We've got sunshine at the moment, but it looks as though it could change at any moment.

Nanto - at least the supermarket is an outing!

I shall try to get some gardening done today - weather permitting. I want to plant out the beans and courgettes I was given yesterday, but I'm fast running out of compost, and everything else. I need a trip to the garden centre.

Pea soup out there during night , so thick I couldn't see the house across the road and they have a street light outside their house

Been watching the birds getting bathed in the puddles , their wings up and flapping around having a lovely time , at least something is enjoying all this heavy rain .

Another dark day , Nanto I envy you going shopping now that is sad 🙄😁

Good morning everyone. It's Saturday again!
No mist here, it's wet and dull but not raining. Higher temperatures are forecast for the next few days.
What a beautiful view Clover, how lovely to be close to somewhere so beautiful.
Nan2, simple things are exciting these days!

A supermarket outing for us too this morning, Sainsbury's for our click and collect. As I predicted, there is no hand sanitiser coming.
Our friends are coming over around 4.30 to go for a walk with us. We will then have fish and chips on our patio, hopefully in dry conditions
This has been week of fish and chips, cake and chocolate, being my birthday week. Healthy eating next week!!

Gem - we got hand sanitiser on our Sainsbury's order this week - it seems to be pot luck, doesn't it. Enjoy your walk - hopefully in sunshine - and your fish and chips.

I think I will put hand sanitiser on my next shopping list. Just to prolong my trip out yesterday, I drove past the pond. It was quite crowded and there were a lot of people queuing for coffee etc at the cafe and two ladies sitting having a chat sitting on a couple of camping chairs. I was a bit alarmed to see a crocodile of little mites with their carers winding their way towards the pond. There was no way they were going to be able to distance them from the other folk sitting around the pond.
I was woken up about 3am by a thudding, thought it might be thunder, then I wondered if the badger was back. I parted the blind and saw our cat cowering behind a chair and a large bushy tailed cat standing near him. Went and opened the french window, invited our cat in but they both ran off. I then lay awake for some time realizing I wasn't going to get any sleep so I got up, took two paracetamols and woke up at 9.30.

Nanto, enjoy your trip to the supermarket.

A few nice surprise's so far today ,
DD turned up with some shopping and with Storm and came into the house for a chat and a cupper , she will be our 1 bubble person from now on ,

Then a parcel arrived from a very good friend on here who sent me a beautiful jigsaw to cheer me up and as she said keep me out of trouble for a while now that's true friendship love her lots , a rainy miserable day turned into a smiley face day

Plant - it's a worry how people are taking chances. I wish they realised it's not just their health they're gambling with, but all the people they might pass it on to, including the medical staff who might have to care for them.

Oma - I bet Storm got a real fuss, and I'm sure DD got lots of virtual hugs, too. What's the picture of your jigsaw?

Plant technically we shouldn't really being in guarded group but we need some contact not just a couple of minutes at the door and we still maintained the distance .

Daisy it's a sort of office scene with kittens climbing around , very colourful and cute

Good morning Nan2, good morning everyone else.
I hope everyone is well today.
Nan2, the better weather certainly lifts the spirits doesn't it? Not to mention making getting out and about and having garden visits better.
It will be lovely to see your GD I'm sure.

No plans today. I do want to go into town at some point (I have been saying this for weeks) just for a walk and look around at our tourist-free city! Not sure if will be today however.
