    Morning ladies

Well my GS is 21 today, can't believe it ,
We have texted him but they are 8 hours behind us so it will be after midnight there, we will wait till tea time to ring him, can't believe those years have gone 🫣

Waiting for the dog walker and SILs partner coming sometime today to sort my kitchen floor where a couple of flooring strips need fixing.

I booked my Flu jab yesterday for first week in October.

    Lizzie
My Niece had to be able to walk upstairs before she could come home, she has physio to help.
Not long for your holiday now is it.

    Gem
    Enjoy your reflexology.

      Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, that dog is very cute. I hope he gets a good treat for delivering the paper! I'm sure the new fencing will look nice. Enjoy your tasty dinner.

Lizzie, the summer holiday seem to have gone quickly, but it must be good to get back to Aqua. There always seems a lot to do before a holiday, but at least you're getting help from P&O with your queries. Your GDs must have had a great shopping spree in New York. I often don't feel like a walk but am always glad I've made the effort, especially if it's a nice day.

Oma, very happy birthday to your GS1. How can he be 21 already! Your niece is doing very well. I think she must be a very brave and very determined lady. I hope recovery goes well for her.

Gem, a good therapeutic day for you, aqua and reflexology. Is S playing golf?

It's wet and dull here, and forecast to be miserable all day! I'm going to take Eva back to dog training at lunch-time. She enjoys it, and even at 13 is still learning new things. It's a 2-hour class so if my energy levels drop I'll sit out some of the activities - Pam, the trainer is very understanding. OH has gone to have coffee with one of his car pals. He's made a storage box to sit on the running board of one of this friend's vintage cars, and it looks very good, and authentic for the era. It's not the sort of thing he usually does, but he's done dovetail joints and fitted a vintage type of hinge etc. The friend is very pleased even though OH has said "never again"!

Oma, Happy 21st to your GS.

The chap from the energy company came dead on 8'oclock. He was here for an hour and 10 minutes.
Fencing arrived at 8.40. We offered the old fencing on marketplace for free.
A lovely couple came to pick it up, and the man helped hubby to slot the new fencing in place.
Sat and had a natter and a cuppa with them. Turns out they live just 2 streets away from DS2 and DIL.
I'm glad everything was done early, better than waiting all day.

Weatherwise its sunshine and showers here.

Daisy, well done to OH for making the storage box.

Nanto, isn't it good when things come together so well - your timings all worked out well and you met some nice new poeple, got rid of the old fencing and hubby had help with the new panels.

I took Eva for a short walk not long after posting on here this morning. The sun came out briefly. As I got to the end of our cul de sac , still in sunshine, I saw a neighbour in the other direction but not far away with his mac on, hood up and I could see the rain bouncing off him! We completed our walk in the sun and not two minutes after we got home the rain was torrential. It was obviously my lucky day.

Dog training went well. Eva remembered everything, and had fun. I was tired by the time we got home, but otherwise OK.

            Oh well done Eva!

Happy Birthday to your GS1 Oma 🎂🥳

I'm glad everything went well today Nan2.

We have had sunshine and showers today but neither of us was doing anything outdoors.

Our next door neighbour came round after work to pick up a parcel we had taken in.
Her little girl, aged two, heads straight for the conservatory (aka Little E's playroom!) She loves it in there. I think she thinks we are a nursery

Tried to post earlier but failed.

Oma, 21, that doesn’t sound possible. Just booked my flu jab too. Pleased to hear your neice is able to cope with the stairs, so much nicer for her

Good morning. It's a bright start to the day. Not sure what the weather forecast is for today. Had a few heavy showers yesterday.

No plans for today, will just see how it goes.

Fish and chips from the freezer today.

                  Morning Nanto, Ladies.

Busy day today , i have a dark wash in and I have been to see to the cats.
Dog walker coming at 9, so we will pop to Aldi while they have him out.
Then James picking Storm up at 10.30 for a few hours so we can take mil shopping at 11.

This afternoon I want to give the cats litter tray a good clean out and hoover round in DDs just to get any cat hairs up.

GS enjoyed his Birthday, they went in a tour of Alcatraz, then he and SIL played golf then out for a meal.
He will certainly remember his 21st😁

                    Good morning ladies.

Go with the flow days are one bonus of our age group Nan2

That sounds a good birthday for your GS Oma.

No little E today, he is in Dorset on holiday with his mummy and daddy.
I have an appointment to pick up my new glasses this morning, and will pop into Tesco which is next door.
Free day the rest of the day. I am planning to clear out my wardrobe whilst listening to The Archers omnibus this afternoon.
OH will be playing golf in Scarborough.

                      Good Thursday morning, everyone.

Nanto, a nice big smiley is a good way to start the day. Enjoy your fish and chips. We're having sunshine and heavy showers as well.

Oma, your GS will certainly have lots to remember about his 21st. I wonder what he thought of the golf course. Ones I've seen in America have always looked very luxurious and smart.

Gem, I hope little E is enjoying his holiday in Dorset, but sadly the weather could be better for them. Where abouts have they gone? I hope your new glasses are ok. It seems to be a bit of a lottery these days. Good luck with clearing out your wardrobe - it's a job I keep putting off.

I've set myself a lot of jobs to do today, which is silly because I haven't even started yet, and no way will I get through the list. We have to take Eva over to GS2's this afternoon, so OH is cooking for lunch-time. I've said I'll show him how to make a cottage pie. My DIL1 starts her degree course today. It's something she's had on hold for quite a while while she was caring for our DS1. I think it will be very good to have something to focus on and I think she'll enjoy it. She always throws her heart and soul into everything she does.

Hospital for me tomorrow morning, otherwise no plans for the week-end, but plenty of gardening to do if the weather is fine.

Good morning, it is very windy here with slight showers now and again, or heavy as I have just heard! I have been to Delft market on the E bike! There are hardly any stalls at the moment, the same everywhere I expect. I did get what I went for and managed to miss the showers. I got some material for some kind of legging for GD1, she came the other evening and surprised me by saying she wanted to learn to sew!!!! I told them both this 10 years ago, I have a good machine for her so when she has time she can start her lessons!!

DS2 phoned this morning, they are going to Kos on Tuesday with partners DD1 and her daughter, they have lived with them for almost 4 years and have got their own home to move into after the holidays, I doubt if that will be full time as it isn't far from DS2 so they will be there most of the time!

Daisy, the course sounds good for your DIL.

Oma, the family will be enjoying it in San Fransisco.

Gem, I hope that your specs are OK this time.

Gem, I am looking forward to the holiday, I don't do excitement! It will be nice to see them, I have looked at the forecast and it says rain for Thursday and Friday so I will see what the plans are.

I suppose we are being lucky as so far we have had sunshine. GD2 next door, she only has 4 weeks to go before the baby is due. I now have a lovely clean house, cleaner has just gone, she is amazing. Young fox in the garden this morning, I think it might have been injured.

Oma, sounds like family are having a good time in the US, GS celebrating his 21st (where did that time go?)

Lizzie, Well done GD wanting to learn to sew, good teacher in her GM. I hope you have some fine weather for your UK visit.

Daisy, another trip to the hospital for you, have they given you any idea how long you will have this treatment. Good luck to your OH with his Shepherds Pie.

Gemini, I hope you will be pleased with your new glasses. Have you booked a small trip?

Its been another day of sunshine showers, quite cool as well.
Both of us got done what we wanted to do, so went the day well.

Daisy, how did OH with the shepherds pie?

Lizzie, how lovely that your GD1 wants you to teach her to sew. I'm sure she's realised that the pieces you make for her are far superior to ones in the shops, and given she's so tall she might need to make things for herself as well as being helped by you. Also it's a nice thing to do together. I really enjoy the crochet lessons with my GD1, and tonight we've been discussing what fabrics she wants for her Textiles project at school. The topic is recycling so she's keen to check anything I might be sending to the recycling bin! It will be a big change for DS1 and Co, after 4 years. Are his partner's DD1 and her DD excited about their new home?

Plant, you must be so pleased to have such a lovely cleaner. I hope she stays with you. I know foxes can be a problem, but I hope the youngster you saw was ok. I've still got no idea how long I will need treatment. The doctors don't know either!

OH's cottage pie was excellent, although he was surprised that it was relatively hard work, compared with the meals he's cooked previously. He made enough for 4 so we can have the other two portions when we get back from the hospital tomorrow. He's done so well with his cooking these last 6 months, and DS2 and I were saying tonight that his next cooking lesson should be a roast dinner, complete with home-made Yorkshire puds. Or perhaps a chicken, leek and mushroom pie.

                                Raining this morning.

Daisy, didn't OH do well, with making the pie. I was telling hubby about your OH learning to cook, my hubby said he would have to find the oven first.😮

Lizzie, you're GD will have a good teacher when you are learning her to sew. My first job when I left school was in a sewing factory.

Hubby out for his Friday meet up.

Dinner is homemade mince and onion pie, carrot, potato and swede mash, veg and gravy.
