Nan2, a lovely busy sociable day for you

That night's sleep must have done you good Oma.
I hope B's tooth stays pain free until has has it fixed.

Was the trefoil afternoon good Plant?

Daisy, I feel for your GD. No matter how much we tell them SATs are nothing to worry about many children do.
I'm sorry you didn't feel up to going out, but you have to listen to your body xx

GS was very happy to see me when I collected him and excited that we went to his house. DD's training day finished earlier than expected so she was back before GS's tea. Because he'd expected me to make however he still wanted me to!
Their neighbour's little GD is one of GS's friends. She was next door at her Grandma's with her daddy so DD,GS and I went over to sit in the garden with them and the children went in the paddling pool. I left them all still out there when I came home.

We have both been falling asleep in front of the TV tonight. OH has gone to bed and I'm on my way now. I had a bath earlier so I just need to brush my teeth .
    Night everyone!

Good morning everyone, Gem, you would enjoy your time with GS3. They would enjoy the paddling pool.

Nanto, you have the typical Yorkshire home! Everyone welcome!!! Shoplifting happens far too often. In the end, we pay for the damage. The manager at the Lidl opposite here told me that there are more energy drinks stolen than sold!

WG, a storm, I can't remember the last time we had rain, it is far too dry here and has been for too long.

Daisy, I think all the children feel the same when they have SAT's.

Oma, I hope that B's tooth isn't as painful now, I see I have an appointment next month.

I went to Delft yesterday, I had an appointment for information on the euthanasia, certainly came home with some information!

Good morning Lizzie and all who follow.
We can't remember when we last had rain either.

I think it will be a quieter day, not expecting any visitors, but then I didn't expect any yesterday.

        Daisy, hope you are OK.

Dinner is salad with scampi, hubby's choice, saved me from thinking what to do.

          Good morning ladies.

Nan2, we had scampi last night ( a favourite of my OH) Who knows if you will have any visitors today?!

Aqua this morning, no other plans today.
OH has golf again. She is playing 4 times this week. It's too much, but it works out that way sometimes.
Not my turn to cook but I will I think as I have time.

            Gem
Sounds a good day hope you slept well,
I find a bath makes you sleepy , sometimes wish we had one ,

            Plant
How did Trefoil go was there a speaker on ?

            Lizzie
Shop lifting is getting worse everywhere, they are so blatant no fear at all ,
            Makes me so angry

            Daisy
            Did you sleep well?
It's hard on the young with these Sats , I think it should be about the performance throughout the term like other countries ,
Is it only this week she has them?

I have Drs at 10 results of bloods BP etc but I know everything is ok already as I read them online ,
Apart from my white blood count but we know about that , a watch and wait thing .

B is putting shelves up in DDs office after lunch .

Washing done and dried , they went in the tumble as it's dark and grey here threatening rain.
I was up at just before 5 am so everything I needed doing is done .

              Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, those cherries look delicious. There are just a few weeks in the year when Tesco sell big trays of cherries. We see it as an early summer treat, and they never last long in our house. I love scampi and often choose it in a pub.

Gem, what a lovely time GS3 had yesterday. It sounds as though you could do with a lazy afternoon, especially if you're going to take over the cooking tonight. Four rounds of golf in a week sounds a lot, I bet S will be tired by the end of it, but at least the sun's shining and it makes up a bit for all the days they couldn't play in the winter.

Oma, how did you sleep last night? Getting up at 5 am sounds as though it wasn't so good. Did the doctor suggest anything to help with your WBC? I think it's a pity schools put pressure on at Key Stage 2 (Year 6) but I think the results can influence setting at the senior school. Yes, it's just Monday to Thursday. The school has been open for free breakfasts all week, which I think is very sad because it must be because some children get sent to school without anything in their tummies. On Friday, they all get doughnuts and I'm sure the Head will lay on some fun things for them. Has GS chosen what he'd like for lunch?

I'm having another lazy day! OH has gone to collect the wheels for the kit car, and this afternoon he has an eye appointment. Our neighbour it taking him, so I think I might just carry on the lazy theme while he's out.

We are expecting a warm day, I have Games this afternoon so will be indoors. I am expecting a Waitrose delivery any time now. Perhaps the shoplifter need those energy drinks so they can run fast. It must be awful for the small shops. Games for me this afternoon and then I am going to call at the chemists to get a jab. DD has just been in to check my diary, she keeps a diary of my medical appts. She likes to keep abreast of my medical appts.

Morning Nanto, those cherries do look good. This area used to be a big cherry growing area because of the chalky soil, we had 6 trees in the garden when we moved in, alas they have all died. No visitors expected, don’t talk too soon. How is your nephew?

Oma, enjoy lunch with GS. B is the family handyman, always on call.

Daisy, when is the end date for your injections? I don’t think we should have exams, the nervous children don’t show their true grades. I feel for your GD.

Daisy, you carry on with the lazy theme, won't do you any harm.

Oma, another one here up at 5, so got most jobs done.
Salads are plated up in the fridge.I'll take them out an hour before eating, just the scampi to go in the air fryer.

Sun is in and out today, a bit cooler than yesterday.

                    Daisy
A ok night but not great , I was up and down off and on again.
The hospital have said as the count isn't at a certain level to just leave it alone and see what happens.
                    Another lazy day won't harm,
Isn't it sad so many children go to school without breakfast,
As children we had nothing but my mother always made sure we were fed even if it was only toast we always had something before school.
GS only wanted a bacon and sausage sandwich today , and then a piece of cheesecake😁

                    Plant
At least your DD is keeping up with it all so you don't miss anything,
What a shame about the cherry trees,
We have lots growing wild around here but the birds get at them, we often find the stones dropped in the garden,
I think it's mainly the black birds who eat them.

Shelves are up so DD is happy

When we first moved into this house, there was a large cherry tree in the middle of the garden.
It used to fruit quite well, but the birds usually got them before us.
Hubby cut the tree down many many years ago.

Nephew is ok. Doctor says it could be one of two things. They will know when they get results back in 2 weeks.

                        Good evening.

Plant, your DD is very caring to keep a check on your appointments etc.

Another restful day is what you need Daisy.

After a decidedly chilly morning it was quite nice by late afternoon.
I had coffee with my friends after my aqua class and haven't done much this afternoon.
Well actually I cancelled our holiday insurance as it was within the 2 week cancellation period, and took out a different one. I will say more about this on YEO, at some point.
OH did well at golf, better than yesterday so she was pleased.

Plant, I don't know when (if) there is an end date for the injections. Your DD is very good, keeping an eye on your medical appointments. I think children in primary school shouldn't have to feel under pressure for SATS - it should be (in my opinion) a snapshot of how the school is functioning, given the profile of its pupil cohort. Some children have life stacked against them from Day 1, and other progress at different rates and with different learning styles. It must have been sad to see the cherry trees dying like that. How was the Games afternoon?

Nanto, glad to hear your nephew is ok, but I'm sure he will be anxious waiting for the results of the tests. Did you have any visitors after all?

Oma, B obviously did a good job putting up DD's shelves. Has he got any projects going on, or has he 'retired'? It's reassuring that the hospital are ok with your WBC and are just keeping an eye on it. I can picture J tucking into a huge bacon and sausage sandwich, but the lad does have an early start to the day to work up an appetite. I stopped growing grapes and blueberries because the day you know they are ready for picking is the day the birds strip them bare before you're even out of bed!

Gem, insurance is such a minefield, isn't it. You can get the same cover at all sorts of prices. Well done on spotting what I'm sure is a bargain for your holiday. Well done to S. Is she playing again tomorrow - I know you said it was a busy week for her.

I was a bit less lazy this afternoon. I cleaned out bedroom and made a vegetable and lentil curry in the slow cooker for tomorrow - and hopefully, Friday. OH didn't have to wait long for his eye appointment, and he didn't need an injection, much to his relief. But then it took them ages to get home as the road was closed because of an accident. It was in a dangerous spot - on a bridge, on a bend with a busy local road joining it. At least he will be ok to drive to the vets in the morning for Eva's appointment.
