I don’t think you would be allowed a Great Dane!

Morning ladies
Wet and dull here ,
Nanto should be waking to lovely warm sun
Off to DD this morning Storm is poorly
Vomited of and on all night and was crying ,so yesterday morning DD rang Vets at 8 am told her to take him down ,
Checked him over he has a high temperature but no blockage ,
Think it’s either this bug that’s going around dogs or water infection .
Gave him pain killer injection and antibiotics ,
DD said he couldn’t even keep water down ,
By last night he had managed a drink and some scrambled eggs
but he just wanted to sleep ,
fingers crossed he is better today , such a worry .
Good morning, Oma and all who pop in later. Thank you for the pretty graphic.
Nanto - I hope you are settled in and enjoying much better weather than we are - it's raining here, again!
Oma - poor Storm. Thank goodness there's no blockage, but when they can't even keep water down you worry about dehydration. Sleep is probably the best medicine for him right now, but I hope he's soon back to looking for those salmon steaks. Send him a cuddle from me and Eva. x
Glam - today's the day! I hope it's the start of a lovely relationship between you and Henry. He will be a very lucky doggy if you like each other.
I don't think we'll be able to do any gardening today - after yesterday's rain it's very soggy and boggy!
I hope everyone is ok.
