The start of a new week.

Daisy, we will still be there when your family arrives in Vegas. Do you know where they are staying.
We set off home on the 23rd,but with the time difference,it will be the 24th when we arrive in UK.
    Going to start packing today.

Nana, hope you have a lovely beef dinner somewhere.
Our beef is in the slow cooker.

The wind has dropped now and it is dry.
Hubby gone to the car boot sale with his brother.
    Breakfast now for me,feeling peckish.

      Good Sunday morning, Nanto.

I don't know where DS1 and family are staying - but I'll ask! How funny if it's the same place!

All this talk of beef dinners is making me feel hungry!

It's pouring with rain here, but still not cold, and we're having another late start to the day. It might be a good day to wave the hot hissy thing around - there's plenty for it to do!

      Have a good day, everyone.

Good morning ladies , dull but dry and less wind ,
Been out in the garden B sucked all the wet leaves up and I have emptied my pots it all looks a bit bare and sad at the minute till I get some winter plants in but its tidy ,

Last night we did something we never do we had a take away , cant remember the last time we ever did that , we have a very nice Chinese at the bottom of our estate so I had Chicken curry with rice ( Chinese curry is so different to Indian )
Really enjoyed it but boy did it sit heavy on my stomach I tossed and turned all night , I couldn't face breakfast this morning im still too full ,

Just had a nice hot shower exfoliated myself sorted out my tash and de haired myself now feel tingly clean
Daisy you cant get away from ironing whatever you do so grit your teeth and soldier on xxx

Oma - your garden tubs look nice anyway from those photos you posted. But today does feel like the start of autumn!

We hardly ever have take-aways, but its a nice treat for me when we do. I was the same when we went to friends for OH's birthday on Wednesday. It was a lovely meal, but I ate far too much and it was Friday before I really felt hungry again! There's nothing like a hot shower and a spruce up, is there! You're a slave driver, Oma! But you're right, I'll have to get it done sometime.

I very rarely, almost never get a take away, but on Friday when I was at my son and DIL we got a curry at the request of my little grandson. It was delicious, until I stood on the scales this morning, then I remembered why I try to avoid take aways. It was worth it though!!!

Morning all just managing a quickie before going out, sounds like those of you down country have had some awful weather ,hope it eases off , it’s raining heavy here at the moment and the mall we go shopping in isn’t under cover it’s one of those outlet places so we will just have to go in more shops 😬
Oma , Daisy and Sunshine I love takeaways but OH doesn’t , I keep threatening to order one for my self but never do, so I can honestly in 40 yrs say we have never ordered a blooming thing, my Dd and family sometimes call and order a Chinese of which I partake but I never have ordered
I had a bath this morning and it wasn’t even my birthday, I’ve had a pain on the right side of my shoulder blade and a dull ache down my arm so took some ibobrufen and had a soak and I think it’s done it good, it’s been like nagging toothache
Must go now put a bit of slap on I look like I’ve been dug up this morning bye for now my lovelies

Good morning, it’s been pouring with rain all night here and all morning too so very wet and soggy.

Takeaways, mmm I enjoy a nice Chinese but since DH has been ill, there are so many things he can’t eat so we haven’t had one for ages.

Had a lazy Sunday so far, showered, hair washed and roast chicken in the oven and that’s it, DH still playing with his new computer so I think it will be me, my crochet and the tv this afternoon. I had planned to cut the grass this weekend but far too wet to even think about it.

Has a text from DS, he has just completed his first half marathon just outside Adelaide. Very hot apparently but he did it! DIL did her first one a coup,e of weeks absolutely so I think they have a little competition going on between them.

Wet here and very dark. I am still not dressed, got up very late so breakfast will be my lunch as well. Family gone to JL, not sure what they are after buying, because GD2 works for Waitrose they get a good discount there. DD has to keep Sil out of the television dept. I am trying to collate the choices from the family for my birthday lunch. we have a take-away occasionally, usually an Indian. All this talk of beef roast is making me want to have one.

Have a good shop Qwerty, try not to get too wet.

I changed the plants in my pots yesterday Oma, hated pulling our the ones still flowering, It was such a lovely warm day I took the chance but forgot I was suppose to be having a flu jab. I shall have to go either to the next one or get it done at the chemist. It wasn't an appt. just pop in clinic, you meet people in the queue you haven't seen for ages.

Have a good day all whatever you are getting up to.

                    Good morning all .
We enjoyed the Fawlty Towers dinning experience yesterday evening , We were greeted with a glass of fizz on arrival and the Basil appeared and naturally OH was the first person he picked on , OH was sat with his back to Basil so Basil decided to polish the top on OH's head with the sleeve of his jacket ! After a few mins we could hear the unmistakeable laugh and "Oh I know " of Sybil , she appeared with mobile phone in one had a glass of G and T in another . After that Manuel made an entrance .
We were then escorted to the dinning room where we sat on tables of 8 ( there were 10 tables in total ). Some of the men on our table , OH included, went to the bar to get some drinks so Sybil took it upon herself to tidy up so she took away their chairs and cutlery away . I had to cling on for dear life to keep OH's chair .
Then the soup was severed and almost at once Manuel tried to take mine away. I had chase him down the dinning room to get it back
As the evening went on Sybil got more and more drunk with eventually her appearing with her knickers on the top of her skirt followed by a trail of toilet tissue !
We had lots of signing ( Manuel rendition of Tom Jones Deliah has to be heard to be believed ) and general chaos . The show ended at about 10.30 and then a disco took over but we left just before 11

                      Good morning all.
I am loving reading what you are all doing while I am away. Fawlty Towers sounds hilarious Mimi

This is what we are doing today https://www.novascotia.com/events/fe...n-regatta/-461

Our local B and M store (back home) burned down yesterday I saw footage on FB, thick dark smoke for miles. We live about 3 miles away, and our village were advised to close all doors and windows.

                      Happy Sunday everyone

Qwerty I hope the shoulder & arm feels better. My takeaway weakness is Pizza, not one for curries & prefer homemade stir fries to takeaway Chinese. Oma I hope that at least you enjoyed your curry.

Gem that looks great fun. Are you & S taking part?😉 I saw the B&M store in flames on the news too.

Mimi you sound as tho you both really enjoyed your night. Plant I'm pleased to see you had a relaxing day. When do you go away Nan2?

I was looking forward to my pub lunch. Sunny day, beautiful. We pulled up in a car park at Martin's Haven. OH said there was a cafe. No there wasn't but we walked the 'easy route' around the coastline. Challenging but boy it was worth it. Spectacular views. Off to dentist tomoro as 1/2 of my back tooth broke off on Friday night. Sleep well all.
