Enjoy your theatre trip Gemini, it is nice not to always be the organiser.

Lovely and sunny here after a frosty start, I am going to pop out to get a replacement spot light and a fluorescent tube for the kitchen and some salt blocks for the softener, exciting!

What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Eldest arriving early pm as mum wants to shop for something for OH birthday on Thursday ,we are going to another museum in Wakefield tomorrow by bus parking isnโ€™t easy otherwise , she will enjoy this as she loves museums

Good morning all. Its cold but sunny here.

I have just spoken to DD apparently its half term here ( England) but its half term where she is (Wales) next week. She was telling me about GS (8) .Every year they have to present something about Eisteddfod in Welsh, He usually makes a model but this year he wants to present his project via a YouTube link, how times have changed ! He has spoken about doing you tube videos several times but she is very aware of the nasty comments that some people leave and she doesn't want to subject him to that. She knows that you can upload videos and set it that no one can leave comments but eventually as he gets older he will want to take control of it .
t was easier to protect young children when ours were little wasn't it .

Gem enjoy your trip at the theatre, I love Grease I have seen it on stage albeit an amateur production but it was very good.

Hope B's appointment goes well Oma

            Have a good day everyone

Good morning. Shhhh ... I've crept upstairs for a couple of minutes to say 'hello'. GD2 is tending her sick dolly, GD1 is having her screen time and Cooper hasn't noticed I've come up here - yet!!!

Gem - I love Grease. Enjoy yourself. I agree it's lovely to have things organised for you.

Qwerty - you are a busy Grandma, but it's great to get out and about with the GCs, even if they need a bit of a carry sometimes.

Oma - good luck to B for the Dental appointment. My OH has been and had his wobbly tooth removed and the dentist gave it to him in a 'Tooth Fairy' envelope. I've heard him asking GD1 what the going rate is for the tooth fairy. He started at ยฃ50!

Nanto - you've earned that coffee this morning.

Plant - enjoy your exciting shopping. It's sunny here now after a very cold and frosty start.

Grauntie - how did the jewellery making go?

Nana - enjoy your day out.

Qwerty, have you ever taken the children to Eureka, in Halifax?
It's a fabulous children's museum, all geared to ages 10 and under. The train station is across the road, so no need to drive either.
Mimi, this production of Grease is an amateur one, which I didn't realise when I agreed to go. Hopefully it will be good! I think ยฃ30.50 is expensive for an amateur production though

Gem - I'm sure it will be a good production. Some amateur groups these days are hard to tell from professional ones. And it's a night out you havne't had to organise, so you can relax and go with the flow. xx

It sounds as tho you're all busy again.

Gem did you want another Gran to organise the meet up this year if you're tiring of it? I have to excuse myself tho as I wouldn't be physically able. Sorry. I picked up on you wanting a rest from being the organiser in York when we spoke about possible venues for this year's GRU meet.

Everything packed for our seaside trip today & 5mins before we set off to get GS mummy txt to say he didn't want to go but wanted the day chilling with us. So....packed lunches at home. He needed it tho as he looked very tired. Taking him to YWP tomoro & meeting other DD2 & GS2 there. I may need oxygen by Friday.๐Ÿคค๐Ÿ˜‚

Nana,at least you got to spend the day with GS.

Had a bit of rain, but it's stopped now.
Just the usual kind of day for us.
                        First job for me, ironing.

                          Good morning, Nanto and everyone.

Mimi - sorry I missed your comment about your 8 year old GS wanting to do a You Tube video. I'm sure if he enjoys doing the video he will want to do more, but his mum is on the ball about safety and no comments. Doing one video may satisfy his curiosity and he won't want to do any more, so comments won't be an issue. On the other hand for a lot of youngsters You Tube is a 'go to' resource for information. So they will see adverse comments about other people's videos. On the plus side, our GS1 has learned most of his electronics skills via You Tube. Good luck with his project whatever he does.

Qwerty and Nana - I think sometimes our young GCs are so busy they just need a day 'doing nothing'. Picnics at home are good fun.

Oma - how did B get on at the dental hospital? I'm afraid the tooth fairy failed last night! The little packet is still in the kitchen.

I'm having a morning recovering from two very hectic days, but tonight we're off out - on a tour of a local brewery!!

                          Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Nan2, and the rest!

A wet night here, but the rain has stopped now.
Nana, no I am happy to arrange the annual meet up for GRU. Others have always helped. Plant booking tickets for things, Qwerty taking charge of meal bookings, and others doing things. We book our own hotel rooms and I only book the train for those I travel with. It's not all down to me by any means.
I just meant that in all walks of life, with all groups of friends I am usually (although not always) the instigating force. Last night was a nice change

Oma, have you heard how GS is enjoying his trip?

Grease was really good! This amateur company is the really well established one and they have the Theatre Royal for the first 2 weeks of the season every year.
Today we are having a day out! With OH's 3 closest golfing friends. We are going to Burton Agnes Hall to see the snowdrops and walk in the woods etc. Lunch with be taken in the tea rooms of course! Unfortunately while yesterday as a lovely sunny day and today is cloudy and set to be all day. Never mind, I'm happy to be going out!

                            Have a good day everyone.

I bet your GS enjoyed his day chilling out with you Nana.

WI for me this morning, it is a social, no speaker. I think we are going to play Beetle, B&B etc. I tried to get a neighbour friend interested as she says she doesn't get out much but no luck, she called off yesterday, shame because they are a lovely friendly crowd.

                                Good morning.

Daisy, years ago we went on a brewery tour. I can still smell the hops. I hope you enjoy yours tonight. It is something different after all.

Gem your day out sounds lovely.Carpets of snowdrops are beautiful.

An ordinary day for me again.I love days out but they are few and far between for me these days Usually my outings are medical ones- not my idea of fun.
Off now to strip the bed ,make a cake and dust off the sucky up thing. Such joy!!

                                Have a good day all.
