Good morning one and all. It's a beautiful sunny morning here as well, but I think it was misty overnight.

Gem - are your GCs on easter holidays? Ours don't break up until Thursday, and they will still be on holiday when the GDs' parents go back to work, so we will have them during that week. I'm pleased to hear your mouth isn't too sore. Two weeks is quite a long time to leave a stitch in I would have thought??? I hope S has a wonderful time on the golf course. Is the club house open as well?

Mimi - you are really starting to settle down in your new home. Have you taken "before" pictures of the garden? The lawn sounds like ours. It will be like the centre court at Wimbledon every day in your garden - what a lovely atmosphere it conjures up. It's sad that you weren't able to fulfil your tennis potential, but your talent was clearly there. The dentist and a mammogram in the same week - it will be good to get them over and done with. xx

Nanto - I like salad with something warm as well, but I know a lot of people don't. It sounds perfect for a lovely sunny day. I hope your in-laws are ok. Are they able to see any other members of the family now restrictions have eased a bit?

Lizzie - it makes sense to get your bike serviced as well as your car. I'm impressed you do more miles on your bike than in your car.

Oma - we used to have loads of Crocosmia in our front garden. They were almost taking over, then one winter they all died! They are a fantastic splash of autumn colour though. DS1 is very keen to get on the clinical trial. He's having the eye check today and another MRI on Thursday (I think) and then sees the specialist on the 6th which will hopefully be the start of the treatment.

No plans for today. Just getting out in the garden and enjoying the sunshine sounds the best option.

Wow, what a busy lot you are. Oma I hope you find the bulbs you want for your new beds.

Gemini, that dental treatment sounds horrific, hope it all heals okay. Enjoy your day with the 3 GC, hope the choc. eggs don't melt.

Daisy, so pleased the weather was sunny and warm for your first family get-together.

Lizzie, you are very wise to get your bike MOT done, best be safe.

Oma, good job you spotted the flush button was stuck. That happened to my DD and Sil's toilet flush and it flooded the hall, they had to take up and replace the carpet.

I am attending my dear friend's funeral later today, it will be very strange, no hugging etc. I suppose we will be sitting well spaced at the Crematorium.

Mimi, I hope your dental treatment goes well, I will have to face that soon. I have a new hearing aids, glasses next, followed by a visit to my dentist.

Nanto, have you forgiven your OH? Salad sounds good for today.

Enfys, very pleased your friend's OH was able to do a job for you.

Clover, have I missed a post from you, hope you are having this fine weather (well 2 days so far) and that you are able to enjoy it.

Good morning, another lovely day. Always sad to attend a funeral, Plant, (hug)).

I have had an upside down morning! Got my jobs done early then had a late shower, I might sort my wardrobe out later, I’m fed up with wearing the same old things. I have a friend coming for lunch on Monday!! We will be out in the garden if it’s nice but if not, she can be in the conservatory and I can sit in the kitchen, so exciting. We worked out that, apart from her popping round with My birthday card last June, we haven’t met up for well over a year. So much to catch up on. We have both had a lot to deal with this past year, her with a divorce and me with losing P, so I guess it will be quite emotional, but good to see her.

Have a good day everyone 🌞

Plant, hope the funeral went as well as could be expected.
              Hubby is slightly forgiven.

Enfys,it will be lovely to see your friend to have a good catch up,albeit emotional.

Oma, we have crocosmia in the garden. In fact last year hubby thinned them out as they were getting a bit out of hand.
Pleased the plumber came and got the loo sorted.

I hope the funeral went as well as it could Plant.
It's lovely to be able to make plans with friends again Enfys, isn't it?

My cheek has swollen a lot during the day. I checked online and more swelling on the second day is usual. I stupidly didn't take any painkillers all morning, and by lunchtime I wish I had and am now taking them properly.

I hope everyone enjoyed the lovely day.

Enfys - it will be lovely to see your friend, even if you are both emotional on the day.

Oma - what a relief you spotted the stuck flush and your plumber turning up so quickly. At least it was sunny so you could spend time outside.

Plant - sending hugs. I hope your friend's funeral went as well as possible.

Gem - sleep well tonight and definitely keep taking the pain killers for as long as you need them. Did S enjoy the golf?

Nanto - we had salad as well today.

I've started pruning the hydrangeas today - it always takes me ages. I remembered I needed some new, larger pots for several plants that have outgrown their current pots. So we had a trip out to the garden centre and got what we needed, plus compost for planting. It was good to go out and do something normal, although I realise I need bigger ears. I'd put earrings on (silly idea, that was), and wanted to wear my sunglasses as it was so bright. But the earrings got tangled with the strings on my mask and my mask wouldn't stay behind my ears with sunglasses getting in the way!

Anyway, I've now got plenty of jobs to be getting on with, starting tomorrow. OH has the opticians in the morning and the dentist in the afternoon, so I'll have to plan the heavy lifting round his appointments.

Gardening later today for us. Hubby wants to tidy some bits and bobs and i want to get the grass cut.

                    Another nice day is forecast.
They have been saying on the news, yesterday was the warmest March day since 1968.

Gem, hope your mouth is a bit less sore today.

Daisy, salad isn't my first choice,it was hubby that requested it,but i did enjoy it.
We had it with breaded chicken.

Good morning Nanto and 'hello' to your sweet kitty in the graphic.

I don't think my OH would often choose salad but he eats it without complaint when chef's decided that's what she's doing! We had ours with jacket potatoes and prawns.

It's gardening for me today as well. I want to get plants put in the new pots we got yesterday. I know I won't get all of them done, but making a start will be good. A friend is coming round this afternoon for a cuppa in the garden so that will give me a break. OH will be fairly busy with his appointments.

Gem - I do hope you're ok today. Yesterday must have been tiring, even though you love having your grandchildren. xx

Oma - pleased to hear LG is ok - we do miss her.

This sunshine is making me think I might put all the dog throws and bedding in the wash. Eva won't be very happy but they need doing every so often!

EDIT: Oma - our posts crossed. I hope MIL gives you both a good welcome, not a list of jobs. Is she ok? This last lockdown must have been hard for her. I do hope the doctor will give you something to stop the Vertigo. You must be heartily fed up with it. Big hugs. xxx

                          Good morning ladies.

Nan2, that little kitten made me smile
I hope the day of appointments goes smoothly Daisy.

My face was very painful this morning, but I think that is due to lying so long on that swollen side. I took ibuprofen just before 7 and its a lot easier now. I will be keeping up with them today!
This afternoon I am booked to visit my mum. I have not only our Easter egg and card to take but cards and Lindt bunny each from both DDs 1 and 2! I will try to pick up a bunch of daffs too on my way. There is something I want to discuss with the manager too, so I will talk to her for a bit.
DD and SIL3 are due to come after work, for an outdoor chat. I am thinking of postponing it until I am a bit less hamster cheeked though!

                          Have a good day everyone.

Oma, how dreadful for you, I hope the doctor will be able to help. I hope you find Mil well and not complaining, I am sure she will be pleased to see you.

Gemini, I hope your face feels better soon and less like a hamster. I hope your visit to your mum goes well, I am sure she will be very pleased to see you.

The funeral for my friend was very different, no singing, beautiful music chosen by her. Her OH who is 91 managed to speak to most of us after the funeral service.

The rest of my day was very different, had a phone call from GD1, would I like to go down to their flat. GGD was her usual smiley self. Came home, poured myself a G&T and sat in the garden.

Good morning from a clean house!!!! I have done an Oma and been through it all this morning! I do hope that there is a solution for your vertigo Oma and that your mouth is healing Gem, my neighbour had 8 out in one go and 7 in another, he said it was very painful and his mouth was full of stitches.

I was at the Lidl at 7am, they had coffee makers on offer from DeLonghi, filter type, they only received 2 so I am pleased I was early. A nice neat size.

I am going for a bike ride before the heat arrives, I want some tulips for my friend, she is the one that had pancreatic cancer, she went under the scan last week, that is all fine, but, they have discovered patches on her lungs and on her lymph nodes, not the news they expected. She has to go next week to the lung arts for biopsy etc.

Oma, your MIL will be pleased to be able to have visitors. Daisy and everyone, enjoy the gardening.
