Good morning, I am still laughing Oma, you with the crystal bowl!!! It is very windy here as well, I have just been for a walk, it was windy in the open. That is a long time for your niece to test positive.

Nanto, I hope your GD and the baby are both fine.

    Gem, enjoy the meal out.

Daisy you will have a full house with the 2 dogs!

I bought a coat last year out of the sale, I love it but it is just too long for the bike, I maybe mentioned that, I don't want the coat to be hanging when I suddenly have to stop. Last week was the same sale with Zalando, the same jacket but a shorter model, 70% discount then 20% off that amount, so, I now have the same jacket, but shorter, they are usually €150 and I paid €30! I can't resist a bargain. I also got a GAP cardigan and a Superdry summer jacket, now I have enough to last me.

The sun is out again like yesterday, only more wind today.

Lizzie - you're a great bargain finder - whether it's fresh vegetables or coats for all seasons. Well done.

Oma - glad you niece is finally negative. Twelve days is a long time. The crystal rose bowl sounds beautiful and surely it was underpriced at £3!! I'd have found it hard to resist as well.

After a few days of having Cooper to stay we get into a routine with the two dogs. He tends to keep us awake at night if he walks round in our bedroom because of his claws on the hard floor. The first night I put down all Eva's blankets, throws etc but he likes to scratch them up. Then we had the bright idea of putting an old sleeping bag on top - the kind that opens out flat. They both loved that and have slept together on it for the last two nights! He's used to getting up early with his family so having a lie in is out of the question, and he wakes up full of bounce and wanting to play! Neither OH, me or Eva are up for that!! He's now fast asleep on my feet. He's such a happy, loving dog and makes us laugh.

Sunny but very windy here, I was planning to start pruning the apple trees today as the forecast was sunny. The lady who used to prune them has moved to Herefordshire. Wish me luck. Oh by the way, they are only short growing trees. I hope baby H will have a clear test soon.

Daisy, I hope your GD is feeling better, how strange that was. Eva will miss her friend when he goes back home.

Oma, well done finding that rose bowl, most of my vases come from charity shops, lovely cut glass ones, very cheap. I don’t have Matalan near me.

Lizzie, we shall have to call you the champion bargain finder.

WG, Good luck with the sale of your house and the purchase of another. Everything crossed for you.

Plant, I love a bargain!! As for the jackets, I have very long arms, my legs etc have shrunk but not my arms, cheap jackets etc are not for me as the sleeves are always far too short, so, I keep an eye on the sales for the jackets etc I know will have long sleeves.

              Good luck with the pruning.

We are yet again getting a hammering from the wind ,
We have several trees down behind our property ,
Bs cousin has lost a 10ft wall around her garden , came down like leggo bricks ,
Sunderland's shopping centre has been evacuated because the glass roof has came down in places

                    Reports of damage everywhere ,

The people over the road have very large terracotta urns outside like the flower pot men ones both are on their sides
Next door to them had left his wheelie bin out as he was doing a bit of a tidy up in the garden at the front , he has had to come out and clear it all up as the wheelie bin tipped over and went for a wander down the street

Very windy here as well Oma.
When were on our way home from the supermarket a car coming in the opposite direction, just missed having quite a large branch landing on his car.
Hubby said if the man had been 5 seconds earlier it would have landed on his bonnet.

                      Plant GD is 18/19 weeks.

Daisy,we didn't go anywhere for coffee and cake. Hubby wanted to get something done today.
We have to go round to dads soon, someone wants to buy something.

The wind is pretty widespread, we should all stay in if we can!
The positive is I got a line of towels with plenty of pegs in dried outside this afternoon.
I swept up a lot of dried out autumn leaves from near the back door. Heaven knows where the wind has blown them from!

Touch wood, but wee seem to be escaping the worst of the storm. It's been windy here all day, but very warm for the time of year. We dug out a few barrowloads of horrible claggy soil from the front garden and dug in soil conditioner and mushroom compost, plus a bit of weeding here and there, and it was really lovely to be out!

Stay safe everyone - it sounds awful in some places. xx

Nanto - wht a pity you missed your coffee and cake - I hope OH got the jobs done. It's surprising how long these things take, isn't it.

Gem - well done on drying towels outside. I never thought about getting some of the washing done, but I did want to get on with the garden.

Oma - the cut glass bowl is lovely.

                            Wind has calmed down.

Done a bit of damage in dads garden so hubby is going this morning to fix it.
His brother is going to help him.
There is some more winds to come, but if isn't repaired it might end up worse.
Saw it on the news about the house in Newcastle having the roof blown off.
Also saw on the news about the snow in America, lots of homes without power.
We still have a roof and power,so i consider ourselves lucky.

                              Morning Nanto /ladies

It was wild wasn't it , That roof was just dumped in the front garden whole what a shock that must have been ,
Forecast to hit by 6pm again today .

Hope the fence can be sorted before then Nanto ,

My Sister has lost her fence she said there is no saving it as panels have broken like match wood ,

Has everyone survived in tact ? I hope so .

Daisy we said although the wind was wild it was very warm for this time of year ,

DD said Storm took himself to bed with Tallulah the cat and wouldn't go out for a walk till it eased off
They curled up together and slept

How are we all today ?

I have to go to Sainsburys and Boots the Chemist this morning then after lunch we going to see BIL & SIL and baby bump

Good Sunday morning, Nanto, and all who call in later.

Nanto - it's so lovely to have pretty, spring-like graphics at this time of the year. Thank you. x

I hope there wasn't too much damage at your FIL's but definitely best to get it fixed straight away.

Plant - how is Baby H? Did you start pruning your apple trees or was it too windy? Ours need doing, but they're a bit too tall for me to reach.

We've still got Cooper staying with us. GD can't stand or walk on her own but having "help" from Cooper isn't a great idea. I think Eva quite likes having him here - they play together and currently sleep together. She's very crafty if she thinks Cooper's getting too much attention and will tease him to go and play with a toy! But generally she's happy to share with him, and we're always very careful to make sure we watch them while they're eating. I do know why DS2 and DIL don't set an alarm though! Cooper is up and ready to play very early. This morning he woke me at quarter to seven, full of beans!

Oma - I hope there's been no more damage up your way and you have power etc. Take care. xx
