Lizzie, glad you have got a doctors appointment.

Gem, lovely to hear the boys enjoyed the library.

Speaking of spills,i knocked the oil dispenser onto the floor today, and the top came off.
    Took some clearing up.
I blame Oma, she started it with her blackcurrant drink.
Oil spill happened before i knew about B's milk accident.
I used the same word as B had used.

Lovely sunshine today. Was sunny all morning and due to last all afternoon.

      Oh dear Nan2!!

You may remember me saying DD1 and friends postponed their cinema night out due to the DD of one of the friends being in A&E?
Well, she was sent home with UTI diagnosed. The following day her appendix burst. Her blood wasn't clotting so they couldn't operate and she was transferred from York hospital to Sheffield under blue lights. It was touch and go but I think she is going to be OK. She's a healthy teenager and it all happened so quickly.

Oh Gem, hope she is going to be ok.
Not much difference between a UTI and appendicitis says she sarcastically.

          Oh how scary Gem,
I'm so pleased she seems to be ok but I suppose it will be a long hill to climb before she's fully recovered.

          Nanto
          That's what I thought
Oh knocking the oil burner over must have made a mess .

We are just back from having tea out with GS & Lucie,
          It was really good ,
We have been to this place before but it's changed hands and a new chef so we were not sure how it would be.
We were pleased to find it was excellent.

Oma, what a mess with all that milk. I think it's one of the worst things to spill, because if you miss any it will smell horrible very quickly! But look on the bright side. Next time you think you ought to clean under the fridge remember that you did it when the milk spilt. . You deserved a nice tea out tonight after all that.

Plant, I hope the sun stayed out while you went to the shops. It's such a pleasure to see it after weeks of heavy cloud, and I'm sure it made you feel better.

I didn't do the windows, but by the time I'd prepped dog food, cooked liver treats for her and cleared up it was time for dinner. I had some phone calls to make this afternoon, and took Eva out about quarter to five. I went out onto the moor and the sun was setting - beautiful, and it seems a long time since I'd watched a sunset. We got home about 5.30 and it was still quite light.

Gem, I'm pleased GS1 came to the library with you. Did it help having GS2 as well? No doubt the cake in the cafe afterwards put a smile on both their faces. Good to hear the kittens are in such great spirits.

Lizzie, what a lovely day with your GD1 - she sounds really good company. Mmmm, can't imagine where her taste for plain nails comes from. She and her friends certainly got their step counts in at the theme park. The cafe sounds lovely and I bet there's a great atmosphere there. GD1's work experience in a Portuguese school will be very interesting I should think. I'm sure she will manage to bridge the language divide. That will be very good for her and for the children. Good luck at the doctor's in the morning - I hope you can get something to ease the shingles.

Nanto, oh no! Oil is probably even more of a pain to clear up than blackcurrent drink or milk. You were very good though - I'm sure I'd have come out with a much worse swear word.

Gem, poor girl (and her mum). I do hope she is ok. Hopefully being young and probably quite fit, she will get better quickly, but what a shock for her family.

I remember many years ago visiting OH's sister and family in Seattle. We were all going out on the Sunday for a day in Mount Rainier National Park, but on the way there D, who was about 11 at the time, started to feel poorly with abdominal pain. Her dad (who was a doctor) was really worried in case it was appendicitis. He said it can be a difficult thing to diagnose and we went back home and he took her to hospital. It wasn't appendicitis, as it happened, but he said how quickly it can get worse and rupture. It was definitely better not to be half way up a mountain. So I can understand why this poor girl was misdiagnosed at first.

              Good morning.

Oma, it wasn't the oil burner, it was cooking oil I spilt.
Glad you had a nice tea out with GS and Lucy.

No plans here, we'll take the day as it comes.

Beef stew and dumplings for dinner today.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

Daisy nights getting lighter and lovely. You will notice with your evening Eva walks.

Oma, a successful meal, you will probably go there again then!

Aqua this morning. I have my monthly massage this afternoon. Later than my usual time, so I hope I don't hit the busy traffic for my drive home.

                  Morning ladies

                  Nanto

I have to go to our pharmacy today they delivered our Meds yesterday and my testing strips but they delivered the old ones , so will have to go up and explain and get the right ones.

                    Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, we've just had a pretty sunrise, so let's hope Spring is in the air as well as your cheery graphic. Enjoy your day as it comes, and beef stew with dumplings sounds perfect. How do you make your dumplings?

Gem, hopefully a nice day for you with aqua and your massage. Like Oma, I've been wondering how your knee is doing.

Oma, that was an early delivery for your new washing machine. Has B plumbed it in or did the deliivery people do it? I hope the pharmacy have got the right testing strips in for you.

I hope everyone sees some sunshine today - it certainly lifts the spirits.

It's usual Wednesday dog training for me and Eva. OH is planing to get some thing to dig in round part of our fence where the wood has splintered at the bottom. We want to get that repaired before we carry on with planting up our little memory garden for DS1. There are a lot of jobs to do in the garden, but we'll tackle them when the weather improves a bit.

Good morning, I have been to the doctor, she was very thorough! It isn't usual for shingels to return in such a short time, especially with the medicine I had. I was there almost 45 minutes, she did all she could, even phoned a specialist but they change duty at 8-30am, she didn't want to bother them and will phone them later then let me know, it is feeling less painful that yesterday, but, it is still there.

It is still very cold, I hope they are right with the forecast, 17 degrees on Friday, they maybe mean on my balcony!

B has plumbed it in and it's got the first load in ,
It will be going all day as I have lots of washing piled up.

The pharmacy is sorting my strips out he said it will take a couple of days.

                        Lizzie
Hopefully the specialist can shed some light on what to do about the shingles

I don't think it's as cold as yesterday hopefully it gets better as the week progresses.

Oma, you are giving the new washing machine a good test. I hope they can sort those tablets out soon for you.

Daisy, your walks will be more enjoyable with the lighter evenings.

Would you believe I've had to have the plumber out,
The toilet wouldn't flush in the bathroom then it started to constantly run ,
He came very quick and it was the flush mechanism had broke,
                            A quick job thankfully,
                            What else can happen

Plant it's my blood testing strips that are being a problem.

All the washing done and dried ,
It was a lot of towels and tea towels plus Bs jumpers
They took the bulk of the washing up.

Lizzie, poor you having to suffer shingles again.

Oma, you will be giving that new washing machine a test catching up with the washing.

Too much split oil and milk going on Nanto and Oma.

I have been out all day, Meeting of WI friends at a church cafe for coffee and lunch this morning and games this afternoon. Time to settle down, I need to get warm, village hall heating not very good, well they need to turn it up.

Oma, that's it now. Everything will run smoothly from now on! 🤞

Daisy the weather just hasn't been good enough for much gardening has it?

Lizzie let's hope as it's less painful than yesterday it's on the way out.

I had my aqua class, coffee with friends then home for shower and lunch. I am back from my massage now. I needed it as a lot of the muscles were really tight. I knew I needed it and was looking forward to it.

Oma and Daisy, my 'good' knee doesn't bother me too much. My hip and back don't bother me if I have a totally sedentary lifestyle! That's not the life I want and it would only create its own problems. I'm fairly active for around half the week and need to be - or I may seize up completely!
