Oma, it's H from Scotland who has split from her OH of many years. She is staying with our close friends A and G. She lived locally years ago before moving back to Scotland and the other three knew her before I knew them.

My hip is hurting too, and I feel I am starting a cold - what a pair we are!!

Good morning, we have the rain today, it was forecast though.

Bleach can be overpowering Oma, I only use it to remove bad stains on the balcony!

I went to get petrol in my car yesterday afternoon then take 2 removal boxes for GD1, they are going to get her bedroom decorated, another bed etc so she has to pack her clothes etc in before she goes to Portugal. She had just made a cake, it smelt delicious!! I was telling her the other day in the car about the stepson, I showed her the message I had sent him, she said
" have you wrote that yourself nan? I am super proud of you!!"

Then I went to the DIY place, very, very busy, it was on the roads as well, then I realised the half term started yesterday. I called in at the charity place with the coat hangers, most places won't take them, this one doesn't usually, but, the manager was there, he said they looked like good, strong hangers, plus the fact that I had bundled them up, 5 in a bundle, he said that made him change his mind!!!

        Lizzie
They will probably sell them in the bundles ,
Not many take the flimsy plastic ones here but they do have recycle bins in Sainsbury's for them.

        DD came with Storm,
He was in a skittish mood and had the zoomies for a good 5 minutes in and out of the door around the coffee table behind the sofa , back into the garden, spun around and around.
He then crashed out panting after a good long drink ,
I bet he gets home and sleeps till his next walk 😁
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma, I expect they will sell them in the bundles, if we buy anything in shops they usually take the plastic hangers off, I think so anyway

I have just made a voucher for GD2, she will be 16 on Monday.

Lizzie, i like the idea of making the voucher.

Its been like a spring day. Sun has shine all day long.

We called at Home Bargains and M&S on our way into town.

Met up with DS2 and then went to see DIL while she was on her break at work.

Didn't shop for anything special. Got bird stuff in HB and a few bits M&S.

From the butcher i bought a beef joint and sirloin steak.
Bought some Bramley apples in the market. I've got some strawberries in the freezer,i want to make some apple and strawberry pies.
Just got a few other bits in the market.

              What a lovely voucher Lizzie

              Oma,Storm sounds like our kittens

It's been like a spring day here too Nan2. OH and friend really enjoyed their afternoon on the golf course.
Our friend G is picking us up at 7. The five of us are going out for a pub meal. A country pub which has been closed a few years and has reopened with new owners. We hope it will be nice

Gem, have a lovely evening. I bet you will all be chattering too much to even notice the food (unless it's really dire, of course). I thought about S and your friend with the lovely weather today and thinking it would be the perfect day to have their game of golf - so glad it was changed. I hope you've had a rest and your hip's ok this evening. Fingers crossed the cold will fizzle out.

Lizzie, it must be hard to believe your GD2 will be 16, and the voucher is a lovely idea. They have very clear ideas about what they like and aren't so keen on at that age.

Oma, Storm must have been feeling Spring Fever! He's a big dog to have zoomies in the house. When Eva has them indoors she keeps racing up and down stairs, tearing round the living room and back on the stairs again.

Nanto, wasn't it lovely to be out in the sunshine today. Your shopping went well, and meeting up with DS2 and DIL rounded it off nicely!

We've had sunshine today as well, although the ground was very wet until about mid-day. Then it dried up a bit so OH gave me a hand to finish pruning the apple and pear trees (only a couple of each, don't imagine an orchard!). Then I pruned a rose quite hard. I didn't do it last year and it had got very leggy. I fed and mulched it as well, hoping it will forgive me!

The evenings are definitely getting lighter. I didn't take Eva out till quarter past five and it was still not quite dark when I got back about 6-ish.

                  Good morning.

The sun is rising, but I think rain is forecast.

Gem,hope you and your friends had a lovely meal last night.

Daisy, have a lovely day with GD's.
GD's.You can certainly tell its lighter in the evenings
Spring is round the corner, says she hopefully.

One job I want to do is sort the cupboard under the kitchen sink. I rearranged it last week, but I'm putting it back like it was.

Not doing a Sunday dinner today. We are having sliced potatoes, fish cakes and beans.

                  Ah well, onwards and upwards.

                    Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Nanto, sadly I think you're right - there is rain forecast for today. Lots of it. Good luck with the cupboard under the sink. No matter how I arrange ours it always seems a mess!

I was going to do roast chicken for dinner for the GDs today, but they've voted for salmon instead. Much easier, and we both like salmon.

Have a lovely day, everyone. xx

Good luck with the cupboard, I try to keep ours tidy but B just chucks things in willy

                      I like Salmon too,
If B has steak I usually have Salmon and a salad or with new potatoes.
                      Enjoy your day with them.

We are going to have a trip to Mainsgill farm up by Richmond today,
We go a couple of times a year, I love to go at Christmas and buy at least one Christmas related item 😁but we didn't get this year because of the virus we had,
We will have lunch there and buy something or other we never come home empty handed .
It's vast and the food hall is amazing.

Have a good day ladies whatever your doing.

Gem hope you enjoyed your night xxx

                        Good morning everyone.

Dull here and gusty winds and heavy rain due later.

Have a lovely day with your GDs Daisy. Salmon, yum!

Nan2 under sink cupboard is something OH usually gets to before I get round to it!

We had a lovely meal last night. We will definitely go back there. We had a good relaxed night with our friends and as it was just after 9 when we were dropped home we invited them in for a cuppa.

This morning I am calling in to DD1's. It is her dad's 70th today and I have a card for her to give him when they go out for a meal later.

No other plans apart from keeping out of the rain!

After a lovely day yesterday a bit gloomy today. So sorry I didn’t get on yesterday, what with lunch out and two rugby matches. I opened my I pad twice but was interrupted. I have read all your posts. I am invited next door for lunch, GS1 and family are due and I am invited to join them.

Gemini, pleased that your meal last night with friends was enjoyable.

Oma, have a lovely trip out. Is B feeling better?

Daisy, my vote would go for salmon too. Have a nice day with GD’s. How old are they now?

Nanto, have a nice day in spite of the rain. I expect you will have unexpected visitors.

Its very windy and very rainy. I've done my ironing.Washed a load of lights, they will be ironed tomorow. Oma, enjoy your day out.

It's a horrible day isn't it Nan2, I expect we have similar weather today.

Plant, good to know you were busily occupied yesterday 😊 I hope you have had a nice lunch

It's a good job DD1 lives within a short drive! I have been over twice today. This morning as arranged then again this afternoon. GS1 was unsure about his Grandpa's birthday meal so it was arranged his dad would pick him up from the restaurant if he felt he wanted to leave early . However he then didn't want to go at all, so Grandma to the rescue to stay at home with him until his dad could get there, so DD could go to her dad's meal on time. I'm home again now
