    Good morning ladies.

What a horrible day it's raining quite hard and windy .

Gem I don't like it either , your right I think it's the idea of it being cold

Daisy I was gentle with my pillow only because it's new this time next week it will be a mess

Nanto I like beef stew intact I like stews in general a good hearty one pot meal

Well seems a few born today

My DD is 47 although I don't know how I'm still only 21

    Plants GS is 21

Gems SIL , how old is he Gem ?

Not much to do now I was up early dusted hoovered general clean down of handles cleaned downstairs loo then had a shower and cleaned bathroom , s today is going to be boring ,

I cleaned my kitchen drawers out yesterday and emptied the cupboards and washed the shelves down s what do I do now ?

The cleansing has just been to collect a load of household rubbish from next door , I didn't know they worked Sundays unless they trying to meet demand .

Have a good day ladies although it's not the best weather , I hope everyone is ok xxc

      Lovely breakfast tray Gemini.

Nanto sorry you have rain again, it is sunny here atm, haven't poked my nose out so not sure how warm it is. That rose is very pretty, love the colour.

I will spend some time sewing knitted squares together today and my click and collect is between 3 and 4. Not sure who is going to collect it. It is quite a large order so that will take some time to wash and pack away. Apart from that I will have a look at the garden after a very heavy hail storm yesterday evening and a little thunder.

I'm glad you have the sun Plant and Daisy. I am hoping it is coming our way tomorrow!
Daisy, you must be longing to see GS1 and DIL. I haven't seen SILs 2 and 3 since before lockdown, but did see SIL1 last week when he dropped GS off for his few hours in the garden.
I think SIL2 is either 47 or 48 Oma, (it was yesterday) I seem to have mental block about his birth year! So maybe the same age as your DD.

The dull weather is making me feel quite down. Having yet another ailing elderly cat isn't helping I think and I find I am constantly thinking of my mum, worrying how she is, and if she will want to move back home, and all that entails and implies.
I will shake myself out of it though. We wont get through this without being positive, will we?
If the sun comes back that will help I'm sure! Garden get togethers would be nice.

Gem - I'd send you some sun if I could. One worry feeds on other worries I find, so worrying about Henry and your mum must be making you feel low. Do you think your mum might want to move back home eventually, or once you can visit her do you think she'll be content to be looked after and have all her needs met without having to worry about things? My guess is she will be happy to stay there, have regular visits from you and her GDs and be warm and comfy every day. I hope so - for your sake and hers. Sending hugs. xxx

Gem I think with the lockdown and horrid weather , worries seem magnified somehow I think Daisy may be right once she can get visits from you and DDs she may decide to stay as she will be settled by then .

Poor Henry did you manage his meds ?

Wish I could give you a hug

              Good moaning each.
Nanto2 what a beautiful rose. I hope you are able to track it down.
The spotted dick is steaming away, it’s SiL’s birthday today so we will deliver it when it is cooked. We have Zoom meeting with some friends later. We do a quiz, each couple does five questions and the winners choose the theme for the next week. Today it is food and drink. It is good to catch up all together, especially as one couple live in Yorkshire. However, it does mean that I will have to put some makeup on...and then take it off later. 🙄
              Have a restful Sunday ladies.

                Hello everyone.
I seem to have lost my 'get up and go ' today , I feel as if I am wading through treacle.
We didn't wake until half nine this morning, that is the latest we have ever got up . OH seems to have surplus amount to energy but it's the complete opposite for me.

It's a dull but dry day here so far and thankfully not so cold and windy.

Grauntie I haven't spotted dick in years . I'm sure mum used to cook it rolled in greaseproof paper, foil and then a cloth and then it was steamed. It was always a Sunday dinner (lunchtime, always called dinner ) favourite.
I have steamed a jam sponge pudding made with beef suet when the DC were small but I don't tend to bother for just the two of us .

I am going to get some fresh air to see if it helps wake me up, honestly I function better on no or very little sleep.

                Have a good day everyone

I've found some energy from some where , it must be the thought of the pudding, will there be custard, please say there will be custard.

                              The sun is out now
OH is cooking. I doubt we shall be having spotted dick alas.
Thanks Oma and Daisy, I really don't know about Mum, because I cant see her or really have conversation. I don't think she can come home or that it would be best for her. She may disagree!
Anyway, I have shaken off my low mood of this morning. Upwards and onwards. We will speak to the vet tomorrow. We don't feel able to administer the liquid medicine. OH didn't realise this was twice daily for life. She seemed to think it was just a course. We can't get his mouth open even once! The transdermal cream in the ear wont be a walk in the park, but we will do that.
He is eating well today and seems happy

Oh my life!! I've missed out on spotted dick and custard. It's no use, Grauntie - you'll have to do an encore, please, very pretty please! I'll even make the custard for you - would 5 gallons be enough?

Gem - I'm glad you've shaken of your low mood, despite the weather. Twice daily for life trying to get a reluctant kitty to open his mouth is all be impossible I should think. I was a bit daunted when Clyde developed diabetes and needed twice daily injections, but that was easy peasy, and he never minded or even noticed half the time! A reluctant cat is a totally different kettle of fish (good mixed metaphor there, I think!) I'm glad he seem happy and hungry today - that's always a good sign.

Mimi - I hope tomorrow is a better day. Perhaps you needed that extra sleep but it's thrown your normal routines out of balance, and I think even in normal times we have 'off' days when we can't be bothered, feel tired for not reason and don't connect with anything.
