Good morning Nan2. so glad to hear you are feeling fine now.
Good morning everyone else.
A cold, frosty but sunny morning here.
Today I have to finish compiling tonight's quiz, as I didn't do any work on it yesterday. We may go for a walk, I will see how my knee is first. As Oma said, the cold makes it hurt more.
Some of that housework stuff to do, and quiz with friends at 8 O clock.
Thank goodness deary January is over. I wonder if we will all have been vaccinated by the end of the month?“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good morning ladies , cold but sunny today ,

Isnt it a pain when you have to take stuff to the big post office ,
We are lucky at the bottom of our Estate we have the main sorting office that takes parcels etc so its easy for us to get too ,
Had a good clean and dust through this morning then a hot shower and creamed my feet , I like to keep them soft because of my diabetes its important
How are we all this morning ? anyone not feeling well I hope its nothing too bad and a days rest makes you feel better xx
Free hugs to anyone who needs them xx
It is 17 years today since my Sister left us , I have been on the phone to my oldest sister
She always has a good cry but she was ok this morning , I think it will be worse in April when its our Brothers ,
Time is going by so quickly , so much has happened since she died but i still want to ring her and tell her stuff , silly isnt it after all this time .

Good morning, that is not silly Oma, natural, I often have it with my mother, wish I could tell her things.
We have black ice here, we have been told to stay home, there have been so many accidents, I always go to the Lidl early, I did hear the police but never thought anything of it then looked out and the only 2 cars on the road near the Lidl had bumped so I decided to stay home, I have to go to the doctor later so hope it is clear my then.
Oma, I often rub coconut oil my my feet then put socks on in bed, lovely soft feet!
Good luck with the quiz Gem.
Did I mention that a friend has won a holiday voucher worth €1,500 with the friends lottery? She never goes on holiday, I mean never, doesn't like leaving the cats, I told her to think about it, it would be a change for her, I doubt if she will go though.

Oam and Lizzie, I think we will always miss those we were close to and wish we could tell them things. I am in the strange situation of that being the case with my mum, but she is still alive
I hope your friend does go on holiday once she is able Lizzie. She needs a cat sitter, we wouldn't go otherwise“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good morning one and all.
The turtle on the beach in Nanto's graphic is me in disguise!! I could do with a day on a Caribbean beach, sipping my Mojito and watching the world go by. As Gem says, hopefully February will see us all vaccinated and a step closer to Spring, and being the shortest month it's not long till March.
The weather here isn't cold, but there's a uniformly grey sky, no wind, no rain, no sun, just nothing.
Nanto - I'm pleased you're ok today. My arm feels ok this morning and I slept for ages last night again, and Eva woke me up about 8.30 because the builders were next door and she had to tell me!
Gem - do you have a support or anything for your knee. I'm just thinking it might help with the cold if you go for a walk. Good luck with your quiz questions. Did S get her reflexology yesterday?
Oma - sending hugs. These anniversaries come round far too quickly and they never leave us, no matter how many years it is. It must help having your other sister who you can share memories with. xxx
Lizzie - do take care in case there odd bits of black ice about. It would be lovely for your friend to have a free holiday if she can find someone she trusts to take care of her cats. It's always a problem with our pets, isn't it. We're lucky that we can leave Eva with DS2 and family, but in fact we've only ever done it from necessity, not for a holiday.
No plans for us today - yet. I think OH is going to be occupied with the printer though. I very rarely print anything, but I tried to print out a photo I want to have a go at painting from - and it came out without any blue. OH had put a new set of cartridges in a few days ago, so he's not a happy bunny and he's trying to work out what's wrong. I'm no help - printers drive me mad and I've no patience with them.
Have the best Monday you can, ladies.

Nanto, your picture makes me long for the Spring.
Oma, I find myself wondering how my sister is and want to give her some news, she died 3 years ago. I am one of six, there are only two of us left. I talk to my other sister about once a week, she is 92. I wish we lived closer.
I am waiting for a delivery from Waitrose, I hope they don't get lost again.
Good luck with that printer Daisy.
Gemini, do you base your quizzies on a particular subject each time. I must confess I am not a fan of quizzies, we have too many at our Ex.Guiders meetings.

Plant, I just do whatever takes my fancy re the quizzes. The topics have been many and varied!
I do theme them at Christmas and Halloween though.
Tonight we have part 2 of a TV and film quiz, the first part been 2 weeks ago. A picture quiz on flowers to identify, and the third section I have pinched from OH! It is a fun general knowledge one sent on their golf club WhatsApp group.
We usually try to include a picture quiz, and those cleverer than me can include sound or music clips. That is beyond my capabilities. I often do a Guess the song from a line of the song though.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Gem - that's a good variety of quiz questions. I always dread the film/tv and sport ones as I know I'm likely to get a big fat Zero!
Plant - the printer is proving to be a challenge. OH got some help online, where it said 'shake the ink cartridge'. It didn't think to say 'but not over the carpet'!!!!
And the sound has gone on my computer and I can't find out why at the moment. I was going to play some music - I shall have to sing instead! (Ouch!!)

My son & his wife are not too poorly with the virus he say's he is just so tired and sleeping alot he is a sweetheart not worrying me so there is no chance of me seeing him at the front door for his birthday he is staying away until they get the all clear.
Our hospital has reported that they have had covid wards increased from 4 to 10 since xmas its so scary for the nurses and staff I wonder how they cope with the long long hours they are working I feel so sorry for them.Arrow Park is the hospital where the people from Whu Han where sent last January for their isolation period,I wonder how those people are now? all well I hope.
My DDs office floor has been closed down for deep cleaning after 44 people tested positive just 3 days after she returned to work after isolating for 10days after being tracked & traced by that app thing she has on her phone.

I have lost the nose piece on my glasses, I also have a headache, I am wondering if it is because my glasses are not sitting straight. They are varifocals so they have to sit properly on the nose. I will give the opticians a ring tomorrow to see if they can fit one. I am overdue a test but I said I would wait until I have my second vaccine.
Pleased to hear your son and his wife are not too poorly Glamm. How can 44 people get infected in such a short time, the carrier must have been everywhere in the building. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Glamm - it seem unbelievable that your DDs office could have so many cases. I hope they don't have to go back until they've worked out how to keep the staff safe.
Plant - I'm sure the opticians will be able to fit the nose piece back ok. Hopefully that will stop the headaches. xx
Oma, and Plant - let's hope it's not too long before you can both see your sisters again. I think Clover's sister lives a long way away from her as well.
