    Good Friday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I could do justice to a nice meat and potato pie with gravy - it's sunny but very cold here and I need comfort food! Fingers crossed for the weather to warm up a bit.

Gem, I'm relieved to hear you're feeling better, and your Auntie will be pleased to hear from you. I hope the ABs work quickly for your DD3 as well. Enjoy your 'free' day.

Lizzie, it's such a worry what youngsters can see online these days - even accidentally - and AI makes it hard to distinguish tech wizardry from reality. I worry for youngsters being exposed to such awful things.

Oma, Oh dear, another cold is just what you don't want. Do you think you and B are passing the virus between you? I'm sure you don't feel like goin to the eye infirmary today, but as you say you've been waiting a long time for the appointment, and they are important checks. I hope it all goes ok for you. Is it a long way away?

    Back later - doorbell ringing.

Oma, So sorry to hear you are suffering with another cold, you certainly don’t need that. I hope you feel up to going to the Eye Infirmary later.

Daisy, good morning to you. Lovely to get together with friends. As our WI has had to close we are meeting in a cafe once a month to keep in touch. Your Eva sounds a clever lady. I hope there is a nice surprise on your doorstep.

I have a friend here atm sorting out a border for me, she isn’t a gardener but loves gardening and is saving to go to back to NZ to see her family. She is a receptionist/secretary at our doctors surgery and answered a message I put on our local website. Just had a phone call from DS, he is coming this afternoon with GS3 to see me. I am sure I can find them a few jobs whilst they are here!

It's a good 25 minutes drive to the infirmary, it's a very old hospital.
They are in the process of building a new high tech eyes infirmary in the middle of the city ,
That will be easier for people without a car to get too.
The old. One is way out on the outskirts of the city so if I went didn't have a car it would be two long bus journeys.
Yes I think we are passing this cold back and forth,

We went to the Tip then to farm foods and Aldi,
Came home and I had a nana nap for a full hour. I feel so much better for it😁

        Plant
You will feel better getting the boarders sorted I know you have been wanting them done for a while.
I'm sure DS won't mind doing some jobs for you , 🙂

        Gem
A nice easy day for you with no school run,
Are you just having a trim today?
Is S able to play golf? The weather hasn't been good has it.
GS went on the putting range the other day but said the wind was wild.

Plant, sadly there was nothing nice on the doorstep! It's a good time to be getting some work done on your borders. Ours have little weed seedlings all over the place, and it's too cold for me to even think about tackling them today! Hopefully your lady helper and your DS and GS3 will tackle some of the jobs for you.

Oma, I hope your appointment at the eye hospital went well. Our eyesight is so important and precious. I think a lot of very old Victorian hospitals were built on the outskirts of cities because of fears about infection back in those days. But I bet parking is a nightmare and it's a warren of corridors inside. We are so lucky that our local small hospital was rebuilt on a spacious site about 25 years ago. It's clean and spacious with loads of free parking and not far from a town centre, whereas getting to the big General hospital is a lottery with the traffic and has totally inadequate parking. If you go by train it's too far to walk from the station, so it's a bus or taxi. It's a very good hospital, but the logistics aren't great.

I'm sure you needed that nap, and glad you feel better for it.

Gem, it always gives you a boost to get your hair done. I hope you've had a lovely chilled out day. How was your Auntie when you spoke to her?

OH is out tonight, so I'll probably just have something on toast for tea.

With rush hour traffic took us 45 minutes to get there ,
I was in all of 10 minutes
Back again on Monday to see the Dr.

Daisy this hospital is like that had to go up two flights then follow arrows around a warren of corridors to get to the department,
I must say for a very old building it was very clean .
The nurse was telling me the new eye infirmary will be so easy to get too all busses will stop more. Or less outside.
She said it will be easier and cheaper for her to get the bus to work rather than use the car once they change over.

Oma, I hope you get a decent nights sleep and the cold doesn't get worse. The eye department at our hospital is one of the easiest departments to get to

Nice busy day with visitors for you Plant.

Daisy I didn't get round to phoning my auntie. OH is out a lot tomorrow, so it's definitely on my list for tomorrow!

This afternoon I did some Secretary work. I sent out the agenda for the AGM next week, plus the Minutes of the last meeting and few emails regarding the AGM.
I tried to book our London train tickets for June, but it's next Friday I can do that!
No golf for OH (she rarely plays on Fridays) we had a few rounds of Rummikub.

Oma, hope you feel better soon. How did the appointment go.

Gem, well done for getting things sorted for the AGM and the minutes.

Been a quiet day here. I have tidied all the drawers in both freezers, done a pile of ironing and tidied round.

                  A bit frosty this morning.

Going into town today, calling into Wickes and the Range on the way. Hoping to get the paint for the kitchen cupboards.

Meeting up with DS2 in town. Then we will pay a quick visit and see DIL.

                    Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto, that little bird looks very spring-like. Have a lovely day out. Are you shopping for anything in particular in The Range? Will you have lunch with DS2? Is DIL working? It will be good to walk into your nice tidy house when you get back, and even better knowing there isn't a pile of ironing lurking somewhere.

Gem, you did well to get all your admin work done yesterday. Are you feeling ok today?

Oma, it's frustrating to have such a slow journey for a 10 minute appointment, but it's the way of things these days unfortunately. I hope you have better luck with the journey on Monday. Have you got anything nice planned for the week-end?

Plant, how are your borders looking after yesterday? Everything is starting into growth here and it's good to see fresh green shoots on the plants and shrubs. What have you got in flower at the moment?

No particular plans for us today. I think OH wants to do some woodturning, and I need to get on with the gardening. It's just difficult to know where to start when there's such a lot to do!

I hope everyone is ok and enjoying some sunshine, even if it is still rather chilly.

                      Morning ladies

                      Nanto
Enjoy your shopping trip and if you have lunch out with your DS,

                      Daisy
It's a lovely sunny day but chilly at the moment ,
B is going to pressure hose the pavings where the old shed has been ready for the new one,
We filled holes in in the bedroom yesterday so we sanded them down this morning
We will move most of the furniture into the spare room tomorrow ready for the decorator.

My sister has had another fall this morning and banged her head again,
Yet another huge bump on the side of her head ,
                      It's a worry she's having all these falls ,
I think she needs to be seen in the fall clinic but she's terrified of hospitals.
I told her this morning she's going to end up in one if she doesn't do something.

                        Good morning everyone.

The sun is shining. Whether or not we will also have showers remains to be seen.

Have a nice visit to town Nan2, I hope the weather stays fine.

B must be feeling a bit better Oma. Worrying about your sister, as you say you cant make her go to the clinic, only advise.

Daisy, I am feeling a lot better thank you. Still very croaky in the mornings. I have a quiet weekend so I'm hoping to be fighting fit for aquafit on Monday!
Just tackle one bit of gardening at a time Daisy!

It is the AGM of the ladies committee at OH's golf club this morning. OH will be coming off the committee after several years. She is giddy with excitement to be free of those meetings Their AGM is open to all members and is also social event, ending with a carvery lunch. Sadly as I am a non member I'm not eligible.
A day at home for me, with no plans at present.

Gemini, I bet S will be pleased to give up being on the committee at the golf club, she has done her turn. Pleased to hear that you are seeing the back of that cold.

Daisy, sunny but cold here, you will need to wrap up working outside. The sun is nice coming through the windows. I have a lot of borders, she did what needed to be done urgently.

Oma, so sorry to hear your sister has had another fall, she does really need to see someone about her falling. Now don’t you and B overdo things, give yourselves a chance to get stronger after being poorly.

Nanto, Good morning to you and your pretty yellow bird. Good luck with the paint.

We didn't get the paint today.
We have a couple of independant shops not too far away.
Hubby want to have a look in those.

Gem, happy retirement for S leaving the committee.

Had a lovely meal with DS1 and DIL.

Gem, it must be a relief for S that she's coming off the Golf Club Committee. These things are hard work and it often hard to find a replacement for good committee members. It will give her more free time to actually play golf, which is good. I hope you've enjoyed your quiet day, restful day. My OH is still a bit croaky in the mornings, but not every morning now.

Nanto, there are so many types and shades of paint available now, it gets harder to choose. Pleased you had a lovely meal with DS2 and DIL.

Plant, you were right about the weather - lovely sunshine, but a bitterly cold north wind. It was too cold for gardening! You must be pleased to have got the urgent jobs done in your borders.

Oma, you and B are always busy. I hope you're not moving heavy furniture - take care. Neither of you need to damage yourselves. Your poor sister. I hope somebody can persuade her she needs to see her doctor about those falls.

With gardening off the agenda, I've just been pottering around today. I've just got back from walking Eva - I was wrapped up in lots of layers to keep that cold wind out.

So we made lunch for us all then SIL measured up for the carpets in both bedrooms and moved my dressing table and our bedside tables into the spare room for us.

We then sat chatting till after 3 so it was too late then to do anything
