    Good moaning each.
It’s been a busy old week! Today we are going to Stansted to collect friends who are staying with us for a few days, so my house is clean and tidy for once. Will pop in when I can.
    Have a good weekend all.

Good morning all. Its dull and cold here at the moment. When I woke this morning it was really dark even though it was almost 8!

Gem you never moan, you might voice a concern or opinion but moan never.

Don't have a lot planned for today, just waiting for Tesco online delivery to arrive.

        Have a good day everyone

Hello everyone. It's a bit milder here, but very dull and the air is damp.

I'm sorry I don't seem to be quite keeping up with everyone at the moment, so please forgive me - I'm not ignoring you!!

Today is the first day I've been at home this week - it's been a groundhog week - just like last week!

Gem, I hope you feel better today, but I know how frustrating things must be when your mum does her 'thing'. I hope she's happy with the gas fire when it comes. What a pity you miss out on a lunch, but if I was closer I'd offer to join the other GRU ladies instead!!! Has OH got any trophies to collect at the dinner tonight?

Oma - I hope that accident was only vehicles and not people.

Grauntie - how lovely, a spick and span house! Enjoy seeing your friends. xx

Sunshine - did you enjoy your spa day?

You are all making me feel I should start to think about Christmas shopping!!!!!! I have asked what the GCs would like, so I've made a start. Nobody's come back to me yet, though!

I'm getting washing done today, and possibly, but only possibly, some activity for the hot hissy thing - it's feeling very neglected.

Eva is in the dog house. It's bin day today, and she always goes out with OH to put the rubbish bags on the pavement for collection, and then nicely follows him back in. Today she shot out at top speed, skidding to a halt in front of a little dog with its owners, wanting to play. The little dog was very indignant and snarled and snapped at her, and of course OH called her back and apologised to the little dog's owners. They were fine about it, and Eva didn't actually respond to the snarling, but every time we think she might be getting a bit more trustworthy round other dogs she lets herself down.

Our big job this week-end is moving everything out of our bedroom, ready for the new flooring to go down on Monday/Tuesday. I'm looking forward to getting it done, but not all the heaving about of furniture that goes with it!

Oma I wish that I could follow your long sleep. I dropped off at 5am this morning. You must have been well & truly exhausted to have slept that long. I bet you felt the benefit.

My DD2 is 40 this coming week so I'm popping into town in a bit to try to find her a card. I'd like one with Daughter & 40 on the front but not sure if they do them. She's away with her family on Monday - Saturday so I need to get a move on.

Dull looking day today. Hope everyone's ok.

Afternoon all OH has gone to smoking clinic so having 5 mins to myself. It’s xmas light switch on tomorrow but not sure if the twins and mummy are coming we’ve gone for the last 8 yrs with eldest who is coming and sleeping over Dd still coughting badly , J is back at school it’s Chinese New Year for them today so they have taken spring rolls lol, but not sure they will cope with the evening chill in the village OH doesn’t want to go so it could be just me and her lady ship , looks like mulled wine and a hotdog for tea as lights are switched on 5 pm, and a bag of chips on the way home
Daisy I bet the floor looks fab , would love one in the bedroom , it will great when it’s done . Do you think he saw the dog and rushed out to meet him, usually other people with dogs understand other dogs and they’re antics
Gem you do well keeping your patience with mum as much as we love them well maybe leave me out of the equation we could throttle them sometimes lol
GM enjoy your company visiting I’m sure you are a wonderful host

Miserable day here weatherwise. Not as cold as yesterday though.

Hubby and his pal suffering from cabin fever,so they have to garden centre for a browse.

Qwerty, enjoy the light switching on tomorrow.

Qwerty - well done to your OH for persevering with the smoking clinic. I'm really pleased with the new floor, and I hope the bedroom one looks as good. I'll take photos when it's finished. We're now waiting for the plumber to come and reconnect the loo - it's currently sitting on the landing (well wrapped up, I assure you!) I think Eva could smell the other dog - she couldn't see it, but she air scents for England! I agree you should stop drinking red wine in the morning and hitting the gin bottle in the afternoon. You'd be much better switching them round - gin first thing with your cornflakes (who likes milk on cornflakes, anyway) and saving the red wine for the afternoon.

Nana - did you find a card for your DD's birthday?

Nanto - did your OH come back from the Garden Centre with more Christmas decorations?

I did a few loads of washing today and then - I hope you are sitting down for this - waved the hot hissy thing around for a couple of hours. There's still a basket full of ironing to be done, but it's one singular basket now!

Oma - how lovely to have Netflix. It sounds like a good, light hearted film.
