Good morning Nan2, yes, that's enough excitement for one day!
Good morning all.
Snowman, complete with hat, is still standing in the garden!
GS1 watched his first football match last night. He enjoyed it. Sadly they had to play an extra half hour so he had to go to bed seeing no goal. The one goal, for 'our' team, came 5 minutes after he went to bed so I went to up give the good news. GS and I support Spurs because his Grandpa does, so we didn't want West Ham to win, so we supported Manchester United. He loved my suggestion that the other team should be blindfolded, or legs tied together to give ours a better chance. OH is probably glad I don't watch football with her regularly!!
DD will be coming for GS in time for him to start his daily school work. I have the dentist appointment.
No other plans apart from updating tomorrow's Tesco order later.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, Nanto, the teddies with their lovely Valentine hearts, Gem, and all who look in later.
Nanto - so much excitement so early in the day! It's a good job our bin men don't come that early - my BP would never recover. Dinner sounds lovely warming winter food - I'll be round later.
Gem - I bet GS is pleased his snowman is still standing. Well done to GS's "team" for winning - they didn't need the advantages you suggested, and I can only guess what S thought!! I hope the dentist goes ok and your tooth is sorted out.
I need to update our Sainsbury's order today and I might do some washing. It's mounting up - lots of towels, a dark wash and the never-ending pile of dog towels at this time of the year. Thank goodness for the tumble dryer.

Good Moaning Each,
The sun is glimpsing through! I can see enough blue sky to make a pair of sailor’s trousers, as the saying goes. Not sure it will melt the snow, but we can hope. The road here is a sheet of ice, but the main roads are ok. OH has to go to the doctors later and I suspect I have to drive him. 😬
We have had numerous visits from the neighbourhood fox lately. I won’t feed him but I know a neighbour 2 doors up does. He comes and looks at us through the patio doors. He looks well fed and his brush is beautiful.

Eleanor Roosevelt.
Be careful driving Grauntie. I would be driving to a dental appointment this morning but as there is no golf or any other commitments OH will drive me. She and her car are better on snow than me and mine.
Washing to do here too Daisy.

Grauntie - there's at least one fox near us and when I walk Eva she shows me exactly where they go through hedges and gaps in fencing. Occasionally one comes into our garden and leaves very quickly when Eva sees it! We don't feed them. I like to see them well fed and in good health, but I don't feed them.
Take care if you're out on the icy roads ladies. xx

Good morning, the sun is smelting the snow where it shines, for the rest it is still freezing! It was 30 degrees on my balcony yesterday, -2 all day on the other side. I have just done my exercise and 15 minutes on the exercise bike. Just drinking my lemon juice before I get changed. I ordered some supplements yesterday from Holland and Barrett, get 3 and pay for just one so a very good offer, they should be delivered today.
Gem, I am not a football fan at all, I never have been.
Granite, watch how you go, the roads are so icy here.
Good morning ladies ,
Well we had a telling off from DD this morning ,
We went to Aldi at 7.30 so we would be back at 8 get everything put away before she brings Storm at 9am . Then she is none the wiser that we have been out .
Came around the corner into the street and there she is walking up with the Dog and GS
We were well and truly Busted
Well we got a right lecture .
The snow is quite thick here and the roads are not good , car slid a few times and we were crawling around the corners.
If you have to go out be careful
Gem good idea to get S to drive ,
We have a Fox or Fox's that peeps through the fence , a couple of times over the years we have seen paw tracks in the snow in the garden but not often they jump the fence
We do have several squirrels come into our gardens they run along all the back fences to see who has the best food out , everyone loves them .
Just popping in to say Hi. I am going to the clinic with GD. Her mother DD is looking after the other two GC today. I hope GD's partner's test is clear again today.

Bit of a hectic morning, we had a job finding the clinic, baby H was so good. Big problem, GD and the health visitor couldn't remove the car seat from the wheels, so they took in as it was. which didn't solve the problem because the car seat had to be detached from the wheels to go in the car. Eventually it came away and we were able to drive home. On arrival to our road, it was blocked by builders renovating a house in the road. I made my feelings felt and had to make a detour to another road which runs into our road. It is a road full of pot holes. What with the builders and Open Reach our road is a bit of a mess.
Oh goodness Oma, you were well and truly caught out.
Be careful you folk with icy roads, ours are clear now.

Oma, I knew you two would be found out eventually, I can picture your faces
Lizzie, I don't like football either! I happened to have been married to two people who love it, so have by default seen some. I would have ignored last night's match were it not for GS taking an interest. No one in our family apart from my current and ex OH's follow football, so they will both be excited if GS1 takes an interest
Plant the story of the car seat and wheels reminds of when GD was a baby. DDs 1 and 2 had left my mum and me in a cafe in Scarborough with baby asleep in buggy, while they went for the car. They phoned when they were near and we were to have buggy collapsed and baby in my arms so we could quickly all get in kerbside when DD pulled up. Except we couldn't for the life of us collapse it!
I was in and out of the dentist very quickly this morning and OH waited in the car. My dentist is very close to York Minster so not a parking area, but no wardens appeared.
We came home via Thomas's where we bought lunch, and the greengrocer next door.
