Good morning everyone.
It is fine here and sunny, I'm not sure if rain is forecast later. I think there is quite a bit of rain due over the next days. Maybe it will dry up for you to visit the garden centre Nan2
Plant I'm glad you and the cat escaped the sunroom eventually.
Henry was good yesterday, thanks Nan2 and Daisy. He hasn't wanted his breakfast so far today, but ate quite well yesterday. We will have to brave the medicine giving today, and if we really can't do it will have to get the cream-on-ears version, as the sooner he begins the treatment the better. He also has some sachets of medicine to go in his food, to help lower the high liver levels, so he needs to be eating to take those.
Our Sainsbury's Click and Collect order is this morning. No plans apart from that today.
Have a good day, I hope there is more sunshine than showers

Gem hope Henry takes the oral meds they will be better than the cream I'm sure , good luck
Nanto it may ease at your end to get to Garden centre , are all the plants outdoors or in plastic tunnels ?
Nothing major to do today might clean kitchen drawers out ,
Just put clean bedding on and swapped over my pillow for one from spare bed , mine has gone a bit flat and misshapen it's the way I scrunch mine up , B' s is the same one as mine and his is still perfect he always says what the hell have you been doing to this poor pillow when he makes the bed , he spends ages bashing it and trying to get it back in shape
Will pop on later to see how everyone is xx

Good morning everyone. Another late start here - I didn't wake up until 9 am, OH is still fast asleep. I'd better get a move on though as the dog food order is due this morning and I need to tidy the freezer out first.
It's windy with patchy sun here, but not really cold.
Oma - your poor pillow! I always make an indent in mine and then curl the edges round my neck but usually a gentle shake gets it back to normal.
Gem - I hope Henry has his breakfast. Don't you wish you could explain the importance of his medication to him!
Nanto - good luck with your rose hunting. Could you ring the Garden Centre to see if they have the rose you want in stock?
I hope everyone is ok this morning and still coping with the restrictions. Sending hugs to those feeling low. xxx"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

I have to put a spurt on, I am not dressed and I am going to deliver my GS3's 21st birthday card, he has already had his present. I told him I will not stay as his brother is still working and is in contact with the public. I will distance myself in the front drive.
I will pop back later. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good moaning each.
Re the string Daisy. My brother, being a boat kind of person, used to go to The Boat Show every year. He brought bags of assorted cord and string home and kindly shared them with me! He is an excellent knotter and a left hander like me, and tried very hard to teach me the finer points of fancy knots. He has given up 😬 and I am left with a large bag of cord and string which is very useful. All and sundry dive in and chop bits off when required, resulting in a spaghetti type mess. DD2 said it gave her anxiety just looking at it...🙄 It is done. All rolled up nicely. I give it three months.😆
We had hailstones yesterday. OH kindly built the fruit cage and I was bombed by them whilst stapling the last bit of mesh on.
Horrid out there today, I shall carry on with the knitting and hope the ball of yarn arrives soon.
I hope you are all planning something nice for dinner.
Oma, how do you get OH to make the bed? I ask but somehow it never happens.Women are like tea bags; you never know how strong they are until they are put in hot water.

Plant, I hope your GS has a lovely birthday, and it stays fine for the visit on the drive. It is my SIL2's birthday today.
My pillow gets like that Oma.
I hope the dog food order came and the freezer was ready for is Daisy!
The ball of string sounds fascinating Grauntie!
Sainsbury's collection went smoothly. Six eggs rather than the 12 we wanted and a slightly different type of Sensodyne toothpaste, but all good. Big excitement was my Gazpacho!! I adore it and you so rarely ever see it in restaurants here, not where we live anyway. You can't buy it either. A few years ago Covent Garden Soups had it as their soup of the summer which made me happy. I spotted this on the list at Sainsbury's this time, so bought some.
In fact I will have some for my lunch now“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Never had Gazpacho soup Gemini, I believe it is eaten cold. I hope Henry was a good boy taking his medicine.
Just got back from my trip to see GS3 to take his card and some cocktail glasses I found in the Charity Shop before lockdown. He is very keen on making cocktails. I gave him money as a present. It was dripping a bit so I stood in their porch and had a chat. Dil asked me if I had any sewing kits, I manage to find her a small one I have never got around to sewing it. I so wanted to stay and have one f their delicious coffees. I came back the country lanes way, felt quite okay driving again after all this time. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

GM that's his one job of the day making and changing the beds , I do help put the duvet cover on but the rest he does , I have even taught him how to put the fancy cushions on just so , he's a good learner he knows I won't be happy unless it's perfect
DD just been to collect her Birthday card she is 47 tomorrow , we gave her money she didn't know what she wanted so this way she has the money when she decides .

Plant, lovely for you to see GS3.
Gem, Gazpacho has never appealed to me, must be the thought of eating cold soup.
Daisy,i suppose we could have rung the garden centre and asked about the rose, but i thought i would get some cut flowers while there.
As it happens weather was bad,so we didn't bother going. Hubby just told me he sent them an email a few days ago, asking about the rose, but hasn't had a reply.
This is the one we want. Its called Bathsheba.

Nanto - what a beautiful colour that rose is. Does it have a scent as well? You can look forward to your trip to the Garden Centre once the weather improves.
I've made Gazpacho soup a few times and like it - it makes a change from the usual 'throw it all in' soup I usually make.
The birthdays are coming thick and fast - Happy birthday to Oma's DD, Plant's GS3 and Gem's SIL2.
Grauntie - those balls of string could tell a few stories, I'm sure. Isn't it amazing how getting a job like that done and dusted gives so much satisfaction! Well done. We used to go to either the London or the Southampton boat show most years, but never came back with anything that interesting.
Oma - treat your pillow gently tonight!

Good morning everyone.
My OH dislikes Gazpacho and I don't know many people who do like it. I think it is the idea of it being served cold which puts them off. It is quite delicious. Cold soup is lovely! I must try to make some Daisy.
The rose is lovely Nan2. I love peachy coloured ones.
I hope your DD has a good birthday Oma.
Plant it's good to keep your hand in at driving, Not only to keep the skill, but to keep the car going.
No plans here. We were thinking of a walk, but it is dull and wet with lots of puddles. Our favourite walks will be muddy.
Happy Sunday everyone.

Good morning. Raining again.
We've had breakfast and been showered.
Pottering round the house will probably be done today.
Hubby didn't fancy a sunday dinner,so i took beef stew out of the freezer yesterday. Will serve it with dumplings.
Daisy, the rose is highly scented according to what we have read.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning, Nanto, Gem and all who pop in later.
The sun's shining here! Boohoo. We should have been going to DS1's today for a late birthday celebration but the forecast yesterday wasn't great and it was cold and none of us fancied sitting in the garden muffled up and getting wet, so we've put it off till next week-end. But the sun's shining and it's not as cold as yesterday. We haven't seen DIL and GS1 since the week before lockdown and it seems such a long time. Fingers crossed next week-end will be ok.
So I have no excuse. I can choose from a long, long list of chores inside and out.
Gem - I might give Gazpacho a whirl when it gets hot again. It's lovely on a warm day, eaten out in the garden.
Nanto - the rose gets better, and better! I love scented roses, but always feel slightly disappointed if a beautiful rose has no scent.
Plant - I agree I think it's important for us to keep driving as long as we're within the restrictions. It's surprising how quickly automatic skills like that can deteriorate. I had to think really hard how to stop the back screen wiper the other day - it was so long since I'd needed it - I switched it on but couldn't switch it off!
I've been wondering how everybody is. I know there are grannies who are coping with a lot of sadness and problems - so just to say, I'm thinking of you and sending hugs. xxx
