Good to hear folic acid is keeping you tip top Qwerty!
The M&S cafe in town is as you describe Mimi We go to the one at the bigger out of town branch where you can always get a table and no pushing

We had a very nice pub lunch with auntie. It is country pub I hadn't been to for years, and had forgotten about!
We may take her back there for tea sometime.

I have washed the loose covers on a chair and settee today, they are a fight to get back on, they really need to be slightly damp. They are large cushions, every piece of material which is upholstery fabric comes off leaving an oak frame. I shall finish putting them back tomorrow. Degree presentation for GD2 tomorrow, her parents and her boyfriend are going. I am back to Aqua tomorrow, looking forward to it.

Gosh Plant that's some job to do , my friends mother has a oak suite that the covers come off to wash and I remember my friend saying it takes her and her DD to get the covers on again , it's squeezing the cushions back in and getting them straight she said is the hard bit , good luck with that 😊

WG it certainly looks like a pearl ☺

                      Good morning all

Sunny but cool ,I have just been outside to put the green garden waste bin out.

Plant, my 2 sofas in my previous home had loose covers. As they were cream and I had cats, they were washed frequently. As Oma says it was real struggle to get them back on!!
I hope you find your in laws well Nan2.

I have a meeting at 9.30, then picking up my mum at 2 to go to see my sister. In between I have mum's weekly shop to do, so a fairly busy day.
                      Have a good day everyone.

                        Morning ladies.

Rather grey here this morning. I think we picked the right day yersterday weatherwise for our weekly outing. We went to Mumbles on Swansea Bay.I think some of you know it. The sun shone and I could hardly believe the number of people about. Probably as the schools have now gone back all the holiday child care grandparents were celebrating their freedom.
We took a picnic and sat and watched the tide coming in then a stroll along the prom.ending at the ice cream parlour where we indulged in knickerbocker glories.

More mundane today with usual chores etc.

Hope Daisy travelled safely and has a lovely break

Gem you won’t have much time for yourself today so I hope it all goes to plan.Congratulations to S on another golf victory. You’ll have to call her Tigress Woods

                        Have a good day everyone.

You described it perfectly Oma, it is like fighting with a conger eel, not that I have every done that. Off to Aqua will deal with the last two large cushions when I get back.

Good morning, a lovely day here today. We are having a lazy day at home after lots of rushing around here and there this week. I am feeling shattered.

Yesterday i I went to optician for my regular eye test. They have recently been refurbished and have lots of super dooper new machines and he found some small areas at the back of my eye that he wants to look at further. Nothing to,worry about at this stage but as he said, if it should develop into anything it’s best to catch it early when we can take preventative measures. He was talking about macular degeneration and explained all about it so I’m definately going to have it looked at further. Another stressful afternoon, I felt worn out when I got home.

Also more news about DH which I will put in YEO.

Have a good day everyone 🌞

Good morning all. I've just used that hot flat hissy thing at last ! Stupid iron still dribbles water on the clothes no matter what setting I have it on, Cool and no steam, cool and a shot of steam, hot , no steam, hot and a shot of steam , hot with a spray of steam . By the end there is steam coming out of the iron and also out of my ears ! Wish my old one never died on me, it was a black and decker and it was great unlike this one.

We brought covers for our very first sofa we had. It was second hand off a very sweet lady who was moving to a smaller home so was glad to be rid of it. It was in perfect condition apart from where her cat had scratched . The covers were a nightmare to get on but once it was done it transformed the sofa. It lasted many years until we were able to get a brand new three piece suite . I do believe we brought the covers from a company that used to have adds in magazines, can.t remember t5he name of it.
I know when I worked in a dry cleaners people would pay silly money to get their covers dried cleaned when washing them would have been a lot cheaper. Not all sofa covers are washable mind , you have to be careful of shrinkage .

Enfys its one thing after another for you at the moment, keep up with your appointments and if you feel your eye sight is giving you any problems go back and see the optometrist at once,

Rather overcast here at the moment so I won't be doing any jobs outside today.

                                Have a good afternoon all.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.
