My OH has a dental appointment on Monday. He's way overdue for a final check up on some gum treatment he's been having, and when they phoned they said they had already caught up with their urgent appointments!
I was going to go back over todays Chats, but quite honestly I'm a nervous wreck sitting here knowing there's about 6,000 angry wasps waiting to get me. (They've eaten through the plasterwork in the ceiling in my study - hoping someone can come out and deal with it tomorrow!) I'm going to close the door and go to bed, hoping I can sleep! Poor OH is nursing two stings already.

Oh no Daisy!! I hope it is soon sorted out. Keep that door firmly closed
This happened to us once. Wasps buzzing inside the house, lots of them. Ex OH was working away as he always seemed to be when there was crisis! DD1 and I managed to keep them away from DD3 who was only about 5, and we found someone to sort it out.

Daisy, I do hope you get the wasp nest removed, I read a strange story the other day, a young man stayed at his in laws after he had been out with his friends, he got in the bed, there was a wasps nest in the bed and he was stung all over! Apparantly it was a spare bed and hardly ever used and the wasps had decided to nest there.
Grauntie, our dentists have been open a while now, all with distancing etc.
It is very dull here, rain expected and very windy, a day to sort the wardrobe out! I got the rug ordered from Ikea yesterday, I can collect it tomorrow between 11 and 12 am, I have a code to open the gate then there should be a parcel ready for me to collect.
Good morning everyone. It's dull and a bit chilly here, but plenty to do,. I need to tidy up the dog's freezer before her month's worth of food arrives, and the house hasn't seen a duster or the sucky up thing for ages. The wasps have been quiet overnight, but I keep looking over my shoulder to make sure they're not invading again. I hope the pest control people turn up - I haven't heard from them.
Nanto - we were house sitting for my BIL once and one of his hives swarmed and landed in a tree just outside the house. It was before the internet etc and I spent ages going through Yellow Pages trying to find a beekeeper to come and collect it, but in the end the swarm took off. I felt awful because BIL had a hive all ready and waiting for them.
Lizzie - I hope the rug adds the finishing touch to your decorating - you've worked so hard on doing it.
Gem - that must have been quite scary, especially with DD3 being so young. I'm worried for Eva because she'd just try and catch them.

Good morning everyone , another wet dreary day here .
Daisy anyone's worst nightmare that especially with Eva
Storm has been stung on the nose before it blew up like a balloon , he tries to catch them too .
Gem S won't get golfing today so a visit to the golf shop is next best thing 😊
Lizzie you must take a picture when it's all done I bet it looks lovely 😊
Nanto sweet Tweety pie made me smile
Grauntie I haven't heard of that cake you will have to give the recipie
Well I've done everything I'm going to do today , dusted hoovered and washed work tops down and have a dark wash in ,
It's getting harder to find stuff to do , the house doesn't get dirty I don't have the dog so not much drool or fur these days , so really I go over the same stuff even when it doesn't need doing just to keep up a routine .
I wonder how many people went to some of the pubs when some opened at 6am this morning?
Let the madness begin
Wow Daisy, We have had lovely wasps nests in the loft but didn't know they were up there. I have heard of mortar bees getting into brick work. Hope someone comes to the rescue soon. My OH used to keep bees and they always decided to swarm when he was at work on lovely hot sunny days. If I spotted them gathering to swarm I had to gently spray the hive with the hose. It was lovely to have them in the garden.
I believe our dentist has been open all through, I moved my appt. from July to October.
GS sorted out my tecky problems yesterday, apparently I wasn't being stupid, I am unable to use my wireless headphones with my new television, the new television hasn't got the necessary sockets at the back, so a new part is winging its way to me and I have instructions on how to fit it, more wires, I hate them. Life has become too technical for me.
I hope your GS enjoys his birthday cake Grauntie.

Yay - the wasp man has been! The nest was in a really awkward place - across a cavity in the dormer window, so not actually in the loft. He thinks he's got it all, but it's raining so he's not sure if the insecticide will actually get to the middle of the nest. I really hate killing things, even wasps but sadly there was no alternative. He says he'll come back to morrow or Monday if it hasn't been totally successful.
Oma - poor Storm getting stung on the nose. How did your DD treat it or did he have to go to the vets? I treated OH's stings last night with organic apple cider vinegar and an ice pack. Then we put sting relief gel on. This morning the one on the top of his head looks like he's caught a bit of sun - it's peeling like sunburn. I can't see where the one on his neck was.
Plant - techie stuff is so complicated these days, and changes so quickly even our whizz-kid grandchildren must have trouble keeping up sometimes. So glad the problem's sorted though.
I've tidied the freezer and am just waiting for the dog food to arrive, and by then it will be lunch time.

DD took him to vet Daisy they gave him antihistamines and some cream wasn't well for a few days and very sorry for himself but still hasn't stopped him the stupid dog ,
My new phone and television are giving me a nightmare. The phone is cutting in after one ring now, this seems as if it has happened since we added caller protect, so I have, after at least half an hour manage to take that off, I hope that might do it, it is so bad that you are unable to talk to anyone now. The new part arrived for me to be able to use my headphones, GS told me how to fit it but it doesn't seem to be that easy. Oh wow is me. On the positive side I have not finished my latest knitting project, sewing that up was difficult too.
So pleased to hear your wasps might be dealt with, I suppose they are not so active in the rain

Well we went to the garden centre this morning.
Alas, they didn't have any climbing roses.
Their cafe doesn't open till next Saturday,so couldn't get dinner there.
Enjoyed browsing though and i bought a few bits.
