    Good evening everyone.

We've just got back from DS1's after a lovely day. I'll write a bit more about it tomorrow. It's already late and OH has another early start tomorrow, so that means me too!

Quick 'well done' to Nurse WG, and pleased to hear Oma's MIL is feeling better, and Gem's mum had a good day at the seaside.

Night, night one and all. xxx

Bright this morning. It was cold last night, we had the heating on.

Hubby and his brother gone to the car boot sale.
I'll just see how the day goes, nothing particularly planned.

Good morning, Nanto and everyone who follows.

We've got drizzly rain this morning, but it's not cold. Little signs of autumn are starting to appear, though. It would be nice to keep summer going for another month!

OH has to go out this morning, and I've got a friend coming round for coffee so I need to get my skates on. I've put a load of washing in - I really do need to deal with the overflowing laundry bin! I was hoping to dry outside, but it's not looking too hopeful at the moment.

I hope you all have a relaxing Sunday - I'll pop back later to catch up with everybody. xx

          Good Sunday morning to all.
Well done on starting the December festival shopping Nan2
I hope your washing dries Daisy. A wet night here but the sun is out now.

We are eating out in a group of six friends tonight. The first time since pre pandemic that we have eaten out in a group that large! Two other friends declined and one was double booked.
I am looking forward to it. An early meal at 6pm.
OH is playing golf with a friend this afternoon.I have no other plans so far.

I hope this morning finds everyone well.

Enjoy your Sunday lunch out Oma, it is all feeling quite normal again. Pleased t see you are not madly cleaning again.

Daisy have a lovely time with your friend.

Gemini, enjoy your meal with your friends, I am sure you will have a lot to chat about.

We had a lovely sunny day yesterday, finished with bubbles sitting on DD and sil’s terrace in the sunshine. GD2 and her partner are staying now until after the wedding. DD looked after baby H whilst GD1 and I made a trip out yesterday. H is such a little poppet, aching to be on the move.
Shame it is raining today after such a lovely day yesterday, the family of my friend and neighbour are having a gathering at her house to celebrate her life as we couldn’t go to the funeral. We have had 5 deaths in our small road in the past year, all on one side of the road. One death this week across the road, he had a heart attack, went to see his wife yesterday, she is still in shock. We have lived opposite them since 1969, children used to play together.

Had a bit of drizzle this morning, but sun is shining now.

Good morning, it is warm and sunny here.

                      Gem enjoy the meal out.

Nan, certainly no heating required here, so warm.

I have just wallpapered the wall in the spare room, only 2 rolls so nothing that was too much, only, I was very annoyed yesterday, that friend promised to come and drill holes on Friday afternoon, I got a message he was tired and would come yesterday, I was talking to them at lunch time, they were going to Delft then he would come, so, what do I do, I wait, and wait and wait! No sign of him no message, after I had eaten I got the door and the door posts painted and decided I would do the wall today. I went to the other friends up here, they have been saying a while that the friend drinks too much, he does as well, he would have been drinking in Delft then too tired when he got back to remember what he was going to do. Now the other friend is coming in the morning but I have to emulsion the wall first so if it isn't dry I will wait until they get back again, no hurry, it is only for my washing racks and in this weather everything dries outside.

I don't mind him not coming, he could have let me know, it was like waiting for a parcel that doesn't arrive on time!

                      Rant over, just annoying!

                      I forgot to post this.

Just been to a garden party to celebrate the death of a friend in the road. Lovely family, very close, there must have been about 50 there and her family were great, she would have been proud of them all. We were invited to choose something from a table of mainly glasswear as a memento. Lots of people from the road, I picked up a friend of mine and the deceased. The lady died from sepsis but her DD said she died of a broken heart, never got over the death of her OH.

We had a lovely Sunday roast ,
We went to the local pub where GS1 used to have a part time job Glass collecting .
A real home made meal , no hard veg real Yorkshires and real Gravy was very tasty .

All we could manage after was a cup of tea and coffee's no room for a Pud

Lizzie I hate when people haven't the decency to say they not coming , its so bad mannered ,
My DS is the same he will say he is coming we wait for hours then he just doesn't turn up , makes me so mad as I didn't bring him up that way

What colour did you choose with wallpaper ?

Oma, I can’t understand why people are like that, I met the man this morning, he said he would do it this morning as it wasn’t, much work, 😏 I told him I had waited, he asked if I was annoyed, of course I was. I told him the other neighbor was doing it tomorrow morning. The wallpaper is the type you emulsion? over, going to be a shade of white, I have that over from doing the toilet last year. Very light, it is a small room with a wall cupboard on the other side.

Oma, your Sunday lunch sounded scrummy.

Lizzie,it annoying when folk don't let you know they aren't coming.

                              Dark early tonight,breezy and cool.

Nanto - we had the lights on before 6 pm tonight. It was quite sunny in the middle of the day though, and I got the bedding dried outside plus a few other things. I've even started the ironing. Are you having your living room painted or papered?

Lizzie - how annoying of that man not turning up. Your colour scheme sounds lovely - fresh and light.

Oma - that sounds like a good place for Sunday lunch. Does it get very busy?

Plant - what a lot of sadness there's been in your road, but your friend was obviously a much-loved lady, and how kind of the family to offer you a memento of your friendship.

Gem - I do hope you've had a good evening and nice meal with your friends. Did you enjoy your lazy day?

Grauntie - your version of 'busy' sounds much more like mine. I think 10 am is a right and sensible time for breakfast, and I feel virtuous if I get any jobs done before that! This morning I put a white wash on and finished writing the chutney labels, topped up water in flower vases and got the sucky up thing out so it knew it was going to get some exercise later! I'm sure your little mouse was very pleased with the grain. The GCs must have loved the footage you got.
