I agree Oma, the Government is having to deal with a situation that they have no experience of in the past. I do think they have some very good scientific advisers who talk a lot of sense.

I did a lot of watering yesterday late afternoon, today I must water the courtyard pots. Lovely and sunny again, wind has dropped. Late getting up and am not in a hurry to get dressed.
Plant, we must be twins separated at birth !

Now come on, own up , who has crept into the bathroom in the dead of night and filled up my laundry bin ? I swear there are clothes in there I have never seen before. I'm on my 5th load of washing and I haven't even started on the bedding yet !

It is a strange thing Oma. I've often wondered where all the crumbs come from when the cutlery goes in clean.

Not up to much today but I must have a little walk around the block at some stage. It's my niece's 40th birthday today. Time speeds by.

Plant - we were late getting up this morning - even for us.

Mimi - that laundry bin gremlin must have wings - he's visited us as well. Next time if he will kindly come down the chimney and I'll leave him a sherry and a mincepie provided he goes straight back up the chimney with all his goodies.

We were late getting up too. Not much point in rushing to get up unless anything is going on

Not sure what i'll be doing when i get home.

Dinner is a corned beef pie(similar to a cottage pie) that i took out of the freezer last night.

Good morning Nan2, nice cheery graphic good morning ladies.

The sun is shining here too, another lovely day forecast.
Today OH has golf at 11, a more civilised time than last week!
GD and GC2 (look away those who disapprove) are coming again so DD and SIL can get a full days work in.
We put the paddling pool out for them last night.

Have a good day everyone, and sending HUGS to all who need them.

Good morning Nanto, Gem and all who follow. Nanto - I'd quite like to be in that hot air balloon looking down on the countryside on yet another lovely sunny day.

A busy day for me today - I'm going to clean my car this morning before it gets too hot. It's covered in pollen and looks awful, so time for a wash and hoover out. Then I need to do the Sainsbury's order for delivery tomorrow, and the sucky up thing is losing the will to function, it's so long since I gave it an airing.

I hope I can get time to sit in the garden at some point!

I hope everyone is ok, and can find something nice in today somewhere.

Not too late getting up today, no housework needed, all washing done. I think it is going to be very hot today so I will ditch the jeans and go for a dress today. I have been keeping the borders watered and they are looking quite colourful. would still like some more plants for some pots but not going to worry if they don't get filled this year. I have quite a few eggs, must find a use for them. Had a message from the council saying all collections will be back to normal this week. Recycling centres are open but there are long queues, I will wait for a bit to get rid of my paper and cardboard.

Good luck with the car washing Daisy

I could do with my carpet cleaned, DD's machine is very large and heavy, not sure I could manage it.

I am sure the GC will enjoy the pool and seeing their GM.

We've ended up with not one but two nice clean cars, but by the time they were washed, rinsed and dried it was too hot to clean inside. We had a distance chat with a couple of neighbours, which was nice, and by the time we'd done it was lunch-time.

Oma - you're right - between pollen and Sahara sand washing them was quite hard work. I have to confess this was the first time we've cleaned either of our cars, and OH has had his for about 3 years, and I got mine last July. OH usually takes them to the car wash!

Gem - our GDs are having a day in their pool as well. It's really hot this afternoon.

Plant - your flower borders sound beautiful.

I'm trying to work out what I need from Sainsbury's. I think I used today's allocation of brain cells up on cleaning cars!

Just had a lovely Garden visit with DD GS and Storm .
I had just finished clearing leaves away and hosing the alley way at side of house when they turned up with fresh Bread for us . Storm saw the gate open and was down the alley like a whippet.

So they came into the garden and sat chatting at a distance for about 30 mins having cold drink ,

Storm in those 30 minutes had a digestive biscuit , a bowl of ice cream and then ran in and sat in front of fridge till I got some cheese out

So miss him he's funny .

GS said they may get back to school for a couple of days a week starting from 4th
