Very wise not to go to aqua today Plant.
Take it easy today, and make a start on those Christmas cards

Good morning all. it's very cold outside, the pavements and road is very icy.

If anyone can remember back a week or so ago when OH took it upon himself to buy a horrible silver CD storage case which he very wisely returned! Well he has now brought two black fabric cases which are far nicer, and they will hold our 1000 plus CDs. When he has filed them all in the cases my sitting room will look a little less like a shop!

Plant make sure you wrap up warm when you go out

Oma, wow, 12 hours sleep You must share your secert

      Keep warm everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Afternoon ladies about to go to dentist right time right day, hope they don’t fine us from last week, there is too much of this sort of thing we are human beings and forget or lapse now and again not robots, I’m ready for them after 40 yrs of never being late we should be cut some slack
J is much better thanks for asking but he fell over a cushion this morning and banged his chin on the edge of a table, so a big lump and graze things come in threes

Oma - what a fantastic sleep - you must have needed it very badly. I generally sleep well, but 12 hours straight, zonked out - that's impressive! I'm sure you're bursting with energy now, but don't go mad on the shopping and housework and wear yourself out again. xx It's surprising how the packaging adds to the bulk of the present, but neither Barbie nor Sylvanian families are cheap.

Clover and Gem, I like dabbling too. Rock on, ladies!

Gem, your poor auntie, I really do sympathise. I'm sure she'll be delighted to see you. Time hangs heavily when you're on your own and suffering, poor lady.

Plant - a bit of gentle Christmas card writing is probably a sensible thing to do today - you certainly don't want to be out in this cold weather, although the sun came out here at lunch-time.

Mimi - Every time you look at your CD storages cases you will remember the silver monster.

Qwerty - poor J bumping his chin. I want to hug him better, poor love.

My friend and I went for a mooch round Lidl's, and we couldn't even get into the car park! We were lucky to find a parking spot in a lay-by not too far away, and the shop was heaving. I bought a few bits and pieces, including a small Christmas pudding which definitely won't last into next week, let alone Christmas. We both love it. Then we met up with 5 other friends for lunch. As always we never stopped talking, and there was a fair bit of 'do you remember so-and-so?' Plus, of course, catching up with news of grandchildren who all seem to be growing up far too quickly. It's always a fun day, but I cam home exhausted. Two days of chatting to people and I'm done for!!!

The bathroom floor looks fantastic - he's done a brilliant job and it will be nice to get the plumbing done so we can use the room again. The same chap is coming back on Monday to do our bedroom floor, so we'll have to get ready for that over the week-end. Goodness knows where we can put our king-size bed though!!

I'm glad I've got something in the fridge for dinner, so not much preparation to do.

Everyone seems to have had a productive day.

We went to a Senior cinema showing of “ Mama Mia Here we go again “ It was our first time at the Vue cinema as our usual Odeon cut down it’s four showings a week to just one which would be on a morning we can’t go because I’m working. I preferred the Odeon, the coffee was nicer and there were far less ads.prior to the actual film. However the biscuits were a lot better at Vue, a pack of two each and a choice.

It’s been very, very cold here today and the shops are getting really busy as Daisy noticed in Lille. The bus was full before we got even half way to town.

My new iron has arrived,I don’t know whether to be pleased or not,

I feel like a grumpy grouch!
Mum has really taxed my patience today (although there is a gas fire arriving in a few weeks time )
I have also found out that a lunch I was looking forward to going to with OH and golf pals is the same date as I am meeting some of my forum friends. Why do these things clash?!
I will return later when I feel less out of sorts

                            Poor J Qwerty!

That sounds like a lovely day Daisy.

Clover OH and I went to senior screening s at Vue a few times and felt it was worth it is just for the coffee and biscuits! Sadly they stopped it a couple of years ago.

Oma, yes we had a big incident over the gas fire a few weeks ago, you are right! Anyway she is having the one she wants, it looks very nice and fingers crossed it will be warm enough for her room with no other form of heating. Fitting day is December 18th. Mum wants me there and fortunately I can fit in between a morning meeting and collecting GS1 from school.

                            Night night everyone

It feels a lot milder this morning.

Off to in laws later, but no plans for after.
Going to read Gems moan now.

A much brighter looking day out today.
GS2 for the day, GD to collect from school, then off to the golf club tonight for prize giving.

                                Happy Friday everyone.
