I expect Eva is missing her playmate, they will be pleased to see each other.

Oma, strange that Storm took a dislike to that man, I wonder why?

Lizzie, pleased to hear you have an appt. with a doctor about your eye. I had a mysterious problem with my eye some time ago, it was an ulcer, soon cleared it up. Hope they can put yours right.

Weather nice and quiet today, I would love to go for a walk but our village is on a hill and there are hills in the village also so a few yards after leaving my road I have a hill to go down and then a hill to climb, nothing very steep. I would love to go in the woods backing onto us but not good under foot. I spoke to a friend yesterday and she said if she doesn't get her walk in before 9.30 the pavements get too crowded with people walking around the village.

Lizzie - how did you get on at the doctors? You can't be too careful with your eyes, so it's as well to get it checked. I think if I could smell onions and garlic cooking I'd want to know where it was coming from - they might invite me to share it! What an amazing kennels! There's one my SIL uses in Wales - sofas, chairs, tvs/radios, and half a mountain to run round in - all safely fenced.

Oma - Perhaps when your DD sees the doctor he/she can explain why it keeps coming back. If they say it's nothing to worry about, then I'm sure they're right, but there must be a reason for it. I can't help wondering if it's stress - goodness knows she must be feeling worn out by work pressures - not just the recent ones either.

I wonder why your shoulder has started hurting you again. Are you overdoing things? xx

Storm might just have been thrown by the fact that he hadn't seen the man before. He wasn't expecting to see a new person, and as he hadn't been there for a while perhaps he felt worried. On the other hand, I think dogs are mostly very good judges of character and respond to the people who they feel safe with. If Storm really liked that daycare it might be worth seeing if he can meet this new lad on neutral territory and get to know him.

It's really hard at the moment to give our dogs the social contact they need. Normally we go to training classes with Eva but at the moment the only dog she sees to 'talk' to is Cooper. She can't even go and see Bailey, DS1's dog. Cooper can be walked on the Forest off lead, but there's always the worry about social distancing if dogs need to be separated, so he was extra pleased to see Eva today. Bailey is still having his mid-day walk with his dog walker, plus whichever other dogs she has with her. But, to be honest, he's more of a people person - even more so than food.

Oh Plant, what a shame there are too many hills for a walk, and even the woodland is against you at the moment. It's pretty flat where we live, but when we've been walking at DS1's I really notice even small hills - not used to them these days. Your friend is pretty dedicated, getting her walk in early. It's a pity in a way, because going out for a walk later might break the day up more for her. Is she on her own?

Oma, hope DD finds out why it keeps coming back.
As Daisy says, maybe Storm was a bit upset because he was a stranger.

We enjoyed our full english today. Got a lot of praise from hubby, he said it was perfect.

Good morning, my eye is much better thanks, getting back to normal, I now have cream for excema on my legs, it started on my toe and now on my legs, I have used the cream once and it is already much easier so I think that will help, I have to go back in 2 weeks, the young doctor is expecting her second baby and goes on leave in 4 weeks.

Nanto, it is a long time ago that I had a full English!!! My hubby loved them, but without the sausage.

Oma, it could be as Daisy said, Storm would see the "new" man as an intruder on his territory.

It is raining here so may get the windows cleaned indoors.

                  Good morning everyone.

Lizzie, good news about the eye!
It's set to rain here for days now I think! I'm glad we got our walk in on Sunday.
I hope the in laws are OK now after the tumble Nan2.

Excitement of the day, Tesco delivery this morning!
Apart from putting that away there are no plans. Housework needs doing though, so I will be tackling a bit of that, and writing my mum's weekly email.

                  Take care, keep safe.

Morning Oma. I have just emailed the care home to ask how mum is this week. I email them once or twice a week to see how she is, and send mum a weekly email which they print off.
Fingers crossed Storm is OK and yesterday hasn't put him off.
I'm sorry you are in so much pain. I hope they can do something to ease it. This can't go on.

                      Shopping all put away now.

Oma, so sorry you are in pain again, it could be that the injection has worn off. I hope Storm feels happy back at day care.

Pleased to hear your eye is feeling better Lizzie. I am having a problem with excema at the moment. I have an itchy rash on my upper chest and the backs of my hands.

My computer is on a go slow so I will come back later or use my Ipad.

                          Good morning everyone.

Nanto - it's lovely to be greeted by that cheery bunny on such a wet, dark, miserable day. I do hope mum and dad are ok this morning. I don't often fancy a full English, but I could easily polish one off at the moment. Comfort food, probably.

Lizzie - thank goodness your eye is improving, and the cream for the eczema sounds as though it will help clear it up.

Gem - what a good job you enjoyed your walk on Sunday. Looking at the flood warnings, parts of Yorkshire look very vulnerable. I hope you're well away from any danger of flooding. It must be awful watching horrible smelly dirty water flooding into your home. I caught a brief comment on tv this morning about someone who has been flooded 8 times. I'd just want to give up.

Plant - have you got any cream for your eczema?

Oma - poor you. I'm so sorry you're in such pain again. Yes, I think you should go back to the doctor sooner not later. You need some sleep, apart from anything else. Sending hugs. xxx I hope Storm is ok in doggy day care - it will be interesting to see what happens. It may be as Lizzie says, he saw the new person as an intruder. We've noticed at dog training if you change classes for any reason it's really obvious that your dog regards all the other dogs as intruders in his/her class even though she's the one who's changed.

It's very exciting here today - I'll write on the Exciting Thread!!

Daisy, I had to smile at the dogs thinking they are the intruders when they go into new, pre existing class

We are in no danger of flooding here thank goodness. I was close to the river when I lived in town, but as our road was on a slight hill with the river at the bottom and we at the top, the water could never reach us. I have seen flooded houses and cars under water down there though.

Gem, it's awful to see homes being flooded like that. I'm glad you're safely out of the way.

It's surprising what dogs pick up on. I remember one day Eva doing a double take - like a character in a cartoon. A lady who was usually there with her German Shepherd, brought her other dog instead. Eva glanced up as she came in, started to glance away then spotted it was the 'Wrong' dog! There's also a lady with two Dobermans. It's very hard to tell them apart - one is slightly bigger and they carry their tails slightly differently. I don't think any of us noticed when one night she came with the 'wrong' dog, but Eva's nose was in the air immediately, sniffing like mad!

Eva and Storm didn't like the interlopers. Have you ever had any workmen in the house that they have taken a dislike to.

Yes Daisy I have got some cream, it is keeping it at bay, yet to be seen if it clears it up.

Nanto, thank you for my breakfast in bed served by the gorgeous bunny.
