I have Netflix but don't seem to use it, must have a good look to see.

Daisy, so pleased you are happy with your new floor, hope the toilet gets fixed soon. Now no carrying that bedroom furniture.

Enjoy the Christmas lights switching on Qwerty.

Grauntie, you are excused Word Pals whilst your visitors are there.

Sounds like you all had a productive day. I got a super card for DD2 + numbers to go on it. Thanks for asking Daisy.

Tonight I spent 3hrs+ choosing a collection day/time slot for the party food & the food itself. When I came to payment (a deposit & remainder on collection) the blasted checkout didn't work. Emailed them & the response was that they'll get back to me in the next 3-4 days. Looks like I'll be going to the supermarket early tomoro/today.😉

Good morning all.Its still dark here and as I am tucked up in bed I haven’t got a clue what it is like outside but it doesn’t feel as cold as the past few days.

Daisy having the loo on the landing is a new twist on rearranging the furniture 😆😉. What colour flooring did you choose?

Oma we don’t have Netflix, we have Sky. DS has Netflix and between us we have noticed some films I want to watch are on Netflix but not on Sky and it’s the reverse for him. To have access to every new release you would have to subscribe to Netflix,Sky and Amazon Prime. It would cost a small fortune each month.

Qwerty good to hear that OH is doing well with the stop smoking malarkey.

Nana I wonder if you couldn’t check out because of ‘Black Friday ‘ . I know my internet was slow when I was browsing yesterday and I heard on the news that several online sites kept crashing.
I had an email from an online garden and plant store that I buy from regularly, they didn’t have ‘Black Friday ‘ , they had ‘Green Friday ‘

        Have a good day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

            Good morning, Nanto and Mimi.

Nana looking at the timing of your last post I don't know whether to say 'good morning' or good night'. I hope you got some sleep. I bet it was the Black Friday effect on the website. Is it possible to try again this morning?

It's quite mild this morning, but very damp, and still nearly dark. Don't rush to get up, Mimi!!

Nanto - enjoy your shopping for decorations.

We've got an outdoor dog training session at lunch-time. Apart from that I'm going to try to sort out drawers as we move bedroom furniture out ready for Monday. Goodness knows how long it will be before the loo is back in place - we're waiting for new panels to fit round it and OH has to take the old, cracked basin out before the plumber comes to refit the loo and the new basin. I hope it's all done before the decorators start on the hall, stairs and landing in a couple of weeks.

            Have a good Saturday, everyone.

Im in here early you see I can do it if I try, eldest coming after swimming lessons about 1ish for a sleepover and of course big switch on, Dil has gone down with the dreaded lurgy don’t think I can manage 3 children it’s usually heaving in the high street you literally have to push through the crowds , I can’t do that with 2 four year olds and need to keep my eye on the 8 yr old as well, OH isn’t keen to come it does get very cold, but he will if I’m struggling or maybe their daddy will show up 😬
Pretty graphic Nanto enjoy your shopping trip

                Good morning everyone.

We too have Netflix, but don't use it enough. I fancy seeing that film Oma.
                Happy dog training Daisy.
I hope you and GD enjoy the lights switching on Qwerty.
Speaking of Black Friday, DD2 was in London for work yesterday. She said Piccadilly Circus looked as if ration books had been introduced!

A good night last night, 3 trophies for OH at the golf presentation. I was very proud
Today we are out with friends. Meeting in town for lunch, then going to Chocolate Story, a museum none of us have been to, A bit of shopping, then an early meal at 6. All good, except OH's hip pinged again last night, so I don't know that we will doing much walking about!

Have a good day, one and all

Qwerty, our posts clashed. I wouldn't take the twins tonight unless their dad comes. Three children including two such young one will be a nightmare.
DD and her friend took two 9 year old and two 11 year olds into York for the light switching on last week. It was so crowded they moved round the corner until the actual switch on as the 9 year olds were getting squashed by the crowds. DD said it was quite scary.

Not trying to put you off Qwerty, but in my opinion crowds and dark and 3 children needs a lot more than one adult!

Good morning all. Two days running I haven’t woken up until 9.30! Dull and rainy here and after lunch I am going to my first Knit and Natter at the library. I am finishing off another blanket for DD and only have the border to do so that will be easy.

Its been a tough week but we had a nice evening on Thursday when our friends invited us round for a meal. We went early and played cards and board games then enjoyed the meal, it did us both the world of good. We also had a lovely M & S hamper delivered from DS in Australia, lots of goodies inside to enjoy.

DGS popped in in his way home yesterday, He is really enjoying his new job and looked so happy. He said they seem really pleased with him and what he is doing and everyone is friendly, so pleased things are going well for him.

Qwerty, it sounds like your evening out tonight could be hard on your own with 3 little ones. You’d need eyes in the back of your head I should imagine, I’d think twice about it if no one can go with you.

Have a good day everyone. 🌞

Good morning ladies , been to the Deli this morning then a nice unexpected visit from BIL & SIL , they stayed a hour , wanted them to stay for lunch but they had other plans ,
Mimi we don't have Netflix as such what we do have is a huge Dish that picks up hundreds of channels and sometimes Netflix is one of them

Qwerty that's a hand full on your own good luck
Enfys sounds just what you needed .

We moved the chickens this morning- not an easy job it involves moving their run/henhouse to a new area, taking down the electric fence then erecting it again without losing any of the hens! They are busy pecking away on their winter home. It will mean the grass can grow back on the area they have just left. We have an acre so they have plenty of space in their enclosure. We have the two eldest gs overnight tonight and they are having fish and chips for dinner as a treat. The wood burning stove is alight and it’s nice and cosy. I’m sure we’ll have an early start tomorrow morning!

Hope Qwerty doped OK with all the grandchildren,at the light switching on.
Iv'e got a feeling J might have changed his mind, and gone with them.

Raining now,but we did have sunshine while we were in town.
Haven't seen the sun for almost a week.

Bought some decorations in Wilko along with some other items.
                            When i got home,i noticed i had been charged for a dozen 1st class stamps,that i didn't buy.
I had bought some 2nd class stamps though.
Anyway, rang them and the lady has made a not of it,and told me they will refund me,next time i'm in there.

Qwerty - I'm sure by now those lights have been switched on. I do hope you either had help or didn't go - as everyone has said three children in the dark with crowds of people would be really hard.

Avo - I have this lovely picture of you herding the hens and trying to round them up while putting the electric fence in its new place. I hope they're all warm and tucked up now and safe from Mr Fox. I would have loved to have hens, but the one time we had a big enough garden I didn't have time to look after them. I bet the boys enjoyed their fish and chips.

Oma, how lovely, having an unexpected visit from your BIL and SIL.

Enfys - did you get your blanket finished at Knit and Natter - or was there too much nattering. The evening with your friends sounds just what you both need, as well as the hamper from your DS in Australia. I'm sure you're in his thoughts all the time. A big 'well done' to your GS1 for settling down so well in his new job.

Nanto - what kind of decorations did you get?

It's been dull and dreary here all day, with rain on and off. It was pouring down on the way to dog training, but it stopped as we got there - and then started again just as we left. Eva was very good. She's been struggling with this activity since some louts invaded the all weather court we use and terrified her. But today OH came with me and we walked her between the two of us which seemed to give her more confidence. But two hours of steady walking wore us out - we got home, made a cuppa and lit the wood burner.

Sorry I haven't reported in until now, although I did read some posts earlier.Sat is usually a family day with next door and today was no exception. I didn't wake up until 10.40, had to do a lot of coughing to clear my chest. DD, Sil took his mother to JL, GD1 was off riding, we all met for lunch later, then came back and watched rugby, GS1, his wife and my GGS arrived, after they left, bubbly was opened in time for Strictly. so here I am trying to catch up on your posts.

Qwerty I do hope other arrangement were made for the trip to see the lights.

Well done your OH Gemini, she does very well, hope her hip is okay.

That evening with friends must have been enjoyable Enfys.
