Good morning everyone. Our busy two days caught up with me and I didn't wake up until 9 am! But if the weather is due to change tomorrow I need to get on with jobs in the garden.

Nanto - I'm so glad everything is fine. I must admit I was a bit worried when I couldn't find out how you'd got on yesterday, so I'm really pleased all is well and you can relax again. xxx

Gem - it will be lovely to see DD3 and more relaxing in your own garden. I hope things are all ok at your mums. How is your mum? Is she still staying in her room, or is she getting to know any other residents?

Plant - yes, enjoy the garden today! The thing about cleaning is it will always wait until you get round to it!

Take care everyone, and enjoy what might be the last day of sunshine for a while!

      Morning ladies.

Nanto such good news now you can relax ,xx

Gem have a lovely day with DD , B said to tell S congratulations

Plant make the most of the day it's changing tomorrow.

Daisy you have had a hectic two days your out of the habit , don't over do the garden xx

Well we escaped this morning to the beach , went early parked up and sat in car looking out over the sea , it was lovely not many people about and we got to see a pod of Dolphins that have turned up in the last couple of weeks , they were jumping out of the water it was a really nice surprise ,

We had taken a flask and enjoyed a cupper and opened the windows to smell the Sea air .

What really surprised us there wasn't one single seagull not on the ground or in the air , no sound of them either .
Usually along the front there are dozens of them , I said to B they won't be getting fed chips or scraps of food having no shops open or people on beach having picnics .

It has started to get quite a lot of dog walkers and joggers by time we left
Felt so strange and a little scary being out though 😬

Oma, what a lovely thing to do

No cleaning today anyone, enjoy the sun!

I have been to my mum's and planted out all her front garden tubs with geraniums and watered them well.

DD running late as a work deadline was changed ( have to keep the clients happy!) As we are meeting at my garden, it's no problem 😊

Wish we lived near the sea Oma! Bet you enjoyed the fresh air.......but doesn't everything look different when you haven't seen it for a while?

Just 0ver 40 miles for us, so not too bad, but I'd love to live closer to the sea.

We're only 5 miles from an estuary into the Solent and about 8 miles to a 'proper beach'. But we don't go as often as I would like - OH grew up by the sea and doesn't appreciate it as much as I do. I would go on my own and take Eva, but most of the beaches don't allow dogs from the end of March to the end of October, and Eva is a bit frightened of the sea.

I've spent the whole day in the garden, apart from a quick lunch break. I haven't got much to show for it though. It took me an hour to weed one pot - a large pot with a banana plant in it. It had been taken over by weeds with deep roots all tangled in with the plant. I'm sure I haven't got all of it out, but hopefully a deep top dressing will help. But I've also planted out my tomatoes at last, plus other jobs that were on my list. I ache in places I didn't know I had, but it's been quite a satisfying day.

                    Good morning everyone.

A wet one here. Thunderstorms are forecast here today. We all know the gardens need the rain, but its bad timing in the first week that garden visits are officially allowed!
I have an outdoor reflexology treatment booked tomorrow morning, so we will have to see what the weather is like then.
                    No plans today.
We will watch the cat today and see how he is. He seems little perkier this morning and is purring. Yesterday he just wanted to be on his own. He is hardly eating though, which is not like him at all.
Little GS goes back to preschool today, so I hope that all goes well.

                    Have a nice day ladies.

Good morning, I will catch up on all your posts later, felt so ill a few days from the cystitis, it was Whit Monday here so our doctor was closed, we can go to a "doctors post" in Delft, but with the virus still around I decided not to go. I phoned my own surgery yesterday morning, one of the "younger" assistants, she thought that because I have had two courses of antibiotics I should be over it, I told her I certainly aren't!!!! One hour later I got a mail from the dispensary that I could go and pick my medicine up, I phoned the surgery at 2pm to tell them I had done it and got my own assistant on the phone, she said it was certainly positive and that they have sent my sample to the lab. I have 3 tablets to take before bed, so hope these work.

About the dispensary, a young man took it over a couple of years ago, 2 young children, they live in the house connnected to the dispensary, a year ago his young wife took her own life, so sad, he was working and got a call from the school to say there was no-one to pick the children up, he thought maybe his wife had forgotton so went in to ask and found her. He helped me yesterday and seemed to be looking more himself.

On the brighter side, GD1 phoned yesterday afternoon, her father had told her I wasn't well so she phoned to see if she could do any shopping for me. Sweet! I told her a few things I needed and she came on her bike and brought me them, we sat out on the balcony chatting, she will be 15 years old in October, time does seem to go so quickly!

We get the rain and thunder from tomorrow Gem, friend in Aberdeen phoned and it was raining there yesterday.

you would enjoy the beach Oma, my nephew and family live in Northumberland and the eldest son lives very close to the beach, in fact I think they walk there.

Good morning ladies, raining here as well. Not heard anything about having thunderstorms though.

DS2 and his partner are supposed to be coming this afternoon, unless they cancel because of the weather.
Going to make a ginger cake in case they do come.

Lizzie, hope you feel better soon. Lovely that your GD did some shopping for you.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Just grey here at the moment. Our neighbour is painting his garage doors,it'll be done by lunchtime I've no doubt. Think I might make a cake today, nothing else on the agenda apart from cleaning the hob!

Have a good day whatever you're up to ladies x

Good morning everyone. It's also raining down here and is much cooler. I'm happy enough to have a few days rain, but not weeks of it! The garden is very grateful for what we've had so far and it already looks a bit greener and smells fresh.

Lizzie - poor you. You've certainly had a bad time with cystitis. Let's hope the new tablets sort it out for you. Does it feel a bit strange when your 15 year old GD does shopping for you, when no doubt you've spent the previous 15 years looking after her? What an awful thing to happen for a young mum to take her own life like that. It's so sad. Her husband is doing well to keep on working and coping.

WeeGranny - I hope your neighbour's garage door dries before you get the rain. What kind of cake are you thinking about?

Nanto - yum, yum I love ginger cake.

The change in the weather is going to upset a lot of people's plans, Gem. We were supposed to be going up to DS1's on Sunday, but the forecast isn't good. If we can't be in the garden we'll have to put it off till another day. I do hope you can get your reflexology tomorrow though. I'm sure it will help your back and your knee - how are they today?

Time today for me to catch up on a few household chores - no sun, no excuse to leave the dust any longer! Hey ho - it was good while it lasted. I might take Eva for a walk in the Forest though - it's much cooler and I don't mind walking in the rain - it's steady but not torrential. Eva might not be so keen but we'll see.

No rain here yet, not sunny but quite bright.

That sounds like a nasty infection Lizzie, hope the latest tablets clear it up. Well done GD for getting some shopping for you.

It is very frustrating that as soon as we are allowed to meet up with friends and family, the weather changes. Hope you manage to get your reflexology treatment Gemini.

Indoor light housework for me too Daisy and I am almost at the end of my knitting, so I might be sewing it up today.

I have booked an appointment with my mobile hairdresser for 7th July, fingers crossed.

I would love to live closer to the sea, Brighton is our nearest seaside, at least 2 hours away and that isn't a very pretty beach.
