Nanto2, we weren’t asked to stay after the jab either. When I queried it I was told we could sit in our car for 15 mins. That suited us. 😁
Just watching a young woman climbing Goredale Scar on TV. We have walked by many times and I can’t say I’ve ever had the urge to climb it myself...😂

I agree, Gem. Poor chap - and I'm sure he doesn't really dip his toast in his Ribena. Oma - I love the thought of him having Ribena for breakfast.

Grauntie - Perhaps you'll be tempted next time you pass that way now you've watched someone else climbing it.

Oma - I hope B's test was negative.

Lizzie - I hope your neighbour who fell over on the ice was ok. It's so dangerous, isn't it!

Gem - I'm glad GS2 was ok. Perhaps he just wasn't hungry yesterday tea time.

Good morning, Daisy, the neighbour was fine after her fall. The friends down on the 3rd floor sent me a message asking if Iiked pea soup, I said I did so they asked if I wanted to go down and eat with them so I did and I enjoyed it. He had been pulled over on the icy paths by his German Shepherd. He was fine, just his pride!! Men!!!

These are some photo's a friend of mine has taken on her walk.

                  Good morning ladies.

Nan2, a trip to Tesco counts as a good day out these days!!
I'm not sure why some people are told to sit for 15 minutes after the jab and others not. It could depend on which vaccine you have? I had Pfizer. I did wonder if it was just people with allergies who had to wait, but almost everyone had to, so I can't think that is the case.
Amazing pics Lizzie. Brr it does look so cold. At least the swans found water to swim in!

No plans today. I know one of our friends is having her vaccine today, so whether they will combine that with a trip to see how their house renovations are coming on, and call in on us, I don't know. They haven't said and to be honest it's rather cold for both parties for doorstep visits!

                  Have a good Saturday everyone.

The soup was lovely Oma! It is a lot of work and I never seem to make it for myself. I admire the friend, she had cancer of the pancreas over 2 years ago, she is one of the very few to survive the 2 years, she is so full of life, energy as well!!!

The eczema on my leg has started up again, I felt it in the night so got the cream on it this morning, it is the first time I have ever had eczema, first time for everything I suppose, my doctor told me it has a lot to do with dry skin and the weather.

Good morning all. It’s been so very cold here this week, I’ve almost hibernated. Apart from a quick walk over tomDDs to pick up Dexter I haven’t Been out of doors all week. I’ve had lots of phone calls, FaceTime etc so plenty of contact just not face to face.

The gas men were in the road all week, supposed to be moving our meters and changing the pipework but there has been a change to plan. So, after digging up the road and part of the pavement They have now filled in the holes and gone away! What a waste of time and money. Apparently it will be done after April.....budget I guess. I’m rather pleased as it would have been very cold having that work done and the gas turned off.

otherwise, no change here. Still plodding on, keeping busy etc. Some days harder than others and I’m really looking forward to the better weather. Keep warm everyone 🌞

I have posted on This and That about another scam.

Oh that is heartening to hear of your friend Lizzie. Pancreatic cancer still seems to be a death sentence, so to hear of someone alive and well after two years is wonderful. Long may it remain so!

Yes Gem, she had an 8 hour operation and after that chemo etc, at the moment she looks and does so well. The doctors call her a "medical wonder" !

                              Good morning Granny friends.

It's still cold here and very dry. I have very dry skin as well, and this cold dry weather, plus central heating makes it itch like mad. I've found it helps to drink a lot more water to try and keep hydrated, and I keep an eye on the humidity level in the house because it's easy not to notice it going down.

Lizzie - it is good news to hear of stories of long-term survival of Pancreatic cancer. The soup sounds lovely by the way.

Nanto - wow, a day out at Tesco. Take it steady - as Gem says it counts as excitement these days!

Enfys - I don't blame you staying warm and cosy indoors. I think we were meant to hibernate in our caves curled up next to a roaring fire in these cold dark days. What a nuisance having to go through all that upheaval with the gas mains again in April.

Gem - I don't know about the 15 minutes either - there doesn't seem to be any consistency. Are you ok today? No side effects I hope. xx Wrap up warm if your friends do call round - a hot water bottle to hug would be nice.

Oma - relax and enjoy the day.

Another unexciting day for us with no plans. I have put a load of darks in and will do the bedding later. I might give the utility room a good clean. The dog towels under Eva's food and water bowls need a wash and there are rather ominous-looking splashes on the skirting board where she flings her food around. Apart from that and cooking I think I'll try and finish the book I'm reading. I'm not particularly enjoying it but want to stick it out to the end.

                              Have a good Saturday, everyone.

Lovely and sunny here but I think it is cold outside. Nothing planned other than watching the rugby this afternoon. Had a very nice Chinese meal cooked by GD's partner yesterday evening. Heard yesterday that they should be completing on their flat on Friday, I do hope so. I think GD is looking forward to the move but a bit anxious to be in sole charge of baby H all day but we are only up the hill.

Only just seen the lovely pictures Lizzie. I don't think I have every eaten pea soup. Your friend is certainly a miracle.

Daisy and Gem, You do not have to sit for 15 mins if you have the Oxford vaccine.

I have never had eczema before but my hands are so itchy and red and I have the odd patches on my chest, legs and arms, at least I don't itch at night. I do wonder if it is because I am indoors most of the time with the central heating on. I wonder if I should buy a humidifier.

Enjoy your trip to Tesco Nanto, very exciting. I enjoyed my trip to the local hospital to pick up some tablets yesterday and came back making a detour.
