DH having a tough day today, the chemo is really kicking in and he’s so tired and generally feels really rough. He’s really getting fed up now but I’ve said we must stick it out at least for a few weeks to see if it works. If it does it will be worth it but if it doesn’t well, we shall just have to wait and see. He’s still eating well thank goodness, keeping everything crossed.

the tree is up and I’ve managed to get into the loft and find the lights and little bits and pieces I put around and about but not bothering too much this year. I still haven’t written any cards!

its a lovely sunny day here but felt chilly out when I filled the bird feeders. One month to go and our DGD will be back home 😀. Can’t wait to see her.

Oh Enfys so sorry to hear that the tablets are now causing OH to feel poorly, I am sure he is fed up. Will you be seeing any medics now before Christmas?

Enfys, sorry to hear OH's feeling rough at the moment. Sometimes when you start a new treatment it takes a little while for your body to accept it, so hopefully it won't be to long before he begins to feel the benefits. It's a good sign that he's still eating and enjoying his food.

          Take care both of you.

Enfys it's always tough when it kicks in but as you say worth it if it works , you just have to keep pushing him and keep your head above water till he starts to get used to them poor man xxx

Just been out to post neighbours cards , only 20 houses in our little cul - de - sac so didn't take long , but it's so so cold I couldn't feel my fingers when I came back in 😲. Didn't help two houses have those silly bows on the doors that cover the letter box so you have to sort of slide behind the netting 😨

Poor OH Enfys, it's awful to feel so tired and poorly. I'm glad he is at least eating.

We came out of Tesco £160 poorer! Only about £7 of that is my mum's.

I had every intention of getting on here earlier , my DD and g/d called she wanted some advice about a gift a tool for her OH , I’d just got out of the shower it was 11 am but it is Sunday, they ended up stopping for lunch only a sandwich and it was 3 pm when they left, sil has done a course provided by the jobcentre about leadership , and took the exam today on the computer so she kept out of his way. So my trimming up today has gone a bit haywire, managed to get most done inside but by the time they left it was getting dark so too late to put lights up outside and he needed to trim the tree he puts lights on , still tomorrow is another day 😀
                Gem 😱😱
I am sorry Enfys P is not good as others have said it was bound to kick in sooner or later difficult to keep strong and keep smiling , let’s hope he gets used to them fairly soon, good that he’s eating that will keep his strength up , I feel so frustrated for you both 💐
Plant I can’t believe you have a son 58/😮 you don’t look old enough and I’m not joking !!!!
Hope all’s going well Daisy with your guests and your fairly sober hiccup 🤭

Enfys - poor OH. No wonder he's fed up, but you're doing a great job and as WeeGranny and Oma have said it takes a bit of time to get used to the work the tablets are doing. Sending you a hug, because it's hard for you, too. Well done on getting the things down from the loft. Don't worry about things you haven't got time for or don't feel like doing. Those who understand won't mind. Hang on to the thought about your GD coming home from Australia. xx

Qwerty - you ended ups with a busy day.

                    Night, night, Mimi. Sleep well.

We've had a lovely day with our visitors. As always we seem to be able to pick up where we left off, even though we haven't seen each other for about a year. They weren't staying with us - they use their time share property nearby, and will be travelling round seeing family and other friends, but we may see them again before they go back to France.

Gem - you did a big shop!

Oma - it went cold here, too.

Good morning Nanto and everyone who follows. It's not raining here and seems quite mild, but still pitch dark.

I'm having my usual Monday morning rush to get ready, but thought I'd take a minute out to say 'hello'.

I love all the new Avatars around at the moment. I've had the same one since we started GRU - I ought to have a change as well.

Enfys - I hope P is feeling a bit better this morning. Sending hugs.

                          Hope to catch up later.

Good morning Nan2, Daisy and everyone else.

Daisy, the temporary Christmas avatars , for those who have chosen to do them, and are fun I agree. I even gave myself a Halloween one

This morning I am having a reflexology treatment. My reflexologist is keen to get back in a small way after the birth of baby D 2 months ago. I told her I would have a treatment in January as I am too busy now. Then the other day I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with all I have going on. Much as I love my auntie and want to be there for her until her son gets here (she expects nothing from me) it is one more thing added to my very busy week. Anyway, I think a treatment will help so I have made time!
After that I am going see auntie as I haven't since Wednesday. I hope we will get the decorations out of the loft today and get the outside lights up.
We have 2 friends coming for an early evening meal. I have chat booked with DD3 this afternoon too.

Have a good day whatever it holds.

Good morning. Bright and sunny here. No plans for today apart from looking after Dexter later, DH seems a bit brighter this morning. I made a big beef casserole in the slow cooker yesterday so that’s todays lunch sorted. I might go out for a walk later, have missed going to the gym and taking exercise so really must try. I also have 3 boxes of little lights to sort out and find batteries for, not doing much in the way of decorations, but I do like lights and candles. And I just remembered, need to check on the sloe gin....taster maybe 🍸. Have a good day everyone.
