Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.
It is still extremely windy here. Last night it looked more like autumn with piles of leaves everywhere.
Let's hope this deters some of those who would crowd to beauty spots.
No actual plans here. I need to go to my mum's house to put her green bin back in the garage (if it has been emptied) and check for post. I should have a walk today too. I ducked out of the last one OH did, on Thursday.
The bin lorry apparently broke down on Thursday morning. Three or four roads, including ours, didn't get their grey (general rubbish) bins collected. According to the council website they would collect them yesterday. They didn't so all our bins are still out at the front. A couple blew over yesterday in all the wind. Ours is too full to blow over.

Good morning one and all. Yesterday ran away with me somehow, but I got quite a lot done, despite the wind. The sun was nice and warm though. Today looks similar - I thought we might have one of the threatened showers, but no sign yet. We could do with a good downpour to water the garden and get some of the pollen off the cars and caravan.
Gem - I agree, perhaps the weather will deter some of the day-trippers. What a nuisance not getting your bins emptied. Perhaps they'll come today. Is S enjoying being back on the golf course, despite battling the weather?
Avo - are you feeling better now? I do sympathise with your internet problems. Ours is a lot better now we've got fibre to the cabinet, but it sounds as though your problems could be long-term. Thank goodness you can connect to your phone, otherwise you could feel quite cut off.
Plant - you must have a lot of patience to sort out knitting pattern problems.
Clover - the colours sound lovely.
Enfys - did you get your painting things sorted out? I started to watch the life drawing class but found myself torn between watching the model and watching the artists!
Hopefully I can get a few more jobs done in the garden today, and if it's not too windy we'll take Eva to the paddock.
Have a good day, everyone, and stay safe if you're venturing out.

Windy here again, not too hot in the sunroom yesterday. No housework today, need to get some washing done. I think I will have to water the borders this evening.
Daisy, I was ready to throw the knitting in the bin yesterday. I have had the cotton/nylon yarn and pattern for ages, bought it on-line. My problem is the pattern is just typed sheets and I think it has been translated and has lost something in the translation. It is okay until you get to the decreasing and increasing bit, it seems to have lost something in the translation.
Gemini, is your mother out of her 14days being isolated. I hope she will like it in the nursing home.

Plant, mum has been in the nursing home for 6 weeks now. She went in on Easter Saturday. They did persuade her to go downstairs once after her isolation period was up, but she wasn't keen and asked to go back to her room. As far as I know she hasn't been out since, which is a shame as there has been such nice weather to sit in the garden.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Morning ladies.
Gem you Mum must be so used to being on her own it’s her way of life and probably too late to change now..At least she is being looked after and safe.
Plant I know what you mean about the knitting. Perhaps you’ll come back to it today with fresh eyes. It would be a shame to abandon ot if you’ve got as far as the decreasing.
Windy here too so it’s no use trying to get on with painting the porch. Bits would just get blown on the wet surface.
Not sure what I’ll do today. Think I’ve found a knitting pattern that will do for the wool I found, just a straightforward jumper.I might tackle the jigsaw I’ve got on the go but it’s slow progress. I’ve nearly given up on it but I’ve got so far it would be a waste of the time I’ve previously spent on it.
It’s my SIL’s birthday today. DD had to reserve enough flour to make him a cake.
Have a safe day.

Morning ladies
Gem it's a shame but if she's happy with her own company and she's settled no need to rock the boat xx
I thought the same about the wind it might keep people away from the tourist and nature spots .
Plant you will have to adapt the pattern to your understanding although that won't be easy if it's a complicated pattern .
Daisy does Eva mind the wind ? Storm would only go out for a wee yesterday he hates the wind .
B just cleared the garden of all the branches and twigs then got the leaf blower / vacuum out for the leaves , It will be no better by tonight as it's windy again now but keeps on top of them .
I spent a good hour stripping down and cleaning my Dyson stick out and washing filters , it was starting to smell a bit although I empty it after every use it's the fine dust that sticks in it .
I got the instructions out how to get all the bits off , it's now smelling better and the filters and bits I could wash are in the airing cupboard drying .
we going to order tea from our local Turkish restaurant for delivery today , They have 5 rating and have won lots of awards even for their Sunday roast so going to give their take aways a go 😁
Have a good day ladies xx
