    Good morning everyone.

Nan2, I'm glad you slept. I know when my DD3 had a major sleep problem which lasted a long time that (Understandably) worrying about not sleeping played a part.

Oma, that sounds a lovely evening

Daisy, we get the cat food from Luna and Me. There is 4pawsraw shop within half an hour's drive which dog owning friends recommend, but we haven't got around to going yet. So many raw feeding businesses seem to concentrate solely on dogs, or have one cat option, Luna has a good variety for cats, so we are sticking with them and paying postage unless/until we find a equivalent local option!
The queue was horrendous in Primark anyway (madness to go Saturday!) so OH will go back another day.

We had a lovely meal, and while we were there OH booked a table for 10 for the joint birthday meal for herself and a friend who also has a May birthday. So we will be back in a months time!

Today I must post the local Whatsapp group letters through doors! I just haven't had time this week. It's only our street and hopefully OH will help so it wont take too long.
The rest of the day we will play by ear. Lovely sunny morning

      Morning ladies
I'm all done wash on and having 5 minutes to myself.
I'm finding on a morning, my back aches very quickly when I'm doing stuff and I have to keep sitting down for a couple of minutes.
I think it's just after lying in bed it gets a bit stiff.
Having said that I didn't get to bed till 3 and up again at 6.30
Just one of those nights when your mind doesn't shut up ,
      B said it's like my mouth 😱🤐

We are doing some stuff in the garden today when it's a reasonable hour not to disturb the neighbours.
We have sleepers dividing the top and bottom of the garden and they are starting to look a little worse for wear.
It's a massive job to remove and replace as it goes the full length of the garden,
      Plus they are very heavy.
So B is cladding it with decking ,
He's already put a few on and it's instantly lifted the look.

Have a good day ladies x

        Good Sunday morning everyone.

A quick hello from me - GD2 is on her way. GD1 wants to go to a needlework show in our village hall, and GD2 said could she come and see us instead. It wasn't a hard decision to say "yes", bless her. I'll pop back later.

All the decking done and first coat of stain on, quicker than we thought,
We even managed to get to Super drug and M&S .
It's coming in a bit chilly the sun has gone behind the clouds for now.

            Wow, busy bees Oma!

Daisy, of course it will be lovely to have a visit from your GD

Lovely sunny warm day here. We have got 3 washloads dried and changed the bed. I printed the paperwork for tomorrows meeting and delivered about a third of the letters. I was wearing a jumper and it was very hot so that was enough

I will do the rest tomorrow.

Oma, isn't it lovely to get the jobs done.

Daisy, a visit from GD will be lovely for you.

Been lovely and warm here today.

Nanto, I'm glad the half tablet worked for you last night. I think the various sleep hygiene ideas are good - it just seems an odd way to describe them.

Oma, you and B must have worked hard to get all that decking done. I look forward to seeing some photos when it's finished.

Gem, a very productive day for you as well. I hope you get a good response to the leaflet drop. I think raw feeding for cats is getting much more popular, so the ranges on offer will improve. It was like that with raw dog food some years ago. I bet a lot of owners of cats and dogs found their cats wanting the dog's dinner!

I've had a lovely morning with GD2. She's very 'into' Slime and has become expert at making and mixing her own. She brought some with her and she showed me how to add ingredients and manipulate it. I had to smile when she said she liked it because it combined science and creativity!! She said I handled it much better than her mummy or daddy! It got me thinking how as our GCs get older it's harder to spend one-to-one time with them. Her mum and sister got back from the needlework fair just before lunch. Apparently it was packed but GD1 had found some "amazing" things - quirky buttons, and decorations for her school textiles project. She's making a Vivienne Westward style corset. She also bought me a very pretty pendant - she's such a sweet heart. They also arrived with dinner for us tonight - all prepared by DS2 and ready to go in the oven, complete with detailed instructions for the Acting Head Chef!

Just in case you're not familiar with the world of slime!! -

Daisy, at around your GS2's age my GD was very much into Slime! She often made it at our house

Dinner and a pendant! You are a lucky lady (who deserves the special treatment xxx)

Slime is very popular just now.

Daisy, how lovely to dinner sorted by DS2, and a lovely thought from GD to get you a pendant.
Her textile project sounds very interesting.

Nanto, I had no idea slime was such a huge industry! I hope to get some photos of GD2's project when it's finished.

Gem, were you allowed to play with GD's slime as well?

Good morning. Going to be warm again.

Daisy, i would love to see photos of your GD's project when its finished.

Plans for today is a gardening job. Hubby wants to take some of the daffodil bulbs out of one of the containers, then clean it out and put fresh compost in.
We decided on this during the night when I couldn't sleep.

Dinner will be chips, beans and egg. I've got homemade chips in the freezer.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

At least you used the wakeful time productively Nan2! Was it a night you couldn't take a tablet?

Yes Daisy, I was allowed to play with the Slime GD and her friend had great plans to go into business and sell it at one time I remember!

No aqua for me today as I have a committee meeting. I try not to book them on my aqua mornings but to be fair to everyone I have to rotate the days, and I can never do Thursday due to GS3.
This afternoon I , or we if OH helps, will deliver the letters to the rest of the street.

Yesterday both cats were extremely scared and spooked by a barking visiting dog in the garden behind. Well we hope it was only visiting Poppy went into hiding somewhere for ages and we couldn't find her. I have explained to them that dogs do have the right to exist, even near us, but they don't understand We are hoping for peace today.
We have lovely sunny weather forecast for the rest of the week

Good morning, I could be feeling better, but, the shingles are playing up again. Just phoned the doctor, there at 10am.

I have cancelled all my commitments for this week, I managed to get to DS1 for coffee late yesterday, it was his birthday on Friday and he was busy in the garden, he said "make sure you do cancel things mum!", so, I have done. I enjoyed the ride actually, very warm and pleasant to be out.

GD2 was telling me about all the drunken people on the Kings birthday, like her big sister, she notices these things! There was plenty of fighting and I read in the local paper that there were 2 stabbings as well later on in the evening, GD2 said the police were trying to sort it all out and the youths were just fighting the police. It is a shame as they will spoil all the celebrations, I did read this was a normal thing in all towns and villages.

Gem, GD2 used to make the slime when she was here.

                            Gem, your poor cats!

Daisy, what sweet GD's you have. Plus the DS making the meal for you both.

Oma, you will both be very pleased with what you have done in the garden.

I will get on my bike, yet again to the doctors!

                              Morning ladies
                              It's a lovely day.
I'm off for bloods at 10 and pick a parcel up at the post office ,
I have to drop something off at DDs first so I'm rushing.
                              Will pop back later .

                                Good Monday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I'll share photos of GD1's textile project with pleasure. Are you going to replant the container with something different and store the daffodil bulbs until the Autumn? I love having a few containers with colourful seasonal flowers. I'm sorry to hear you had another sleepless night though. xx

Gem, my GD2 has sold some of her slime - she takes it along to craft fairs and shares space with GD1 and her craft items. Sometimes it's impossible to juggle different commitments and other activities. I think you are being very fair. At least it's a nice day for delivering letters. Poor kittens! They obviously recognise a barking dog as a threat (quite rightly in my opinion) so I do hope yesterday was a one off. I wonder if there are any de-sensitising videos for cats. There are for dogs who are, say, afraid of fireworks. Or could they make friends with a cat-friendly dog who wouldn't pose a threat to them.

Lizzie, oh dear, I was hoping you were feeling much better now, but shingles is one of those things that can just reappear, isn't it. I hope the doctor can help, but I thik you're sensible to cancel your commitments this week and try and rest, even though you don't like doing nothing. Your son is quite right!

Oma, I hope your bloods are ok.

It's a beautiful sunny day here. OH and our neighbour are repointing part of our patio today. OH cleaned the crumbling stuff out yesterday and cleaned the slabs, and they're busy with a concrete mixer! Then another friend turned up to collect some wood OH has for him, and he wanted to saw it up here. I think OH said 'no' very politely. I'm keeping out of the way.
