Is dull here also.
Nothing planned apart from go to M&S, I bought some knickers from there last week , they are so comfy I'm going back for more.
I need ice cubes and potatoes while im there ,
They have some really nice Jacket potatoes in at the moment so will get those for tonight I think.

Good Sunday morning, everyone.

I'll pop back this evening. We're expecting DIL1, GSs and GS2's girl friend (who we haven't met yet) any minute, and I need to dry my hair etc.

Very overcast here, not sure what we are expecting today. Very quiet next door after a busy day yesterday. Getting to know my walking aid, I am planning to have a walk in our quiet road and I must practice collapsing it and lifting it in the car. It is called a Rollacre Ultralight. My first shop will be to the Co=op. Wish me luck. Sun has just come out, hope it stays.

Daisy, have a special time with your family.

Oma I now fancy a jacket potato and I haven’t any pots.

Gemini, garden centres are very tempting places, I haven’t been to one this year, one of our local shops has had some good plants so I have supported them.

After a dull start, we had plenty of sunshine. We had a lovely day with the family, and liked GS2's girlfriend. She was quite quiet, but very sweet. I'll catch up with you all tomorrow. Night, night. xx

I think its only natural for GS2's girlfriend to be a bit quiet on the first meeting.

We had very little sunshine yesterday and I don't think it's going to be any better today.

No plans for us today. Just finishing my cuppa then I'll decide what I'm doing.

Giving hubby his weekly treat for dinner, we are having chips, beans and egg.

I have to go get a apple turnover for MIL she loved the last one and said she wants another.

I bought two dresses from Shien, they came yesterday,
Lovely fit and pretty but have to be 7 ft tall for the length so they getting posted back today,
Worth a try I suppose.
If it wasn't for the length I would have been very pleased with them , one needed about 5 inches off but we measured the second one and it needed a whopping 11.1/2 inches off.

I wasn't blessed with height 😂

Daisy, that must have been so nice to have the family day and meet your GS's girlfriend.

Plant, hopefully your Lite rollator will be easy enough to fold and get in and out of the car.

Nan2, Chips, beans and eggs are simple but I bet most of us like them

Oma, dress lengths drive me mad. I buy Roman dresses in midi length when I want a long dress.

We had a good trip to the garden centre yesterday. We bought more compost and lots of plants. We took them all to the car then treated ourselves in the coffee shop. We shared the most delicious and enormous vanilla slice with our drinks! I doubt anyone could eat one by themselves in one sitting.
Aqua for me today. This afternoon I will be in the garden planting out my purchases. We need some shopping, so I will probably do that on my way back from the pool.

Our farm shop is like that, I always half them and have them over two days 😁
I like Roman dresses they are just the right length , so are Bonmarche,
These were so pretty but ridiculous length.

Even Roman and Bonmarche dresses and skirts are too long for me.
Always buy my trousers from Bonmarche though.
I once got in touch with Bonmarche about the lengths of skirts and dresses,they replied no plans to make shorter ones.

Good Monday morning, everyone.

Nanto, what a pretty butterfly to start the working week. Eggs, chips and beans sound great to me. It's the perfect comfort meal, isn't it. Enjoy our day whatever you do.

Oma, you're very kind to MIL making sure she gets her favourite things. The apple turnovers sound good.

Gem, you bought a lot of work at the garden centre, but it's so lovely to have lots of flowers, colour and scent in the garden. I like vanilla slices, but you're right - a whole one is a bit too much. Happy planting this afternoon.

Plant, have you tried your rollator yet? I'm sure it will be very useful.

I can understand our GS2's girlfriend being a bit shy yesterday - it was a bit full on for her, and she's such a sweetie. GS is clearly smitten and told me she's a "keeper". They seem well suited. Oma, he has taken other girls home over the years, but just casual pals really. This relationship seems different.

Dress lengths (and trousers) are a nightmare if you're on the small side. I hardly ever wear a dress but have found longer "mini dresses" just skim my knees and work ok. Like Gem, if I want a long dress I buy a midi. The best fit for trousers for me, are usually standard or petite mid-rise, as I'm very short in the body. Standard waistline end up somewhere up my ribs! I'm just under 5'4" so I can imagine how hard it is if your are shorter than that.

No plans for us today. Our ensuite shower broke last week, and the man is coming to install a new one some time this afternoon. It will be good to have it working again - the one over the bath just isn't as good.

I hope you enjoy a lovely shower tonight , you will feel like a queen in you shining new shower unit 😁

I popped down to see my elderly neighbours, just as I got in the door she fell over backwards,
She got more of a shock than hurting herself ,
I managed to lift her up into the chair as her husband is frail and unable to do it.
She had a few tears but was ok , she's so scared of breaking something and isn't steady on her feet, she uses a stick and has a rolator she should really use around the house now.

She was fine by the time I left .
It's so easy done she just turned slightly and slipped.
I'm glad I was there to get her up.

Length of tops are my problem, T shirts nearly come down to my upper thigh. I am going to have a walk up to end of the road when GDtakes her daughter swimming in the school pool just over the end of the road. Tomorrow GD and I are planning to take the Rollator to the parade and do some shopping. Then I am hoping to feel confident enough to go it alone. I enjoyed my walk yesterday and no back ache

Oma, your Mil has a very sweet tooth. Is there any sign of her coming home?

Daisy, I expect your GS’s girlfriend was probably very shy. How old is the GS who has the girl friend?

Gemini, Have you managed to plant all the new plants? I am finding the ground very dry as we are having a lot of wind and no rain.
