    Morning Nanto,Ladies

Quite overcast and drizzling but stuffy,

    Nanto
I wanted to hoover my grass but it's too damp and windy at the moment.

    Daisy
Glad to hear the boys are better but the cough lingers, mine has finally subsided but I still get a fit of coughing during the night.

I used to love doing the tomato plants when we had a greenhouse, I loved the smell they had.

    Gem
I hope you both slept better ,
I'm sure kitty's will forgive you, DDs old cat used to sit with her back to them for at least a day, and wouldn't let DD touch her 😁

    Lizzie
Did your DS & DIL get home safely?
    No delays I hope.
What a carry on with the fuses, at least the charger blew the fuse rather than blow up,
Those compression socks are not easy to get on at the best of times ,
My friend Dorothy has had to endure having her legs wrapped this week in all this heat.
She hasn't been out just sitting indoors with the fan going to keep her legs cool.
    I do feel for you.

    Plant
How are you today, when are DD & SIL going away?
Did your lovely gardener come back?

We need to pop to Lidl this morning then into B& M but nothing else planned .

      Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, the weather has definitely changed. We had a shower about an hour ago, but it's just dull and cloudy now, and much cooler. Definitely a day for sausage and mash!

For some strange reason I keep thinking it's Saturday. No idea why. No particular plans for me today. I'll go with the flow. We've got our neighbour's dog this morning. "Mum" is away at their son's, and "Dad" is playing golf this morning, so Missey and Eva are enjoying their play date. They get on very well.

OH has the dentist and hygienist this morning. He's gone in the kit car, so I think the talk will be more about cars than teeth! There is a rally this coming week-end in Shropshire for this make of kit car so OH and our neighbour are going up there on Friday, and back on Monday. That's the plan. Fingers crossed the car co-operates. It will be the longest journey it's done, and will be "interesting"!!

        Morning everyone.

No rain here yet Nan2 but it's due later.

Those coughs really hang on don't they Oma!

Daisy I hope your DIL enjoyed her holiday despite the concern she must have felt over her DS being unwell.

We have our normal Tuesday routines today. Library for me , golf for OH. I don't feel totally 'with it' so who knows how shelving will go
Apart from shopping for fruit, veg and yogurt on the way back I am doing nothing today.
Rain is forecast so the main washing will wait until tomorrow. I will get all the underwear done today.
        The cats have forgiven us.

I will catch up here this afternoon

Oma, our posts crossed. There's definitely a change in the weather! Your cough has taken a long time to clear up, and hopefully it doesn't disturb you too much in the night. I hope you get what you wanted at the shops. Enjoy a lazy day for once.

Gem, and our posts crossed as well! Did you sleep ok last night? It takes a few days to get over jet lag, I know, but hoopefully the library books will end up on the right shelves! The washing will wait, and I hope the golf will help take OH's mind off Thursday. xx

Oma, I haven't compression socks but tights and sleeves to cope with!

I forgot to say, when we went to M&S yesterday, went to get fruit and guess what they had in , Gooseberry's 😯
Searched high and low for them , bought them at the Polish deli and then find them in M&S,
              Sods law isn't it 😁

Lizzie, I know the tights and sleeves are a nightmare for you in the hot weather.

I didn't sleep too badly last night Daisy. It always takes me three to four days to get over jet lag travelling from the west.

I managed quite well, at the library, I surprised myself! I was very ready to leave at the end of two hours though and needed the sit down and coffee break with the librarian.
I had planned to drive to Tesco (only a couple of miles) to do our shopping. However I had forgotten I needed petrol. The drive, going round the big store and filling with petrol seemed too much for me. So I just went to Sainsburys' in the village. I will get petrol after aquafit tomorrow.

Golf club Lady Captain's Dinner tonight which OH will go to. I bought myself a chicken Chow Mein for tea, so I can just bung it in the oven

Plant, poor you. That's a horrible feeling, so I hope you're ok tomorrow. Take care and rest. Sending hugs. xxx

Gem, well done on both getting some sleep and coping so well at the library. But no wonder you didn't feel like trekking round a big Tesco, plus doing battle with a petrol pump after the library. It's good you haven't got to cook, and I hope OH enjoys the dinner at the golf club this evening.

Oma, someone was bound to have gooseberries after you'd gone out of your way to get them from the Polish deli. Did you stock up on some more?

Lizzie, I can't imagine how hard it must be to wear those compression tights and sleeves in hot weather. No wonder you don't feel up to going to your aqua classes. I think you cope very well though, and keeping so active must help.

I don't seem to have done much today. I sat down for a while after breakfast and Missey jumped on my lap and went to sleep. Well I couldn't disturb her could I! She went back home at lunch time. The weather was still dull and windy, so I decided to read my book instead of going in the garden. Then I tried to move an inconvenient blood test to our local hospital. Two hours later, I'd booked the local one, but was unable to cancel the non-local one. You have to book before cancelling. The system had changed from when I did the same thing last month, and didn't give me the option I needed.

OH has cooked dinner, so I'd better go - fish cakes, air fryer chips and veggies.

Plant, hope you feel better tomorrow.

Daisy, that will be real test for the kit car this weekend.

I didn't get the grass cut this morning,we kept having short showers.
Seeing as there wasn't much sun this morning, i cleaned all the windows inside.
Hopefully i'll get the grass cut tomorrow.

Take care and get plenty of rest .

Hopefully the weather is good for J this weekend ,
Missey must have been comfy so of course you couldn't move 😁

                          Gem
I'm pleased you managed the library and I agree going to Tesco and filling up is too much when you have just come home.
Good to hear S has gone to her golf dinner , a bit of normality will do her good.xx

Plant, hope you feel better today.

Not sure if I'll get the grass cut, local weather forecast doesn't sound too good.

DS1 just arrived. I'll pop back later.

                              Morning Nanto, Ladies
                              It's a bit overcast again , I don't mind it like this it's still warm .
We having a cuppa then going to Tesco,

                              MIL is acting up again,
SIL was taking her shopping on thursday but other sister reminded her that she had a chest x-ray on Thursday,
So SIL rang this morning and said she would take her today but that wasn't good enough she wanted to go Friday instead,
SIl has physio on Friday so can't do that day.

MIL said "well I will just have to starve as I have no food in "
SIL lost her temper telling her her freezer was full in fact you can't get anything else in and told her to stop being a drama queen,

Anyway she's going today after she realised she couldn't get her own way
SIL is ready for her mood know doubt she will put the act on again.
It's like negotiating with a petulant child at times.

                                Good morning everyone.

Nan2, your graphic reminded me that we heard our cat Poppy found a large toad hopping around in the shrubbery when we were away!

I hope you are feeling better today Plant.

Booking hitches like that are so frustrating Daisy.

Oma, my mum used to say exactly that sort of thing. I sympathise, I felt my decades working in childcare stood me in good stead there! xx

Aqua this morning, One of my 3 friends should be there so we will stay for coffee. I need to go to Asda petrol station, I think those are my only plans.
I hope to finish my holiday report here and put some photos on FB later.
I was awake a lot in the night but fast asleep when my alarm went off
