Nanto, how lovely that your hubby bought you flowers. I'm sure it was to say 'thank you' for looking after him, and he understands you've been worried for him. I hope you were both wrapped up warmly. Isn't it funny how some cars look 'right' in one colour, but not in another. At least the owner can find it in a car park. I have to go round zapping cars to find mine.

Oma, ouch, that staple sounds painful. Do you think the vacuum cleaner sucked it up and then spat it out again? It seems such a waste when things are over-packaged, doesn't it.

I didn't make it to the garden centre, but OH has gone on his own. It will be interesting to see what he comes back with - a clematis plant was one item on the list!

Aww Nan2, he's thanking you for your nursing skills I agree about the colder weather being unwelcome.

      Oma ouch!!

Daisy just listen to your body , you will get your mojo back and be at the garden centres again!

Chilly and drizzling here all morning so that ruled out a lot of outdoor things we may have done.
GS didn't fancy the cinema or railway museum. He did suggest bowling but as there was only him and me and I'm no good I wasn't keen!
We went to Smyth's toys where I set him a limit of £20, as I would have spent that or more on 2 cinema tickets. He chose a Pokemon figure. We then had lunch at McDonald's. The weather was fine by then so we went to a play park.
Once we got home it had clouded over again and it's been a cool afternoon.

        Gem, our posts crossed.

I suppose we can expect variable weather in April. I know that's what we get all year round, but April showers doesn't sound so bad. I bet GS2 was very pleased with his Pokemon figure.

Oma, ouch! That sounds painful. Loved the pic. Of your newly decorated bedroom, you made a good job of the headboard and chest.

Daisy, Eva must wondering what is going on with you not taking her for walks, your OH is doing well as a house husband. How long will the treat ment last?

Gemini, Tea looks yummy. I am sure GS2 will love his day with you.

Nanto, your OH has recovered well to his op. But you are still keeping an eye on him.
          You
Sorry I have been late to post, I popped to a M&S Foodhall this morning and for some reason I felt so tired after I got back so decided after a sandwich lunch I would have a doze.

Plant, an advantage of older years is the chance to nap if we feel like it

Daisy I love clematis. Did your OH get one and if so what kind?

              Good morning.
It's raining, and it seems so long since we had any. Not raining heavy though.

Plant, hubby is doing really well. He's not one for sitting and doing nothing , but he is being careful.

I think jacket potatoes are on the menu for today.

                Good morning everyone

It rained here in the night Nan2, but the sun is coming through now.

Daisy GS was very pleased with his figure. He stood him on his stand, made a 3D picture of him when we got back ,and couldn't wait to show his mum his new toy

Aquafit for me this morning, hopefully coffee with friends afterwards.
I am meeting another friend who I used to work with this afternoon. She cancelled last week and is known to be 'flaky', so we shall see if she cancels again. Not so far though so I am presuming we are meeting this afternoon.
                Golf for OH.

                  Morning ladies
It's awful here wet and dark, it's rained all night.

                  Nanto
Hubby isn't letting it stop him is he,
As long as he doesn't try to do too much.

                  Gem
I hope your friend doesn't cancel again, it's so annoying.
Can you remember Maggie from Newcastle kept cancelling on me even waiting at the train station and not texting till the train was almost there.

I have Hospital this morning for my leg pain, I'm not holding out any hope as no one seems to know what's causing it. 16 month now , I'm getting used to the pain, I just expect it to hurt all the time.

Oma, yes I remember that about M.
Could the leg pain be referred from your hip maybe? It's awful when they cant get to the bottom of these things.

I think it is a combination of my hip and knee I think they are straining my lower leg ,
I'm going to put it to them this morning to see what they say.

Good morning, Oma, I have pain in my lower leg, I have come to the conclusion that it is from the arthrose in my foot, I am walking too much to the side, I have an appointment at the podotherapist on Tuesday for new soles so I do hope that helps. I do have special shoes as well, oh, oh, it is a problem this ageing!!!

You did well with your bedroom Oma, you will both be pleased that it is all finished.

I either have some virus of the pollen allergy is playing up, I do think it is a virus as I have heard of a few people having it, airways, coughing, headache etc, I slept a full 12 hours last night, DS2 phoned to ask if I fancied eating there on Monday, I told him I don't know yet, he said I will make it a short call mum, you sound lousy!!!! I felt it as well.

Nanto, pleased you hubby is recovering quickly from his op.

                          Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

Lizzie, I'm sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly. Our pollen counts are very high at the moment, but as you say it could also be a virus. Take care of yourself and I hope you can go to DS2's for a meal on Monday.

Oma, your leg sounds very painful, and constant pain drains you. I hope you get some progress today.

Gem, I hope your friend turns up this time. Going to aqua today is great after missing Monday because of no instructor and next Monday because of the Bank Holiday.

OH has gone to his car pal's today. He offered to stay at home with me, but I think he needs a break from being Chief Cook, Bottle Washer and Nurse in charge of Pills! I'm going to make a lentil dhal for dinner tonight. The recipe is for 6 so plenty to put in the freezer as well.

It's sunny here at the moment, but quite windy.

Well I've been to see the biomechanics man,
He was puzzled too. He thinks it may be nerve damage or from my hip .
I have to go back tomorrow to a different dept to have shockwave treatment.
He said he could get me an appointment for 3 otherwise it's weeks on the waiting list.

He didn't think an insole of any kind would help.
I'm willing to try anything now .

                            Daisy
Don't exert yourself or J won't leave you again.
My friend makes a lovely lentil dhal .

The germs going around at the moment , you can't avoid them can you.
Rest up and sleep if you need to your body is telling you that sleep will help.xx

Oma, the biomechanics man is at least offering options and hopefully the shockwave treatment will help. You certainly don't want to be on a lengthy waiting list when you've already been waiting for so long. Fingers crossed for you that the shockwave treatment works.

I've been a model patient today. My neighbour came in and we had a coffee late morning. I had just started prepping dinner when DS2 phoned for a chat, and while we were on the phone OH came home. Dinner's basically cooked, just need to do some rice, but I was more than ready to have a rest after doing it!

Busy day and felt so different. Met some friends for coffee at one of the local church’s restaurant, we decided to also have a lunch of soup there. These friends were WI members before we had to close the group. We are meeting once a month in the Church cafe to keep in touch. This afternoon was the board games meeting.

Daisy, I expect your OH was missing his meet up with friends but I expect he didn’t like leaving you.

Oma, you are certainly puzzling the experts, sounds like referred pain.

Gemini, sounds like you hit the spot with GS’s present.

DD and sil left for their holiday this morning for a week, GD1 keeping an eye on me.
