We back gave him anti sickness drugs , He said could be something and nothing just one of those things but will see him in 3 weeks see how he is then .
Instead of going to pharmacy you have to wait in the clinic till they brought the meds to you, took over 1 hour to arrive .

    Hopefully this will ease soon

I hope your hubby improves on the new tablets Oma, just heard that the neighbour that fell has broken just about all he could break, rib through his lung etc so there is nothing they can do for him. Sad.

I hope that does the trick Oma.

Daisy, biscuits very nice, too nice.

I can't take this heat, sat indoors for some of the day, fan broke yesterday, it was only a cheap one and hardly use it but annoyed it broke when I needed it most. I am just going to water some pots. clouded over a bit now.

Lizzie - how sad, and such a shock for everyone.

Plant - how lovely to get your phone sorted out and see some of the family as well. Things only go wrong when they're needed, unfortunately. Will you get another fan? I love Garibaldi biscuits and I bet home-made ones are 100% nicer than the shop ones.

Oma - poor B. I hope the anti-sickness tablets do their job for him. Good for GS1 getting that hurdle over and done with.

Ladies - I have to reassure you - I haven't got Oma's staying power when it comes to housework. I do a bit and then hope it's ok for the next year or so!! The hot weather has never bothered me before, but for some reason I feel as though I've got no energy in this heatwave. It can't be old age, can it!!

Gem - I'm sure you're tired after you busy day, but it will be lovely in the garden this evening relaxing with your friends.

We've got a little cul-de-sac party organised for tonight. It's to welcome our new neighbours who seem very nice.

What a lovely idea Daisy to have a street party for the newcomers

Oma, I bet your GS1 is pleased to have the braces removed.

Lizzie, how awful for your neighbours family, what a dreadful thing to happen.

Garabaldi biscuits are a bit tricky as you have to roll out two identical rectangles, sprinkle one with currants and then lift the other one (which by that time is stuck to the board) over the top, then roll out the sandwiched pastry. The recipe is online.

Good morning everyone. This is the second 'get up early and get it done' day for me! I've given the garden a good watering, cleaned out the fridge, emptied the kitchen and living room bins and am just about to go for a shower ready for today's excitements!

So what's happening? Well, it's bin day, Sainsbury order due between 9 and 10 am, and I almost forgot it's also DS1's birthday - 48, how on earth did he get to that age without me noticing! It's also Sunshine's DD's birthday as well.

We had a lovely get together with our neighbours last night. It was a lovely warm evening, and I hope the new people enjoyed meeting us all, and it was nice that everyone turned out to say 'hello'.

We missed the thunderstorms last night but a friend in the next village says she could see the lightning out at sea. I don't know if we'll get any later.

Gem - how did your social evening go?

Oma - listen to your body and have a rest day - you're tired and there's nothing to be gained by pushing yourself to do jobs that can wait. xx

Nanto - I hope your in laws are ok in this heat.

                      Take care everyone. xx

                        Morning Nanto/Daisy and all.

Daisy the heat must be getting to you with your early chores!

So sad about the gentleman that fell from the balcony, lives changed forever in a couple of seconds.

I’ve been doing a lot of nothing. Lots of things I should be doing but no motivation.

What is it with football? First item on the Radio. 2 news bulletin this morning. I know there are thousands are fans and it was an historic result but to me there are a lot more important things in the world at the moment

Oma I hope B is helped by the new medication. It sounds as if the consultant wasn’t too concerned.

Hope Enfys and P are okay.

We we had a couple of thunderclaps in the night and some rain but not a full blown storm. It’s very misty here at the moment.

GD has been asked to report to Uni. in September as planned. However it won’t be the usual experience at first ,Fresher’s week etc.

Must get going now. Have a good day

Oma, I do hope you get a good nights sleep tonight. I hope B is feeling better.

Daisy, what a lovely idea having a gathering to welcome the newcomers. Do they have a family?

Yesterday was a bit too hot for me, spent most of it indoors, knitting growing fast. Need to go and drop off a returns parcel at a local shop sometime today.

I feel like that Clover, my normal routine seems to have gone to pot. Before the virus, I had to fit jobs in between swimming etc. but now I have plenty of time, I think there is always tomorrow.

                            Good morning everyone.
Hot already, but thunderstorms possible this afternoon and early evening.

Lizzie, poor man. It is amazing he survived the fall at all.
A cul-de-sac party Daisy, what a nice idea. I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm sure the new people will have. Garden gatherings are the new going out!
Aww, Oma, I hope you can get a nap today maybe? We loved our evening and I have just written about it on the What I did Today thread.
Clover and Plant, lack of our normal activities and routines (plus of course the total change to Clovers life) do put everything out of sync take away some of the motivation to get things done.

OH had arranged the husband of one of her golf friends to cut back some trees in my mum's garden this morning. She will meet him there, and knowing her, get involved in some way!
I will stay here, finish clearing away from last night's garden gathering, and strip the bed and get the washing on. No plans apart from that.

Keep cool and have a good day ladies

I was talking to a neighbour and that man did jump, broke his fall on one of the railings on the way down, that is the reason he survived. He was uneasy a while as his wife needs to go in for an operation on her knee and they were looking at a place for him in a nursing home, he had said all along " no-way"! He said he would rather be dead then go in a home, the services were going to be there yesterday to discuss it, he was well enough to realise all this going on, they were out on the balcony and he wouldn't eat, she told him he had to eat something and went indoors to get him something, went outside and he wasn't there! Dreadful!
