Good mornings ladies. At last we've got some sun. It's lovely to have a bit of brightness, but it doesn't half show up the dust I thought I'd dealt with a couple of days ago!! It can stay till the next time I get the yellow fluffy thing out!

Oma - your back really does sound painful. Is it the same as previous back pain or different? Just wondering because if it's different perhaps you need to see the doctor? Take care of yourself and don't try and do anything that will make it worse. xx

Lizzie - those tulips are fabulous. They're nice flowers anyway, but having a huge bunch of them like that it beautiful. I don't know about the copper coins, but let us know if it works.

Gem - I hope OH's car has passed its MOT. Have a lovely day with GS1 - it will take your mind off GD's exam and interview.

Nanto - I hope your in-laws are in good spirits.

No plans for me today. If it's dry enough I shall do some gardening, or at least tidying up, if not, I've got a blank canvas on the easel, so I might get started on another painting.

Gemini, have a nice day with GS, it will take your mind off your GD maybe.

Lizzie, what beautiful tulips, I put a copper coin in the water to stop them flopping

Oma, poor you, do take care and if it doesn't go soon, see a medic.

Sunshine here, someone is coming to prune the apple trees and Wisteria this morning and I have a click and collect this afternoon.
It seems very quite here but GGC day tomorrow.
I hope you are all up to speed (as they say) with what we can do in the next 2 months.

Plant, I have never heard of the copper before but it works. The tulips are lovely.

Daisy, enjoy yourself either in the garden or painting!

OH's car passed it's MOT, so GS and I will drop her off to collect it at some point.
I must try the copper coin thing.

Daisy, I have sent you a message

I think I am going to get a big bill. The lady gardener has finished the Wisteria and has now started on the fruit trees but it will be worth it in the end.

Daisy I have had this before but not for a long time its sort of in my back and hip I think its a flair up of the Arthritis I have in my hip , A few days and I will be fine ,
B is being a darling only letting me move around to keep from stiffening up ,

Gem Good to hear S car passed another worry off your mind how is your day going with GS ?

Lizzie copper coins are good in Roses too no idea why .

Plant are the trees and Wisteria very over grown ? It may be pricey but worth it when you dont have to do it yourself .

B is busy making Tomato and meatball soup , a recipe from his German Grandmother , very simple but so tasty a family favourite ,

Im not fat just 6ft too small

All OK here. GS has done his school work and is having some screen time. We're going to take OH for her car soon.
I am waiting for a parcel. It will no doubt arrive as soon as we leave the house!

Oma, the wisteria was being a problem and Sil didn't know how to train it and prune it. The fruit trees were not overgrown but had suffered wind damage.

Good morning. Highlight of my day will probably be seeing the bin men.

Lizzie, your tulips look lovely. I always put copper coins in with tulips.
I also prick them with a pin about and inch below the flower.

Gem,pleased S's car passed.Ours is due next month.

Plant, hope the gardener has done a good job. It'll be worth paying for.

Oma,hope you feel a bit better today.

                      Good morning all.

Nan2 I love the cheery bunny this morning.
Oma, how is your back today?

I had an email saying the parcel promised for yesterday is arriving this morning. I will pop to the shops and buy a cake and take that with the present round to DD1 as today is her birthday. Of all my 3 DDs she has the OH who wont do anything special for her birthday, so I felt bad she wouldn't have our present. She brought cakes round for mine and OH's last birthdays, so I want to make it special for her, even though we cant go in.

No other plans today. It's a nice day though so we may go for a walk.

                      Have a good day everyone

                        The parcel has arrived
It is what DD asked for, a weighted blanket. They are not kidding, I could hardly lift the box! It is beautifully packaged in a thick plastic case, but I don't have enough paper to wrap it! So after breakfast I will be buying wrapping paper and a cake from Sainsburys in the village!

                          Morning ladies ,
Nanto its sad when the highlight is the bin men

Gem im sure she will love her blanket ,
I have heard good things about them , I wonder if it feels like the Premier Inn Duvets ? I find them heavy but comforting
That's unusual for me as im not a fan of having anything thick over me , I still have a Summer weight Duvet even in winter .

My Back is still Painful but lots better , I can stand straight today that's a bonus ,
Im no longer like the hunch back of Notre Dame

How are we all this morning ,
Its wet and dreary today , Storm had some treats he is now asleep in the doorway with his nose sniffing the kitchen as he knows there is chicken for lunch
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Good morning everyone. This looks as though we could have another dry day - fingers crossed.

Nanto - Does pricking tulip stems stop their heads drooping?

Gem - pleased to hear S's car passed its MOT. I hope your DD1 has a lovely birthday. Yes, they're not kidding when they call them 'weighted' blankets! They're jolly heavy.

Plant - it's well worth keeping wisteria under control. We sadly had to take ours out because it kept getting under the tiles at the front of our house, but they are so beautiful when they're in flower.

Oma - how is your back this morning? Take is easy today. I bet B's got his hands full keeping you in check. The soup sounds very tasty and filling - perfect for a cold day.

I was aiming to go straight out into the garden this morning, but OH has asked me to cut his hair - much needed, so I'll do that first, do the Sainsbury's order and perhaps garden this afternoon.

Gemini, not sure what a weighted blanket is? It is my DD's birthday soon, not sure what to buy her.

Daisy, the wisteria is growing over a pergola on their terrace. The gardener is a local lady who has a horticulture qualification, she is a busy lady and well known in the village. I haven't had her bill yet but the fruit trees look better and the wisteria looks tidy. Hope they flower and the fruit trees have fruit. The plum tree that suffered in the wind looks better.
Thanks for replying to my message. I will look for a company that can transfer the film onto CD's. I wonder how long we will have CDs. I also have a lot of slides I would like saved for the family.

Oma, pleased to hear you are upright again, that soup did sound interesting.

I hope to do some more gardening today too Daisy but the GGC are next door so that will be a distraction. I have made them a banana cake to take home. My eldest GS, their daddy, loves his surprise treats.

Nanto, I hadn't heard of pricking the tulip stem, I will give it a go.

Do you think swimming pools are included in the Gym opening date?

Oma, glad your back is a little better. I’ve heard about weighted blankets, supposed to be really helpful if you can’t sleep well. Plant, my OH managed to rig up a contraption and transferred loads of slide that my father had taken to to cd, so nice to have them.

after a very stressful week I have st last got my Amazon account back, what a performance. I am going to leave it idle for a while and decide whether to use it or not. No one would be interested in it anyway, there are no card details etc on there, I’m just so relieved to have it sorted out. Finally managed to speak to two very helpful ladies, one in Edinburgh and the other in Dublin who sorted it for me.

I am planning a very relaxing day today, feel so stressed so am taking it easy. I was going into the garden but it’s started to rain, although it’s not so cold.
