Well I pulled myself together and made some blueberry muffins.
Then I had a go at some stone painting. Only one turned out like I wanted

Enfys I’m so glad P felt well enough to have a busy time out today. Come Monday he will be on top form.

We had a lot of rain this afternoon Nan2.
Plant better a week early than a week late!
Mimi, oven cleaning it a job we really need to do here!
I'm so happy to hear that P is feeling a lot better Enfys.
Clover rock painting is on my list this weekend. I haven't had time this week

Another lovely Friday with cute and funny little GS, and lovely GD to collect from school. I love our chats on the journey home.
GD loves the new reclining sofa, but GS won't sit on it when it reclines!

              Evening All.
Slow off the mark today. I woke at 4am and couldn’t sleep again as the brain started whirring. Gd had been here yesterday and had to research the Black Plague for homework. We did it together as I have read a few books about it. I woke remembering points she hadn’t covered. Whatever next!! I’m 70 not 11.🙄 Did C shopping on line and went back to bed at 7.30am. Slept till 9.30. Had a pleasant afternoon fiddling around with a sewing machine and then GCs came for a sleepover. GS has made a marble race (brilliant), and GD has been in the shower for ever, having conveniently forgotten her homework which involved poetry, another passion for me. We will do it via FaceTime tomorrow.
Enfys, I hope the weekend continues in a positive way for Mr Enfys and you.
Our Christmas Starts Here party is next weekend so I will have to think about decorations etc. It just seems ridiculously early.
Have a good weekend one and all.

Plant - what a pity you missed the NT meeting, but at least you had heard that speaker before. It happens to us all, getting the wrong date, not just our generation - my DS1 and DIL are famous for 'diary mishaps' (putting it politely).

GM - at least you put those early hours to good use, doing some shopping. It sounds as though your GS has inherited your creative talents - the marble race sounds intriguing. Do you ever think you're working harder on a grandchild's homework than they are?

Enfys - I'm sure today has done you both the world of good. Well done Mr Enfys - but don't overdo it. xx

Clover - did you take photos of your rocks? I'd love to see them. I bet the blueberry muffins didn't last long enough to take pics of them.

I haven't got much to show for today apart from a very full sucky up thingy and a couple of dirty dusters. I suppose I'll have to start thinking about Christmas tomorrow ....

Sorry Plant, I thought you were a week early not a week late, I misread it for some reason.

                      Good morning all.

We we had a lovely time last night with the outlaws, we didn’t get home till past midnight. When I opened the front door the smell that greeted us was horrible.
We had foolishly left the cat flap unlocked and a pesky Tom cat had come into the kitchen and sprayed all over the kitchen door. Is there anything worse than the smell of a Tom cat, I can’t get rid of it, can’t wait for daylight to come so as I can open the windows. OH said open them now but I think that the damn cat might make his way back in her
Today we will make a start on moving things out of the kitchen and getting on with as much washing as possible as the washing machine will be out of action for most of the week.

Anyone doing some Christmas shopping today, I still need to sort OH out, he is so difficult to buy for .

                      Enjoy the weekend ladies
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning, Mimi and everyone, and happy December!

Mimi - I'm so sorry but I had to laugh about the tom cat spraying - you can now say that happened so you ripped out the whole kitchen and replaced it! Not the end you would have wished to your lovely evening with your outlaws. Ae you excited about getting your new kitchen installed?

I got up early this morning as OH was going to take the trailer down to the tip with an accumulation of rubbish, including the old sink etc, but it's pouring with rain so I think we'll move to Plan B.

I'm going to write some Christmas cards this morning. Don't get excited, I haven't turned into a 'Christmas in October' fan - it's just the cards to family and friends overseas, plus my SIL in America's 80th Birthday card.

I hope all the sleepless ones had a good night. xx

Nanto - you must be exhausted. I hope the shops aren't too busy.

Good morning, didn’t wake up until 9.00! Pouring with rain here, but not. Old so a busy day indoors today. Another Christmas present ordered yesterday, due today and that’s it. Wrapping next and card writing, very low key this year. I made a little purchase at Hobbycraft, 3 Lottie white China houses that you out battery tea lights in. They are very sweet and the sort of thing you could have out all year. I think you are supposed to pain and decorate them but I like the, plain white, And they only cost £5 for the set, bargain.

Have a good day everyone 🌞

Regarding the Advent thread, not everyone is here early,so i think we should give latecomers a chance to post a picture.
