Busy at your house Daisy, you are wise to keep out of the way.

Gemini, A visiting Great Dane killed our dear Poppy who only had three legs. The kittens are wise to be afraid of the dog.

Lovely sunshine as forecasted. I am off to lunch in the village hall at 12. The afternoon will be spent doing nothing.

Oma, good luck with the blood check.

I will check in again later

Daisy, the doctor told me the same, rest! I have en eye infection on top of it all, luckily not from the shingles. One of these days, I will feel better!

Bloods are my regular ones , BP was spot on again considering it used to be extremely high .
Won't get results till next week.

        Lizzie
All you can do is rest and go with the flow when you have one thing after the other.
Sadly it seems any celebration is marred by trouble makes the world over,
Those poor people in Vancouver yesterday with the car ploughing into the crowd killing 12
The other day where GS lives in Leeds someone with a crossbow and guns injured two girls.
        It's madness everywhere.

How sad , Storm is a cat lover but can't understand why other unknown cats don't like him,
He's a licker he loves licking his cats๐Ÿ˜
I hope you enjoy your lunch.

        Daisy
Your girls are very talented, it's nice they are picking up crafts ,
Do you think your oldest GD will go in for design and textiles? It seems it's her forte ,
Best keep out of the way, I imagine J didn't want sawdust everywhere when he has just cleaned and prepped the slabs.

Poor kitties it must be scary hearing dogs barking , they are after all still babies.
Shame you missed Aqua , I hope you get a good response from your leaflets.
How are you feeling today any more comfortable.

Gem, it was a night when i could take a tablet, but tried not to. I gave up in the end took half a tablet.
Hope the cats are ok after yesterday.

Lizzie, shame about the fighting spoiling the celebrations.

Daisy, the container is low to the floor. All the daffodil bulbs have been taken out, fresh compost put in,and the sweetpeas have been planted now. Hubby always likes the sweetpeas in this.I'll take a photo later and show you it.

          Plant,enjoy lunch.

Oma, good news about your BP.
Mine has been good for the past couple of years.Obviously my tablets are doing the job.

Daisy, this is the trough we have planted up. This photo is from last year,we've had daffodils in this year. 20220414_094513tulips (2)tulips2.jpg

That's a pretty trough Nan2. I hope you sleep better tonight.

A lot more comfortable thank you Oma.

Daisy I don't blame you for keeping out of the way with all that going on earlier!

Plant, I remember that terrible incident with your poor cat. My cats were born in a cat rescue (no dogs around) and have never met dogs. That fear must be instinctive. Having said that any loud noises terrify them!

Oh dear Lizzie. Perhaps you need nice holiday to help you get better xx

The meeting got quite heated this morning regarding fundraising!!
OH and I got the remaining letters delivered this afternoon. I have had several responses and we have a WhatsApp group now
I coloured my hair this afternoon and we sat in the garden for a while.

It's another sunny start to the day.
We are doing well with the weather, I think it's forecast to be like it all week.

Daisy, how is the patio coming along.

My plans for today is to tidy up downstairs, then change the bedding, get it washed, then clean upstairs.

Hubby's pal is better, so they are both looking forward to meeting up and having a natter.

When hubby gets back, he wants to clean another large tub out, and fill with fresh compost. I'll give him a hand, although sometimes I'm a hindrance more than a help.

Homemade mince and onion pie, potato, carrot and swede mash, veg and gravy is on the menu today.

Good to hear the chat group is up and running , I bet lots have thought about it but never got up the courage to start one ๐Ÿ˜

                Daisy
How are you today did J and his pal get the patio sorted?

We have the dog today , DD away at conference,
I will have to leave him for a couple of hours as I'm back at the hospital for another round of shock waves treatment on my leg at 12 .
It's a nice morning and supposed to get quite warm today.

I hope the treatment helps Oma

Library for me this morning (the librarian was a bit confused to see me arrive there yesterday morning, on my way into the meeting , she thought it must be Tuesday )
Lunch with my two school friends later, so a nice day. The usual Tuesday golf competition for OH.

                    Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, The trough of tulips looks lovely - thank you for the photo. The sweet peas will be beautiful in there. Let's hope your hubby's pal is ok now.

Gem, you've had a good response to your local WhatsApp group. It will be very useful for all sorts of things. Fundraising is never easy, and I'm sure there were lots of different points of view. It will seem like Groundhog day today for the librarian when you turn up again this morning. Have a lovely time with your school friends.

Oma, it must be a relief to you to have your BP under control. I hope the shock wave treatment helps your leg.

Lizzie, I hope you are following doctor's orders and resting. xx

The work on the patio continues, but hopefully they'll finish it today. Then they are going to build our neighbour's new shed! OH and our neighbour work very well together and are happy to help each other with various jobs. I'm feeling tired today, so I'll just take it easy.

Daisy, that is very convenient that your OH and neighbour work well together and help each other with jobs. I hope you have rested and are feeling less tired.

Gemini, I hope your new Whatโ€™s App Group gets lots of support.

Oma, I hope the shock wave treatment will help

Nanto, I love tulips such beautiful colours

I have almost finished planting up the pots in the courtyard, too hot out there today and I must water them this evening, The ants are in one of my large pots, they will have to be exterminated. It houses a plant/shrub called The Bride, very pretty.

Lizzie, I hope you are taking the doctors advice and resting.

Had my second treatment , quite painful but doesn't last long ,
It does seem to be working the ache is so much better.

                        Plant
Ants in your pots are a nuisance, you don't want your plant damaged or for it to die do you.

I wore a dress today it was so warm , not used to having my legs exposed ๐Ÿ˜

                          Good evening everyone.

It's a pity the treatment is so painful Oma, but good that it does seem to be helping.

I hope you have managed a restful day Daisy.

I hope the plant survives the pesky ants Plant.

It was a class visit in the children's library this morning. The librarian does several each term from the three local primary schools. Today was the reception class.
I had a lovely lunch and catch up with my friends this afternoon. My car told me it was 24 degrees!
I have so far been unable to secure a place at tomorrow's aquafit class. I'm hoping for cancellation between now and the morning! There have been two cancellations today. One when I was in the shower this morning. One when I was driving home this afternoon

Oma, glad the treatment seems to be working.

Plant, you have done well getting the pots planted up.

                            Been very warm here today.

Gem, hope you get a cancellation for tomorrows aquafit.

Plant, it's quite satisfying when you get pots planted up, isn't it. You know you can look forward to all the flowers that will come later. But it is hard work! My energy levels go up and down, almost randomly, but I haven't done much today!

Oma, it sounds as though the shock wave treatment is helping, even if it's not much fun going through it. It will be worth it. Wow, wearing a dress - it must be summer.

Gem, I bet the school Reception class loved their outing to the library. Hopefully it will encourage them to ask (pester!) their parents to bring them along as well. Good reading habits can't start too early. Good luck with getting a cancellation for Aqua tomorrow.

OH and our neighbour finished that part of the patio today, so we can at least now set out the garden furniture and put pots out etc, but we have to wait a week for it to set properly. We had cement and sand left over and I put them on our local WhatsApp "Can I borrow..." group, and they were snapped up in less than a minute. It's such a useful group - no money changes hands, but people can get rid of stuff they don't want to somebody who does want it. And sometimes people just need the use of an item for a short time and other are happy to lend it. Win-win all round.
