Plant I do hope GD & baby are home today how lovely would that be.
We have had no sign of snow just a heavy fall of frost so much so that I had to spray my car door lock to get in and when I did the car wouldn't start for me so I left it until the afternoon but still no joy, looks like a new battery is needed I will ask my friends husband to go and get me a heavy duty battery we have a Halfords not too far away thank goodness. I had forgotten to renew my RAC membership after I cancelled it when I sold John's car so I renewed it today just in case it happens again I would feel cheeky ringing them now and telling them I have a flat battery after just rejoining even though they say I am covered right away.

Daisy Pops seems so much better today the vet took some blood and we will get the results back on Monday her heart etc where perfect and he said she was in good order considering her age so fingers crossed for Monday,it was funny following her around the garden with a little plastic container catching her wee as she wondered around the garden any neighbours watching must have thought I had lost my mind.

It ‘s been a bright sunny day here. I had a long walk this morning roaming around the golf course overlooking the sea. As there is no-one playing at the moment all the walkers and dog walkers are enjoying the freedom of the fairways (the greens are roped off ) Gem I Hope S isn’t too annoyed - we don’t do any damage 😀
As usual I haven’t actually spoken to anyone at all yet today. (Apart from myself of course 😀) Phone call to my sister later and then a Zoom with DD and DS’s.
DS gave me a set of jigsaws for Christmas so I’m spending time on them .Usual daily chores but not a lot else. I don’t have any motivation to sort cupboards etc out as I ought to but I think “well there’s always tomorrow, or the day after ,or the day after............”
I might treat myself to a cup of tea and a choccy biccy now!
        Stay safe all.

LOL Glamma, I can just picture you chasing her around the garden with a little bottle! For cats there is a gel you put in a litter tray to do that job. It's still not easy getting them to go in the right spot!

Clover I have the same 'Why do it today when they are so many days ahead with nothing else to do' attitude!

Oma - that looks like something out of a Hammond House of Horror film! Very sinister.

Avo - what did Bella think of the snow - or wasn't there enough for her to play in? Does she mind the cold? I don't know what happened to the 'stay local' message either, looking at all the overcrowded car parks here in the Forest. At about 3.30 yesterday there must have been about 20 cars in the car park nearest to us - and it was going dark!

Lizzie - I wish those piercing bright lamps were regulated here. They're a menace.

Plant - the snow is to welcome little Harriet home - I do hope it's today. Has GD's partner's car come back yet? xx

It wasn’t deep enough! Just a dusting. She’s ok in the cold as she has a very thick puppy coat still. She doesn’t like the wet, I have a dog coat that was Millie’s for wet weather, it’s a bit big but does the job of keeping her a bit dry. However her legs and tummy get very muddy and I have to wash them when we return. I have to groom her every day anyway to keep that puppy coat knot free, and she has a shower and clip every couple of weeks. I do have a grooming room and all the equipment. It saves a lot of money a trip to poodle parlour costs £45!

Hope Plan's family came home today.
It was milder today, which got rid of a lot of snow, turned very cold now.
I did treat myself today at the supermarket, bought some daffodils. Also bought some for in laws.

Oma, maybe he was going to try and embalm her with that syringe.

Glamm, Clover and Gem - I'm so sorry. I didn't see your posts when I was here earlier. I wasn't ignoring you, I promise.

Clover, I've been wondering if you have managed to get out for a walk with all this up and down (mainly down) weather we're having. I bet everywhere looked lovely in the sunshine, even if it was chilly. Jigsaws are nice and relaxing, especially if the picture is appealing. This time of year you don't see many people passing by and I'm certainly not tempted to potter about in the front garden until the days get a bit warmer.

Don't worry about the cupboards etc - they will wait. I agree with Gem - there's no urgency at the moment. How is your sister these days - is she coping with lockdown ok? I do hope you enjoyed your Zoom with DD and family.

Glamm - I had to smile at the thought of you following poppy round trying to get a sample. It's much easier with boy dogs! I keep an old soup ladle for this purpose (don't laugh!). It made the job much easier. Then transfer the prized few drops into an old plastic jug and then into the proper container. I'm pleased to hear Pops seems better, though. I hope you've got your car battery sorted out ok. What a nuisance, but better happening at home than when you were out somewhere. At least you can call the RAC if anything else goes wrong (hopefully not!)

Gem - I wondered how you managed to collect samples from cats. Now I know.

Avo - Bella will have to wait for her first proper play in the snow, then. I always had Equafleece jackets for my two Yorkies. They did a good job of keeping their tummies and part of their front legs dry and warm as well as their backs. They're very easy to get on and off and even Rusty who wouldn't wear ordinary dog coats was happy with them. I've just got one for Eva, and she loves it. She's much more relaxed on a walk when her tummy stays dry! We used to bath Rusty and Clyde every two weeks, but I used to take them to a groomer about every 8 weeks for a hair cut. It's not cheap, is it, but great that you can trim Bella yourself. It's nice with Eva that I only have to give her an occasional brushing, usually during the moulting season, but of course the downside is dog hair all over the house!

Oma - This doesn't bear thinking about, does it. How sick. I did look at the FB page, but I think most of the content has been removed - probably just as well. He/she is clearly mentally very ill.

They are home, baby H in her cradle, DDAnd SIL can't stop looking at her. I had a meal with them, her daddy gave her a bottle, her mother was fast asleep when I left. It is so lovely to have them home

Good morning. All the snow has gone now.

Plant, so pleased the family are home.

Good morning, Nanto, and everyone who pops in later.

Plant, what wonderful news - you must be so excited to have them safely home. I bet you slept easier last night knowing they were fine.

The sun's shining here at the moment - wonderful golden light - showing up all the dust and cobwebs, but I don't care. It's so nice to see the sun.

I intend to do some baking today. It's ages since I did any. There are a couple of loads of washing to do as well. We're having a new boiler fitted on Tuesday/Wednesday and some radiators replaced so the house is going to be in a tip, so no point in doing housework. What a shame, I hear you say, how will I cope with the disappointment!!!

Good morning Nan2, Pretty waterfall. I wish we had one like that near to go on a local walk!
                                Good morning everyone.

Lovely news that Plants newest family member is home where she belongs.

We finished packing the boxes of Christmas stuff yesterday and now it is all back in the loft until next time.

It is dry, sunny and cold, we plan a walk today. Avoiding mud I hope!
                                No other plans.
I hope everyone has a good day.
