Hooray. I can see, but not touch, two of my GC & DD2 on Monday. Hopefully the other two GC & DD1 on Tuesday. It will be so lovely to see them in the flesh again. So excited already.

Daisy, it can't be as hard as our family quiz the other night. My sister's questions were like University Challenge.😁 Oma, now the curtains are down I don't know whether to carry on with them or get wooden blinds. The room looks so much bigger & lighter. Plant I hope you won at musical chairs. 🤣

Good morning Nanto and your happy birds having their breakfast. Enjoy your trip to Wakefield. Who would have thought Asda could be so exciting a few months ago.

Nana - I think the curtains versus blinds is a difficult question (harder then University Challenge!). I think blinds look great in the summer, especially if you need to filter harsh sun out, but in the winter curtains look cosy, and there's that lovely feeling of shutting out the dark winter evenings with a satisfying swish.

Exciting morning in Domain Daisy - bins day! I must go and empty the hoover etc, so I'll be back later.

            Morning ladies .
            Enjoy your shopping Nanto

Daisy how thrilling the bin men coming

Nana I have roller blinds and curtains , the only curtains that get closed in my house is our bedroom curtains . Only because B has to have pitch black to sleep ,
Left to me I would leave them open even in winter .

I only have roller blinds on my patio doors as it's the only source of natural light in my kitchen we don't have a window

Hot day ahead so I have done what needs doing I have about 5 items to iron I will do them when it's cool tonight
B just put some silicon around bathroom windows the plaster has slightly shrank away from the frames and although you can hardly see it it's a gap for spiders to squeeze through

            How are we all today?

Daisy how is J and how's your back & neck ?

Gem how you feeling after your day of rest any better ?

Clover did you get porch done ?

Plant how's the knitting going ?

WG , how are you ?

Enfys are you and P ok ?

Mimi what about you are you ok too ?

Sorry if missed anyone out for some reason I feel I have missed a lot of posts no idea why so I thought just incase I would enquire how everyone is .

Have a nice day ladies I'm waiting for Asda to arrive will pop along later xxx

              Good morning ladies.
Nan2. I can match your excitement of the day, we are off to B&Q!
Daisy in my previous home I had wooden slat 'venetian' type blinds, plus curtains. The perfect combination to my mind
Don't overdo it Oma, on this hot day!
I'm happy for everyone who can now see family, especially those like Clover and Glamma and Sunshine who are living alone. My GS1 will be SO happy to be able to see his cousins, and a friend.

We decided to brave B&Q today. I need some geranium plants for the pots in my mum's front garden. I usually plant them up with a mixture of bedding plant flowers, but geraniums do well with infrequent watering, and look bright. OH needs an new attachment for the garden hose too.
We will probably relax in the garden this afternoon.
I hope we will have fish and chips tonight

              Happy Friday everyone.

Oma,thank you for asking,we're fine here! Making the most of this beautiful weather in the garden! I've had a few days feeling a bit down, but give myself a talking to and find something to do. Haven't done half the things I thought I'd do when all this started! Our next official outing is on 10th when OH has to go to hospital for blood tests. Followed by what I assume will be a phone consultation.
Hope all poorly people are feeling better and sending kind thoughts to those who are worried about anything x
Off for my walk round the garden, there'll be a new path there by the time this lockdown is over!
Have a lovely day ladies xx

Good morning. Thank you Oma, I’m ok. Ut P feeling rough this morning. He didn’t sleep well so I’ve told him to rest a while longer. Phoned doctor on Wednesday for a phone consultation and he wants him to have blood tests as he wondered if he might be anaemic, would explain the tiredness and breathlessness. So we have a trip out on Monday to get that done.

i was full of plans when this all started, sorry to say they’ve all fallen by the wayside. Instead I’m doing the essentials then taking it slow, reading a lot and seeing what each day brings. We won’t be changing anything we’re doing for a while, I’m still concerned there could be a second wave, so taking no chances.

I have a swollen face again, I get this every so often, have been to docs and he says it is “unexplained facial swelling”! It goes down after 24 hours but is annoying. I wonder if it is stress related.......I’m blaming that for everything these days 😊.

Another lovely sunny day, my veggies are all doing well, I can’t believe it! Otherwise, I’m just doing the barest minimum in the garden, too hot to do much else. Have a good day everyone 🌞

If P is a bit anaemic Enfys, some iron may really improve things for him.
I think you are wise regarding the relaxation. Just because someone says that from Monday you can see more people doesn't make it any safer than it is today. Everyone should still go with their instincts.

I don't think much will change for me, I hope there isn't a rise in cases. I think my GS and his family will probably visit, GGS is very good at not expecting to come close to his GP's. I might pop and see a neighbour in her garden. I am expecting a delivery of a printer this morning, within the next hour and I am not showered and dressed. Family next door will take delivery of it for me.

I hope some iron will improve things for P. I wonder what is causing your swollen face.

WeeGranny, it must be tough keeping your spirits up, hope the blood tests go okay.

Gem, enjoy your outing to B&Q.

Enfys, hope just needs some iron.

I'm assuming things must be getting easier at our hospital.
My gynae check up for the middle of June was cancelled.
But, i had a phone call this morning, they have made me an appointment for Monday afternoon.
She said they have started seeing patients in most departments now.

                          Afternoon all
Its another lovely sunny day here , but dare I say it .... we really do need some rain . Our grass in the front garden is just straw now even though OH did water it throughly with the hose pipe yesterday. He had this strange idea that he was going to feed the hose from the tap outside, through the bathroom window, along the hall and out through the front door. I told him that the hose leaks, ya but not much he said..... is it me or am I the only one who can see a problem here ?

Oma, I'm fine thanks for asking.

Enfys how is your swollen face and how is P

We aren't going mad with the easing down of the lockdown. Isn't it strange the things that worry you. One of my biggest concerns is if we do eventually go into town will the public toilets be open. Will safe distancing be in place?
I told OH that I can't go to town and back with 'spending a penny' .When Ineed to 'go' I NEED to go!
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Well something to look forward to tomorrow Nan2!
Leaking hosepipe all the way down the hall is not what you want Mimi!

Just waiting for our fish and chip delivery. When we first ordered some, two weeks ago, you could order in advance and choose your time.
For some reason that must not have worked so well, as now you can't order in advance. You place the order when you want them, and they come some time within the hour!
I ordered ours about 45 minutes ago, so not long now I hope!
I'm sure they will be worth waiting for
