      Morning ladies
GS coming for lunch , it's not a bad day .
I have a little bit of ironing but nothing that can't wait.
B is ok not much sleep but the cough doesn't sound so harsh this morning.

      Gem
Enjoy your day with E , will you be going out or spending time in the garden todayπŸ˜€
How nasty someone cutting the lights , they will have thought it very funny and I bet if you replace them they will do it again ,
Fingers crossed the cystitis will be gone in a day or two xx

      Nanto
I love a curry only with chicken in though , I couldn't eat a lamb or beef curry,
      Tikka is lovely.
      Hope your GD makes it.

      Lizzie
You certainly shouldn't be in a building on your own at night or anytime for that matter.
Nice of the man to say he will be earlier so your not alone.

      WG
So pleased to hear your improvement, funnily my MIL is still having a bit pain in her Femur .
Getting in the car must have been daunting but I bet you felt good that you did it .

      Plant
How odd Waitrose paid for the food but it was from M&S , hope it was nice though πŸ˜€

      Daisy
it sounds like You and Ava had a lovely time at training , good on Eva only eating half the sausage 🀣
I hope your water stays on , what a nightmare for those without.

        Good Thursday morning, everyone.

Lizzie, I wonder what on earth is going on with the coffee place. It's sounds disruptive, at least, but you certainly shouldn't be there alone.

Gem, I hope the aching muscles from your massage are now nice and relaxed. You've had a busy time and it's easy for tension to build up. Have a lovely day with little E. The sun's shining here, so I hope it's the same for S's golf.

Oma, how is that man of yours today?

Nanto, You're well organised - food delivery and hairdresser! It's always good to see family, so I hope GD1 makes it.

Yes, it was Eva's Christmas party at dog training yesterday. It was interesting to see how tired they all got doing different things. She slept all evening and then all night!

I was lucky enough to get a Sainsbury's delivery for next Monday morning, but I've also got one on Friday evening this week, just so we don't run out of everyday things. I see OH has written Weetabix and Chocolate in large capitals on the shopping list.

Our local news is still busy with the water problem in and around Southampton. Water stations have been late to open and people have been queuing for ages. I held my breathe this morning when I turned the kitchen tap on and heaved a sigh of relief when water came out! You don't realise how dependent we are on our water supply until it's under threat.

Good afternoon, it’s very cold and windy here, nearly blown off me feet on my walk to the chemist.

Oma, p,eased to hear B has the antibiotics, as you say he would be well in the mend if he’d gone sooner, but at least he should be feeling better soon.

Daisy, I saw of the news about the water, didn’t realise it might affect you, hope it’s all resolved soon and you don’t have any problems.

Went to docs his morning, I’ve had a horrid dry cough for ages, months in fact. Saw a doc in the summer, said it was viral and it would go on its own. Luckily I was able to see my own doctor this time, hadn’t been able to see he for ages, he was concerned that I also have very itchy skin and thinks the two could be caused by my blood pressure meds so has changed them will go back to see him in 3 weeks so fingers crossed it makes a difference.

Hope you are feeling better, Gem, cystitis is horrible, so painful. What a nasty thing to do, Gem, why do people do such things, πŸ˜–

Enfys, what a shame the problem wasn’t spotted earlier, I hope the cough will disappear now

Gemini, what a nasty thing to do to your lights, presumably youngsters with nothing better to do.

Daisy, I do hope you are not going to be affected by the water problem close to you. Sounded like fun at dog training.

Oma, I do hope B has turned the corner and behaving himself. Enjoy lunch with GS. I am looking forward to seeing my grandsons over the holidays, two of them I don’t see very often.

Oh, what a day. Hairdresser arrived just as Asda was delivering.
Fortunately hubby was here to get the shopping in.
Not long after, neighbour came with a card and stayed for coffee and a chat.
Put the shopping away, then had dinner.
I'd just tidied dinner things when sis in law and hubby arrived.
Well, thats a 3 hour job,not that we mind.
About 20 minutes after they had gone,GD1 and family arrived.
Always a pleasure to see them.
I don't feel like i've got much done today, but hey ho.
                See you all tomorrow.

Enfys, it got bitterly cold here as well, but quite sunny. I was prescribed Ramipril for my BP and that gave me a persistent cough. Changing to a different type of tablet solved the problem. Fingers crossed that will work for you as well.

Gem, the mentality of someone cutting your Christmas lights! Honestly, I would be furious. Did you have a good day with E?

Oma, our posts crossed this morning - I didn't realise. I hope that means B is definitely getting better.

I've done a bit of cooking today and got apples ready to make an apple tart tomorrow. There was a really cold wind this afternoon, so I took Eva in the car to walk in a dense part of the Forest, thinking it would be sheltered from the wind. The sun was just setting, and there was no-one around. We had a lovely walk.

OH has gone to his wood turning club tonight for the first time in ages. He was going to go last month but got snowed off!

Nan2, a nice social day for you.

It was cold here too Daisy, your Eva walks in the forest sound lovely.

I'm sure GS enjoyed his lunch Oma. I hope B is improving.

Enfys, I have known of other people who had to change medications due the the side effects of a cough.

This morning we went into the garden with the kittens and little E It was cold so we didn't stay out too long.
We brought in the Tesco order with E's help. That involved passing me quite few things and naming them - yogurt, broccoli , breadsticks, kitten food etc! I intercepted the eggs
I put in a request with the doctor's surgery for a phone consultation and was amazed to receive one this afternoon!! I have been prescribed 3 more days of antibiotics and am to take in a sample tomorrow.

Gem, that was quick with the phone consultation.

I think today will be a quieter day for us.
Yesterday, i didn't know if i was coming or going or been.
Hoping to catch up on a few jobs today.

                      Daisy,apple tart sounds scrummy.

Dinner is chicken stew and dumplings.

                        Good morning everyone.

Nan2 I was shocked! Our surgery is well known for being one of the worst for appointments. I filled in the online urgent form and said I didn't need to see anyone in person. I guess they realised with a weekend then Christmas coming up they needed to get me sorted!

No GS2 to pick up today. I could have gone over to the end of term Christmas service at the church. I was planning to, to but drive both ways and being in church may be challenging for my bladder! I will see him on 23rd, 24th and 26th so we will see plenty of each other

Tonight we are going out for a meal with a group of friends. This is our Christmas get together, but not a Christmas meal as such. It is the local Chinese restaurant which we can walk to.
We all like it there. The food is very good and the staff lovely.

Can I come to yours for tea the Daisy's for apple tart 😁
Hope you get a quieter day today, it was full on yesterday wasn't it.

                          Daisy
That walk sounded so peaceful, I bet Eva did lots of sniffing and scenting 😁
Did J enjoy his wood work meet?

                          Gem
I'm pleased you got an appointment, you really don't want to be going through Christmas without something .
I have this picture of E helping and you rescuing the eggs 🀣🀣

B a bit better this morning slept a few hours during night before the cough started again,
It doesn't sound so hacking when he does cough so that might be a good sign.

I went to Iceland first thing , walked around and bought very little,
Neither of us has an appetite at the moment so couldn't see anything we would fancy.
I made fish bites and home made chips last night It all got wasted .
I suppose one good thing about this is we haven't over shopped this year and saved money πŸ˜„

                            Good Friday morning, everyone.

Nanto, our posts crossed last night - I wasn't ignoring you. xx. What a social whirl you had yesterday, but I think it's lovely to have so many family and friends around. The chores can always wait, and you'll probably catch up today. Do you make your own dumplings (thinking about the conversation with Lizzie about suet!). I haven't made them for ages but usually do them with a beef stew.

Gem, a gold star for your surgery for once. I hope the extra antibiotics do the trick. It's a pity to miss the end of term Christmas service, but better safe than sorry, and I'm sure he will tell you all about it. Have a great time with your friends this evening. A good Chinese is well worth visiting.

We both overslept this morning and I'd just switched the kettle on when Specsavers phoned to talk to OH about his new hearing aids. I didn't like to say he was still asleep!! Goodness knows how the conversation went, but I got on with putting all the rubbish out for the bins - you don't want to miss the last collection before Christmas!!

Yesterday OH finished cleaning all the carpets and rugs - a much needed job! So they just need hoovering today. I'll get on with baking. It's bright and sunny at the moment - I hope it stays that way.

I hope everyone under the weather is feeling a bit better and tucking into mince pies and mulled wine!

                              Oma, we've done it again!!

You're very welcome but the apple tart is going in the freezer to have over Christmas - there will be mince pies later in the day though. Yesterday's walk was one of the few places I let Eva off lead. She had a good sniff round but kept coming back for treats. She's a pleasure to walk when she's able to do that. The Forest was totally silent - not a bird or animal around, just the crunching of dry leaves under out feet/paws.

I do hope B's cough is getting better. It's horrible when you've got no appetite. Do you need to keep a close eye on your blood sugar when you're not hungry?
