Plant, that is awful, I'm so sorry to hear you've been scammed. Scammers are getting so devious and clever that I think we can all expect something to go wrong at some point. I do hope the bank have sorted things out for you.

Plant, that is awful. So easy for it to happen. I hope it has been sorted out now.

Little E and I have had a lovely play, he has had a snack and used his potty ( first time at our house!) He is having his nap now.

We got to the hospital this morning to be told OH wasn't on the list
To cut a long story short, her appointment is for a months time! For some reason OH thought, and told me, that it was for the Thursday we returned from holiday. I had no reason to check the letter!
OH feels very silly, but these things happen. We just feel a bit bad for SIL3 who took a morning off work for no reason. He was very sweet about it
We got off the bus in the centre of the village and went for a coffee and snack before going home.
So, back we go to the hospital in a months time.

Gemini, these things happen, shame it is a bit longer to wait.

Bank sorted the scam problem. I have had a demonstration of a new bed, slightly smaller and a motorised one. I am hoping it will sort out my back problems. I have a recliner chair on order so fingers crossed.

Oh Gem, we have all done it but when you want it over and done with and you have worked yourselves up to it, it's deflating isn't it.
You need to treat yourselves to a nice meal out or a day out lv.
Well done E using his potty at yours clever boy,
Finley is obsessed with the toilet , no matter where they are he has to go,
Once he came out of nappies he wants to please everyone by showing them he is a big boy now 😁

            Plant
So pleased you got the bank sorted, such a worry,

We have a single motorised profile bed that B uses when he's having problems they are really good so are recliner chairs , fingers crossed you find them useful.

MIL was in a sulky mood , complained about having to go shopping yesterday,
I put a stop to it by telling her from now on we are taking her shopping on a Thursday as we are going anyway and it's too much for his sister pushing the wheelchair with a trolly on the front. Plus she has to come all the way from Newcastle a 40 minute drive.
If we take her I can push the wheelchair and B can push the shopping trolly.
She was a bit surprised I was so sharp with her but didn't retaliate.

I had to phone the Drs as I have oral thrush again, he's sending a prescription to our pharmacy I should get it tomorrow.

Gem, it's easily done. Especially when you're dealing with a major holiday as well. My first appointment was cancelled by the hospital with 2 hours' notice. I was just glad we hadn't actually left for the hospital. I then had to wait for a month, but time passes and you just get on with normal activities. Well done to little E - what a big boy he's getting and I bet he was so pleased and proud using his potty at your house.

Oma, it makes far more sense for you and B to take MIL shopping on a Thursday. Well done for handling the situation and I think she knows when she's being unreasonable. Poor you, oral thrush sounds very unpleasant. Do you think your immune system is a bit low after that awful cough?

Plant, thank goodness the bank has sorted out the scam problem. The new bed sounds a very good idea, and hopefully will be more comfortable.

Plant, pleased you got the scam sorted.
Hope the new bed will help your back.

Gem,its easy to get the wrong day with appointments.

Asda arrived a bit late and hairdresser came early.
Yes,you guessed it,they both arrived at the same time.
Luckily, hubby was here and sorted the delivery, while i had my hair cut.

I made four cottage pies,we ate one for dinner with carrots and green beans.
The other three are in the freezer.

I think it is as I'm tired all the time as well, I'm trying to get as much vit D into myself and eating lots of greens for iron.
DD sent these photos of Storm edited using a app how stunning are they .

Oma, wow, Storm is such a handsome boy, and the photos are great. Your DD must be thrilled with them. Have you told the doctor about your tiredness? I wonder if you're a bit anaemic.

Nanto, isn't that typical - one late and one early. It's happened to us once or twice and I end up just shoving things in the fridge and sorting it out later. Today our delivery arrived over an hour early - they did text and ask if it was ok to deliver - and we were just finishing a late lunch. It took ages to sort the fridge out later on.

I've had another day of not achieving much! OH is off on his week-end jolly in the morning, but he's given the garden a good watering tonight. Ill just have to do the pots while he's away. At least the weather forecast looks good for where he's going. I'm sure the car will leak if it rains. I'll try and take some photos before they leave in the morning.

                    Sleep well, everyone. xx

                      Good morning .
We have had a bit of rain during the night.

                      Oma, lovely photos of Storm.

Daisy, hope OH has a good weekend.
                      Hoping the car doesn't leak.

Hubby out later for his Friday meet up with his pal.

I want to get the porch and back and front doors cleaned this morning.

Not sure what we are having for dinner, I fancy some bacon.

                        Morning Nanto,Ladies

                        Nanto
I have just done a blitz downstairs get it out of the way.
I like Bacon , love a bacon sandwich but I don't have them often.
MIl has bacon sandwich every lunch time , she's done that for years.

Waiting for Storm to arrive , just put his bed and toys out and filled his water bowl ,
First thing he will do is look for his treats😁

                        Daisy
Don't do too much while J is away nothing will spoil I'm sure.
I haven't been to Drs I think it's the remains of the last throat and chest infection,
I didn't cough once last night or yesterday so I'm hoping it's finally gone 😁

                          Good morning everyone.

I think it rained here during the night too Nan2. It's a bit dull this morning. I have a wash load of towels in so hoping for no more rain today!

All ready for Storm Oma, he's a lucky boy

Daisy take it easy whilst your OH is away and don't do much! I wish I was near enough to bring you a meal

We had a nice meal and catch up with our friends last night.
It was only two weeks since we had seen little E but his vocabulary is coming on in leaps and bounds!

Away golf day for OH and they are calling in somewhere for fish and chips on the way back. I may make myself salmon tonight. Alternatively I could eat with GS2 and the salmon will keep until tomorrow.
GS2 from school this afternoon, no other plans. I am either starting a cold or its hay fever. It started to come on yesterday afternoon. The two children behind us on the plane on Saturday were coughing so I hope I haven't caught anything!

                          Have a good Friday ladies.

                            Good Friday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I think we had some rain as well, but it's sunny now. OH and neighbour have driven off with the top down on the car, so it will definitely leak if it rains!! Bacon always smells good.

Oma, Storm is such a lucky boy with all your delicious treats and lunch. Fingers crossed that that is the end of your cough. Are you still feeling tired?

Gem, thank you for thinking about feeding me. I've got a chicken casserole for tonight, and tomorrow my lovely neighbour has invited me round for a meal. There's plenty of salad stuff in the fridge so I'll do that on Sunday and OH will be back sometime on Monday. Isn't it exciting when little ones' vocabulary suddenly explodes. I love listening to them. I'm glad OH has a lovely day planned, and enjoys it. I do hope you're not starting a cold. There's no escape on a plane if someone near you is coughing and sneezing, and you know the air is being circulated over and over again. Can you take something to boost your immune system a bit, just in case?

OH and neighbour left just after 9 am, and were back 5 minutes later as our neighbour thought he'd dropped his insulin pen in our kitchen. He hadn't and found it on the floor of the car - it has slipped out of his pocket. So off they went, taking it in turns to drive. I think it will take them about 3 hours, but you never can tell with the traffic. I post a phot of them setting off in a minute. They spent a lot of time this week polishing the car, and I must say it was worth it - it looked very good.

I'm having a lazy day, I've decided. I've put a load of washing in and may hoover upstairs but that is all!

OH and neighbour leaving this morning. They tossed to be the first driver and neighbour won.

Plant, you were asking about the car. The kit is a Spartan, and is on a Cortina body, so it's classed as a rebodied Cortina, and is fully road legal. OH put it through an MOT, even though it's so old it doesn't need one. He just wanted to make sure it was safe.
