Good morning. Lovely and sunny here today, not looking forward to the heat that is forecast later.....heat doesnt agree with me. We are waiting for the district nurses to come and give P his hormone therapy injection and do an assessment. He has new meds to try and help his breathing so will see how that goes.

i must try and get out into the garden sometime, and make a decision to have someone round to deal with the hedges once the birds have finished nesting, won’t be long now I don’t think. I have actual courgettes on my plants!! And lots of baby tomatoes coming along too but too many lettuce.

Hope B feels better Oma, and you get some answers. Have a good day everyone 🌞

Good morning everyone. It's a bright, sunny day here, and already quite warm.

No plans for today - yet - but lots of chores to choose from, both inside and out. I'll see how I feel later.

Oma - I hope B isn't feeling sick again, and he gets some answers from the doctor on Thursday. I have days when I don't seem to be able to catch up with what other grannies are doing. Sometimes, I don't know where the time goes. You've reminded me I need to get on with my Sainsbury's order today or tomorrow, and then it will be dog food ordering again at the week-end!

Enfys - I hope the treatment helps P feel better on his new meds and the hormone therapy. Well done on your little market garden - you're doing very well with your crops.

Nanto - I've just realised I never think of doing jacket potatoes in the summer unless they're for a barbecue, yet I love them. Enjoy yours today.

Gem - I hope the physio is helpful. Enjoy your afternoon with GS1 - at least the weather forecast looks good.

        Afternoon ladies.

Hope Oma’s B and Enfys P can get some relief soon. It’s awful when you’re worried and can’t do anything to help apart from asking the professionals.

Just been for a walk, very sunny but a light breeze so very pleasant.

Grass needs cutting and I’m thinking about it

My sister sent me some beautiful flowers yesterday which was a lovely surprise

        Homemade soup for lunch today.

Hope you have a lovely afternoon whatever you’re up to.xx

Having given up growing vegetables after my OH (veg. grower) passed away, I do envy you all your fresh fruit and veg. We will have a lot of plums later in the year.

DD wouldn't let me go on my own to get my click and collect order, so we went together. they have now gone for a walk but said she would be back to help me clean it all. I have done it now, plastic packs draining, veg transferred to paper bags and in fridge. Strawberries and blueberries in my own containers. I expect she will be in to check I have done it. I have another order booked in a fortnight, perhaps she will be happier for me to collect that.

Oma, it wouldn't do for us all to like the same toppings on jacket potatoes.

Hope B and P feel better soon.

About 2.30 we had a Mcdonalds meal delivered. But,we hadn't ordered it.
When i went to the front to see who was ringing doorbell, the delivery guy was way up the street.
He turned and waved, but i doubt he would have heard me if i had shouted to him.
Asked round some of the neighbours but nobody claimed it.

Nanto - I bet there's a household somewhere going hungry this afternoon!

Plant - You're very good at cleaning all your supermarket goodies. I clean bottles and hard plastic surfaces, but otherwise things I'm not going to use immediately, like tins or packets of cereal I put straight into the cupboards on the assumption that by the time I get round to using them any stray virus will have shrivelled up through lack of a host. On the other hand, the milk bottles get rinsed, washed with washing up liquid and fairly hot water. Dried on kitchen paper. Sprayed with anti-bac cleanser, air dried and are finally allowed in the fridge!

Clover - what a lovely surprise from your sister. How is she coping with everything?

It's got quite hot here today - lovely, but after overdoing things yesterday I've been taking it easy. After lunch I sat down and Eva climbed up besides me and fell asleep. Well, I couldn't disturb a sleeping dog, could I! After about an hour, she opened one sleepy eye, gave one thump of her tail and went back to her doggy dreams for another half an hour.

Evening ladies been a warm sticky day
Brian is running out of his Hep B drugs so I phoned the consultants secretary and she's organised a prescription to go to our local hospital pharmacy so we have to go down there tomorrow to pick it up . Could have sent it to our pharmacist to deliver but as they would have to order it in we not guaranteed getting them on time and he can't miss even 1 .
We will go down early and I will nip in for them , the pharmacy is at the entrance to the Hospital so I don't need to venture far

Could ask DD but she's working and does enough for us .

He threw up today had a nap and felt a little better he managed to eat a light meal for tea .

I will be glad when we see Dr he's been so well then this , you can't help but worry

Did some ironing and hoovered bedrooms then I have pottered with my jigsaw on and off all day .I finished it about 15 mins ago really enjoyed it something to do besides watching TV .

Oma, I'm sure it will be Graft VS Host, but no of course you can't help but worry. All of us with an OH with any serious condition know how you feel xx
Well done on completing the jigsaw!
Daisy, it's interesting what people do and don't wash and disinfect! In my circle many have never ever done anything (and are fine) others clean and antibac everything that comes into the house - and various variations of these methods
Nan2 did you eat the McDonalds? I agree with Daisy, some household would be phoning McD's to complain about their missing meal. Isn't 2.30 an odd time to eat though?!

Lovely afternoon with GS1 We are about to eat, so I will write about it later

Gem, we didn't eat the Mcdonalds. i don't particularly care for them, plus we had already had dinner.
They are going out for the birds in the morning.
been very warm today. This must be one of the warmest evenings we have had.

Gem - you're right about how some people clean everything and some nothing! I can't help wondering what the 'clean everything' people would have done with the McDonald's.

I thought 2.30 was a bit late for lunch, but if, like us you haven't had breakfast until 10.30 or 11 it's actually quite early.

Nanto - I'm not keen either!

Good morning, Nanto - what a lovely cooling picture for what will be a hot day.

Good morning to everyone else as well. It looks as though we should all be basking in glorious sunshine today except possibly Aggie, so I hope we can all relax and enjoy it.

No plans here, although I have already hoe'd the weed seeds in the greenhouse. I I don't do them regularly they take over in a flash. Just off to have a shower and then see what the day brings.

I hope B and P are feeling a little better and B's meds are ready for collection this morning.

                            Morning Nanto/ladies

It's going t be a scorcher , isn't it nice to have all the windows wide though .

Of to our local Hospital soon to pick up Be Hep drugs , I will phone first to make sure they ready so no hanging around .

Gem I wipe everything down before it goes in the cupboards or fridge , last week we bought those Pink Magnum ice lollies to try
i cleaned all the box down to go in freezer then B took the lollies out to save pace so a very clean box went in recycle

I don't like McD either can't see what people rave on about , I do like their Strawberry thick shakes though .

                              Good Morning dear ladies.

Nan2, a waterfall like that would be the place to be on a hot day like today.
LOL Daisy, you are right about the later lunches due to late breakfasts! In fact I'm sure we often eat lunch at 2 or later now.
Oma I adore McDs vanilla shakes, and OH the banana ones. We often treated ourselves to one of each when we were back and forth for my radiotherapy, as a treat

No plans here. We will probably be in the garden, shade seeking, most of the day. This evening is a Whats App quiz with our friends.
All 3 GC are going to be together for the first time since March today, a trip to the seaside

                              Keep well and cool everyone.

No real plans, I might do some strimming. My car insurance is nearly due, need to find the best price on line.

Poor B, I am so sorry he is feeling so poorly, is it tomorrow you are seeing a doctor?

Gemini, what a treat for your 3 GC, I bet they are excited about their trip to the seaside.

I will have to find some shade to put a chair, the sunroom will be far too hot.
