Just got back from in laws. Made sure everything was done, before we go away.

Came home with quite a few presents for our Golden wedding,but we won't open them till we get home.

Just had an email about our Fawlty Towers dining experience tomorrow evening.
Drinks in the reception area at 7.30 where we will be greeted by Basil and Sybil and then escorted to the dining room by Basil . Nothing can go wrong at this stage can it 😉
Then we have our three course meal with Basil , Sybil and Manuel helping out with the service, still nothing can go wrong can it 😆😉
Then Basil, Sybil and Manuel entertain us until later in the evening when music and dancing will take place until 11.30
It should be a very good evening out , looking forward to .

Well this part of Wales is certainly taking a battering from the storm.Gale force winds and heavy rains. Of course I had to go out in it to go to work. I have waterproof shoes and jacket but I did take spare trousers which I changed in to when I got there.

Gem I’m glad you’re getting out and about and spending lots of time with DD and SIL.

Oma ,a trek for B but with no worries it could have been a lot worse.

I’ll have to catch up with the wedding later,just to see the outfits really.

I watched the wedding, thought it was lovely, Windsor is such a lovely setting. We live about half an hour from there but don't go very often.

Oma - glad everything was ok - even if it was a bit uncomfortable. Ouch!!!

Mimi - I'm with Gem - I love Fawlty Towers and can still sit down and watch all 12 episodes, wishing there'd been many more. What could possibly go wrong with an evening like that!

Nanto - I'm sure your in laws will miss you, but hopefully the rest of the family will pitch in and help them. You want to enjoy your special holiday without worrying about things.

The only bananas I've shifted today are a small bunch from Sainsbury's!! I have to confess OH did carry the large pots, but I tidied up straggly roots from under them and nestled them cosily in the greenhouse.

Qwerty - I hadn't thought about anaemia or anything like that. I usually try to make sure I've had enough iron-rich foods but maybe I've been a bit lax just lately - and we have been very busy. I'd like a few more days away in the caravan if possible! As you say, it makes a huge difference if you're not doing school pick ups etc! How did the smoking clinic go?

Plant - I think Nana was talking about a holiday, but I'm not sure. I do hope she's ok. Windsor is stunning - I've only been there a few times but love it.

We finally did go shopping today! It was far too nice though - I could have done with a walk along the seafront instead. It was quite windy, but also warm, and made me feel I was on holiday somewhere in the Mediterranean. It's gone a bit colder now and the wind's got up. Still, I treasure the odd few hours of nice weather at this time of the year. We also went to the garden centre for horticultural grit so I can finish off planting the rockery, but couldn't find the plants I wanted for it.

OH is out for the evening, so I don't have to cook properly - mushrooms on toast for me!

Good morning everyone.

We've had rain overnight and it's a bit damp, but not windy. Clover - I do hope you're ok. No walking on the headland today. It also looked rather wet and windy for Libra's first day in her new home and for Aggie. Stay safe, all of you.

For once, we've got no particular plans - I could catch up with the ironing but only if I get really bored. But we have a really busy 2 weeks coming up so I might just give myself a day off!
