WG, i'm sure the birds will appreciate your spotted dick. Thats one of my favourite puddings with lashings of custard.

Gem, sorry you weren't much wiser about Henry, after his visit to the vet. How is he this morning.

Hope all those feeling unwell or in pain feel better today.

      Good morning everyone.
      Dull but not raining here.
The surprise visit must have been lovely Grauntie.
Henry seems a bit better thank you Nan2. He has eaten a bit of breakfast and seems himself, wanting to be with us. He has lost weight, which could be for several reasons. He is still a big cat, but less so. We will see what the tests results show if anything.

Reflexology for me at 11am. Although the back pain is a lot better then a few days ago, it's still there. A treatment can only help.
Golf for OH this morning. I'm not sure what the rest of the day holds yet.

      Have a good one ladies.

What a great pic Oma! Won’t he just fly from the garden? Mind you, he does look very comfy.
I have compiled the birthday pudding list so I need to find some pics and print it. I am hopeful that Mary Berry will have some spotted dick tips.
OH playing golf this afternoon so I will catch up on things I was going to do yesterday. I also have a bag of assorted string that needs unraveling. Now that job takes some beating!

Two men from Virgin working at house over the road. Came in separate vans, but taking a break on the pavement chatting now. Definitely a lot closer than two metres.
Next door have two guys from a garden firm cutting down big conifers in their back garden (it's all going on around here today!) Once again, two vans, but they had fag break at the front, standing closer than two metres. I know it's hard, but I think we need to maintain this distance for a while yet, with the number of cases in this country.

                    Morning all.
I've stripped the bed and the bedding is now outside and hopefully it will dry before it starts to rain.
The floors have been washed and I've looked at the pile of ironing but it can wait until another day, after all I have given it some consideration!

                    Lovely pic Oma

Grauntie, unravelling string that sounds as frustrating as putting hangers back on the rails after they have all twisted up together. When I worked in a dry cleaners it was sometimes my job to untangle the used wire hangers that had been thrown in cardboard boxes. Now that job could try the patience of a saint, there would been a lot of hushed mumbling I could tell you.

Gem hope reflexology helps your pain . How is Henry.

Going to have a look in the freezer and see what we can have for lunch.

                    Have a good day everyone

                      Hello everyone.

Apologies for being AWOL for much longer than usual. I've done a major housekeeping job that's been on my list for ages, and I've just finished, I think!

What have I done???? Upgraded the operating system on my computer - it's taken about 20 times longer than I thought it would, and then all the things I stay logged in to I have had to re-log in, including GransRus! We're just going to take Eva up to the paddock for a run, and I'll be back later to catch up with everybody.

That sounds like a big job Daisy, well done!

I had my reflexology. When she worked on the sciatic reflexes I felt like jumping off the bed! I had to grit my teeth for the pain. Hopefully it will help though. I have booked for two weeks time rather than the monthly treatment I generally have, to try to get my body back in sync.

Henry has a hyperthyroid problem and raised liver levels, other blood results were fine. The liver levels could be an ongoing problem or just remained raised after a past problem. For now we are going to treat the thyroid thing with a drug, and give him a supplement which helps the liver as well. He then goes back for bloods again in 3 weeks. We have to squirt the liquid drug into his mouth twice daily! I said we will give it a go. If we can't there is a cream form to rub on the ears, but its not as effective. I have yet to give OH this news about giving the drug!

Oma, Mr Russell Crow, certainly looks at home.

Gem, at least you know what his problem is now.

Its been cold today, but the sun has come out,so it may just warm up a bit.

Mr Crow is now with the right people , DD was reluctant to let him go mind she's like Mrs Doolittle that girl

She came with the cheese after she took him to sanctuary so I have managed to do a batch of Cheese & Onion scones for freezer to go with the fruit and plain ones I made this morning.

I ironed the fresh bedding ready to go on tomorrow it's hanging on the bedroom door so as not to crease again ,

I had some fabric so I intended making some face masks but when I started I discovered my hands won't let me hold the scissors straight so now not only can I not cut wallpaper I can't cut fabric in a straight line either my hands shake too much

Will you please stop it Oma, you will wear your house out with all the cleaning and you are exhausting me. I wonder if that crow was an escaped pet? I haven't been told anything more about the badger. I will endeavour to post a pic of my knitted garment, I have taken a photo of it.

I hope Henry will feel better with his medicine, will you toss up for who is going to do the squirting, Gemini. I hope the back does feel a little less painful after the treatment.

I am disappointed that we have lost the warm sunshine but we have not had any rain for the garden.

Enfys, I hope P is feeling a bit better today.

GM did you bake or steam the spotted dick? Hope you find some pictures. Let us have a list of what you are going to make.
