Crikey. Seems only a few days since I looked in on here but it's taken an age to catch up with everyone's news.

Someone suggested it might have been the Black Friday's events blocking up the internet that resulted in me not being able to pay for the food order. In the end I went to the supermarket to order 'in person'. It's the family get together/DD2's 40th b-day celebration on Sunday. I've got everything sorted, so now I'm looking forward to it.

Enfys & Clover I'm keeping you in my thoughts. You're a shining example to us all. Hope Thurs goes well for you & your husband Enfys.

Qwerty, hope that you enjoy your break. We have to tell the GC that we get the gifts they want but then Fr Christmas takes everything to their houses on Christmas day.

Plant I hope that you're over your shock. Tomoro is hunt around for my missing Christmas cards day.( explanation on another thread).

It’s very rough ,wild and windy this morning

I have to go into town again today.Would you believe it, the iron I bought from Wilco to replace the one from Amazon that wouldn’t work at all is also faulty. It doesn’t have any temperature markings on the dial Considering they were a Which Best Buy I’m not happy, so do I want a replacement or go for a different one?

Oma, DD is fine, they have quite a few friends, and seem happy. She is really wising they were here for Christmas though

A full day for me, so I won't be around much.
I am meeting DD2 for brunch this morning. She was away in London when I had the GC last week and will be again tomorrow, so suggested we meet up before we forget what each other looks like
This afternoon I will take mums shopping to her (which Mr Tesco delivered yesterday) Then she and I are going to visit my sister.
This evening I am going with friends to see one of those events streamings at our local Vue. This is The King and I from a London theatre.
As well as all this, our reclining sofa is arriving!

Good morning all , by heck, its a liitle on the breezy side today!

We have just finished moving out the shelf unit that held the CDs. It needed a good dust I can tell you! Now its back all dusted and photo frames placed on shelves. All I need now is two shabby chic wooden candle holders and two church candles.
We have started packing up a few bits in the kitchen ready for Monday. Most of the packing will be done on Sunday.

Thinking of Enfys and P today. x

Went to Smyths toys to return the Nintendo switch that GS2 decided dint want after we bought it
Called next door to B&M ,Pound land , & Hobby craft , then onto Morrisons ,
After lunch have to go to a posh hotel about 30 miles away to get a Voucher for a overnight stay for DD&SIL be glad when we in and door is closed for the day ,

Just a quick 'hello' to everyone, especially Enfys - hoping today is going smoothly for P. xx

We went out really early this morning - OH to get bits for the bathroom, including coloured grout as he will have to do a bit of tiling and needs to match the brown grout up with the existing tiles. While he did that I went to Sainsburys so we've now got a nicely stocked fridge. We called into DS2's shop on the way back, and ended up bringing Cooper home with us! I don't quite know how that happened.

Just going to get a bit of lunch and will be back later.

Good afternoon. Thank you for thinking of us, it went pretty well, I have put an update on YEO.

We have just got home after having lunch out, DH is dozing and I might join him soon. 😴

Had a nice evening out with DD last night at the Christmas Fair. It was held at our local football club so nice surrounding and p,entry of room and parking. There was a free glass of processo and mince pies which started off the evening then lots of stalls to browse. Samples of choc, gin, fudge were enjoyed too. But the highlight for DD, who in an avid football fan and a season ticket holder, was bumping into one of the players and having her photo taken with him. He was lovely, very friendly and chatty, really made the evening for her......I didn’t have a clue who he was 🤔.

Just been and posted all the Christmas cards,that get posted.

The bulb went in our microwave this morning.Thought we were going to have to go for a new one.
Hubby got his box of spares for everything out,and he had one.
Wouldn't surprise me,if he's got a spare one of me in there.

The rain it is a'raining.....again! However we had sunshine this morning though it has been very windy!

Achieved much more today than I did yesterday...even found time to go to the gym!

Nan2 I have visions of a little mini you in the bottom of OH's tool box ready to jump out if needed! You're organised with your cards! I did get last year's out last night and sort out how many I need this year. The list gets smaller each year!

Went for the Voucher this afternoon , it was raining so hard by time we got across the car park and into Hotel reception we were soaked , it was only a short distance too ,
Wet but stopped raining wind has been wild though ,
