Good morning ladies, and Happy Sunday.

Daisy, your poor GD, I hope she gets stronger each day.

Nan2, your saying about your FIL's reminds me we should go and look at my mum's house. During the last winds her sunroom roof blew off! If this happened now no one would see it lying on the back lawn!

    Sensible Storm lying low Oma

We had a lovely evening with a group of friends at the restaurant. It's small family run one and they are so lovely. The waiter showed me my order written in Chinese and they all wished us a happy Chinese New Year as we left. My knee stabbed me all the walk home, that was the only downside! It's close enough to not need the car, and my unpredictable knee can give me a lot of pain after sitting all evening, especially on a cold night.
OH showed me a picture of a tree blown down on the golf course yesterday. It narrowly missed the Halfway House which had someone inside

No plans today. The wind has died down and the sun is shining. We will pop over to mum's to check for storm damage.

I hope everyone has a good day.

You ladies in the North certainly received a bashing from the wind. Very quiet outside and sunny, we have had a mild frost. I hope to get the other apple tree done today.

Daisy, Eva will have to train her house mate not to wake up so early. I hope your GD will feel stronger soon, very strange illness to affect her in that way.

Baby H and her parents still testing positive, according to the days you should isolate baby H should be free to go out today. I wonder if my DD will collect her. GD2’s partner is free to go out today but she is still isolating.

I will pop back later when I have pruned the tree.

Oma - sorry I meant to ask - how is your hip this morning? Sensible of Storm and Tallulah to sleep through the high winds. I hope C is keeping well and baby is growing nicely. How many weeks is she now?

Gem - what a lovely evening you had, and I'm sure the owners of the restaurant were so pleased to see you back. Ouch! I feel for you having to walk home when your knee is so painful. I hope there's no damage at your mum's.

Plant - Hopefully all your family are gradually getting better after the run of positive tests. xx Take care with the pruning knife!

We are having a gorgeous Spring like day. I spent the morning pruning the two small apple trees (not with a knife Daisy) and it was so warm I went to the duck pond to feed the ducks. Lots of families out, the cafe on the green were doing a roaring trade with take-out drinks.

Daisy, I do hope your GD is not giving cause for concern now.

Gemini, how nice to have a nice restaurant within walking distance. Sounds like fun.

Nanto, I hope the damage from the wind wasn’t too bad.

Oma, that was dreadful damage to that roof, miracle nobody was hurt. Pleased to hear that baby is progressing well.

Hallo everyone, I have just been for a bike ride to a DIY shop, colder than I expected it to be, I had my new jacket on though.

The storm is forecast here for tomorrow.

I have washed the blinds that are being hung up in the kitchen on Wednesday, I hope it is an easy job.

My friend came yesterday, she would really like to move to an apartment like this and is now top of the list for the one that my friend lived in, it could be another story tomorrow as they usually tell her she earns too much! They could be right.

Well done for getting the pruning done Plant.

Oma, that damage from the roof looks awful, it is a good thing no one was walking underneath at the time.

Gem, you would enjoy the meal out, it would be a change.

Daisy, I hope your GD is soon feeling better.

                    Been a suny day,but cold.

Gem, glad you enjoyed your meal out last night.

Plant, well done for getting the pruning done.

The damage at dads has been repaired. It wasn't the fencing Oma.
The wind had blown the felt off the outhouse roof, and off the shed and summerhouse.

Daisy do they know why GD isn’t walking well or is it she is weak from her virus thing , How is GS doing driving himself is he more confident now x

Gem How is your knee today , that’s the thing when you sit too long you stiffen up and you have trouble anyway don't you ,

Good news about C, Oma! Hope she continues to bloom for the rest of the pregnancy.

Very little wind here today, unlike yesterday when I could hardly stand against when I was walking along the river. Beautiful sunshine, but cold. Sunny again today and quite mild and I'd rugged up with hat, scarf and mitts! Was shedding them as I walked as were other people ! Rain forecast for next week when I'm having my coastal break! best take the rain jacket with me!

Got letter from estate agents confirming my purchase! Just need to organise a survey now and hope that it all goes smoothly. Finished the paperwork today, so that can go in the post tomorrow. Also had message about OH's Will. Seems that as he left it all to me, we don't have to go for Probate and she'll issue some sort of letter I can use if needed. Quite a relief to know that I won't have to wait for months before I can get it all sorted.

Daisy, hope your GD soon regains her strength and is soon on the mend.

Did an Oma last night and couldn't sleep! 4 hours I got according to my fitbit! Hope I'll manage a bit more tonight. But, unlike Oma, I didn't do any housework!

                          Oma, great news about C.
Knee not too bad thanks. I take painkillers and use Voltarol but it doesn't seem to touch it. Some days are not too bad at all, and others very painful. I always limp like a very old person when I get out of bed and have to wait until my knee unlocks before I can progress.

WG, with the time you have had you deserve this sale to go smoothly. Good news about the will too.

Take care if the storm comes to you Lizzie.

I'm glad you had nice weather Plant. It was quite nice here today but changing again now.

Well done getting the repairs done Nan2. The only problem at my mum's was a 3 foot fence panel partly falling down which was already on its last legs. It's causing no problem and the buyers would have to replace it anyway .

A friend called in for coffee this afternoon as we were about to set off to mum's, so we had a cuppa and chat with her before we went. Had she been a couple of minutes later she would have missed us!

Gem, glad your friend caught you. Pleased there wasn't too much damage at your mums.

                            Oma, good news for C.

WG,good news about the will. Hope all goes smoothly with the houses.

Oma, I'm so pleased C and baby are doing well. What a relief that the tumour isn't causing extra problems, but I'm sure both her NO and M will be glad when she's back on the medication. It's always a nail-biting time waiting for scan results, so I'm very relieved things are stable for her. I wonder if the changing hormones are helping to keep things steady? It's a good job your hip is feeling less painful - there's no slowing you down is there! It's a miracle no-one was hurt by that roof!

Plant, your apple trees will reward you with beautiful flowers, and lots of delicious fruit later on. It sounds as though you have had a lovely spring-like day today.

WeeGranny - I'm still saying nothing, but keeping fingers etc crossed. So glad you haven't got to go through the tortuous Probate process. Hopefully the forecast is wrong for you for next week and you get some sunshine.

Nanto - once roofing felt gets a bit torn it doesn't take much for it to tear off, but at least it's fairly easily replaced.

Lizzie - you got that new jacket just in time! Take care if it does get very windy! It would be lovely if your friend could move into the other friend's flat.

Gem - I'm glad your knee is a bit less painful. I find Volterol is useful when my thumb is very painful, but I read somewhere that it's most effective in that situation than where there is muscle, cartilage etc . How lucky your friend arrived when she did. Thank goodness there was no serious damage at your mum's.

My friend dropped in for a coffee this morning. Cooper gave her a very warm and enthusiastic welcome! but he knows his manners so stopped short of giving her a hug! Afterwards we took both dogs up to the paddock where they ran themselves to a standstill. I've had a lazy afternoon, which was lovely.

GD1 is still very weak and can't stand or walk unaided and the smallest effort makes her exhausted, but her mum and dad think she is just a tiny bit better. I think it will take some time and patience for her to regain her strength.

Daisy, sounds like glandular fever that your GD has ! I remember when I had it I couldn't do anything. Hope she soon feels better. xx
