      Good morning everyone.

I hope you get to Wakefield if the snow isn't too heavy Nan2.
No snow forecast here according to Alexa, but storm Bert is looming this weekend.

Plant I hope you do feel better today. Just rest, with plenty of liquids until you are on the mend.

I'm glad you had a lovely day yesterday Daisy Too full to need to cook at night is a bonus too!

No plans today. There is a library committee meeting and a Christmas event coming up next week, so I need to send out Minutes and send reminder emails today.

          Morning ladies

It's been snowing hard here for hours,
We are supposed to be meeting Martin & Clare with Finn for tea , as it's a 45 minutes drive for them I'm not sure if they will make it ,
They are visiting MIL first .

          Plant
How are you feeling today? Any better. If it's snowing your way stay in and keep warm xx

          Daisy
Sounds like a really good place to eat , were the sausages as good as they have been?
I love bangers and mash but I have to limit the potatoes , I'm always tempted to eat more if it's a nice mash but I know what my sugars would do 😁
Crumpets are a feeling good food aren't they, A nice buttered crumpet and a good cup of tea yummy.
Hope it was ok your friends journey home.

          Gem
How are you feeling about poor T today? I hope your not as sad
A nice day in by the fire with those kittens I'm sure will cheer you up.
Poor S isn't going to get a game of golf in today is she.

          Nanto
Will you get to Wakefield do you think?

I have done two loads of washing it's all tumbled and a few things to iron ,
Did the bedrooms and bathroom yesterday so B has hoovered them this morning,
Housework downstairs done, so nothing else to do .

A nice lazy day in fact 😁

            Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto, gravy granules are so useful, aren't they! I always keep gluten-free ones so I can use them for anyone I'm feeding. Ha s the snow eased off so you can go to Wakefield, or is it a day home in the warmth for you? I'll give the corned beef etc casserole a go - it sound tasty and easy (now I know to slice the corned beef). Thank you.

Gem, Alexa can be very naughty sometimes. Are you going to introduce the kittens to the snow? I 'd love to see what they make of it. Eva didn't like it too much when it got hard and made a noise when she walked on it. She likes soft, fresh snow.

Oma, It would be a long journey for Martin and family if the roads aren't gritted. Yes, the bangers and mash were as good as they always are, and really rich, tasty gravy. It's one of those proper "Forest" pubs where you can turn up in your wellies with a couple of wet dogs and nobody minds, although there is a dog-free dining area as well. How nice to have your washing and ironing up to date.

We've overslept this morning, and it looks like Storm Bert is here - quite windy and plenty of rain. I'm going to try and catch up with some paperwork.

Very dull here. I am expecting a grocery delivery from Waitrose. Sil is in my loft as GD1 said the shower wasn’t working properly. Whilst we have a house full, she and her OH are using my bathroom. Sil says it sounds like the pump.

Oma, difficult to plan journeys when snow is threatened. I hope you manage a meet up with Martin and family

Daisy, bangers and mash, yummy. It is nice when a local does homely food.

Gemini, sounds like a day of playing with the kittens for you today.

Plant, I hope your SIL can fix the shower problem.

Daisy, the snow didn't really stay around long enough to show the kittens. It turned to rain and has rained most of the day removing all traces of snow.

Oma, I do feel sad about T of course, when I remember I wont see him again. He was a man who loved Christmas and always had his tree up and his lovely Christmas ornaments out. I think back now though and he hadn't had the life he would want for some time, so I know it's better he went before things got even worse for him.

This morning we emptied and sorted out an upstairs cupboard which had needed doing for a while. I also got the Minutes and reminder emails done, and some online Christmas shopping . A fairly profitable day!
My turn to cook tonight and I am making Shepherd's pie, so I will do that shortly.

We had a lovely meet with Martin , Clare and Finn .
The meal wasn't nice but the company was.
The snow is all but gone again and it's not so cold now.

Yes at least as you say T went before he got worse ,
Isn't it always a good feeling when you get a cupboard sorted ,

Gem, only just seen your post about T. Sorry to hear the sad news.

Oma, glad you had a nice meet up,pity the food wasn't good.

We did go to Wakefield. It was dark and rainy most of the day,but it got us out.
Hubby didn't have any jobs to do,so he didn't want to stay in.
By the time we got home, all the snow had gone.

                      Good morning. Raining this morning.

Neither of us have got any real plans. I'm going to wash a load of lights.Daresay I'll find some other jobs.

We had a lovely carvery dinner in Wakefield yesterday, so just having jacket potatoes with tuna mayo and cheese today.

Have a good day ladies whatever you are doing.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

I love a roast whatever the day Nan2

Oma, a pity the meal wasn't so good, but it's the company that's important.

Rain and more rain. OH didn't have any golf planned, which is fortunate as the course has been closed all weekend.
We are thinking of going to an antiques fair at the racecourse (under cover!)
No other plans, we will see where the day takes us!

I'm like Gem I could eat a roast anyday 😁

                          It's raining here too,
Looks like it's set for the day.
Enjoy your browse around the fair at least under cover it will be more pleasant.

B & myself chose hunters chicken last night , the chicken was so over cooked you couldn't cut it.
The place we went is usually top class but it was very poor last night ,
We won't order that again if we go back.

Floors washed shower and tiles cleaned, towels in the wash so nothing else to do,
I'm enjoying another cup of tea and I treated myself to a rich tea biscuit ,
I buy them for storm but I'm sure he won't mind me having one 😁

Going to pop to B& M for a few bits but that's as far as we are going

                            Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Gem, hopefully the kittens will get a chance to play in the snow later in the winter. You had a really productive day yesterday. It's quite satisfying, isn't it. A trip out to the antiques fair would break up a miserably rainy day for you. Is it just for browsing or are you looking for something in particular?

Oma, what a pity your meal was so overcooked. Did you say anything to the manager? At least with the snow disappearing Martin, Claire and Finn were able to get there. Did you sleep better last night?

Plant, how are you today? Is your shower ok now?

Nanto, as you say, at least going to Wakefield got you out yesterday, but it sounds as though it was pretty wet.

It was very windy here yesterday and pouring with rain. I didn't take Eva out until it had gone dark and I kept stepping on and tripping over tree debris. Last night I ordered myself a better torch! I was surprised how many other dog walkers were out as well. I nearly walked into one dog whose owner was bending over 'picking up' on a very dark stretch of road.

No particular plans today except to sort out the various pots that have been blown over in the garden. But at least it's stopped raining and the floods on the other side of the village have gone.

Good morning, after a few very cold days, the sun is shining and warm, I have washing hung out and it is almost dry. Very windy though, I went to the gym at 8am, I was debating on walking or biking, chose the bike, the wind blew me into the kerb! I managed to straighten it up and stop, it did shake me though! I walked the rest of the way.

Expecting a visit from my Dil, she likes to check up on me from time to time. Shower worked for me okay, GD hasn’t tested it. I am hoping to get some energy back this week, I need to collect some tablets from the chemist, I will have a word with them about taking something to give me some get up and go. The wind has blown all the leaves off the trees in the woods into our garden, very dismal outside.

Gemini, I would imagine that those kittens were very frightened until you rescued them. Definitely the day to stay indoors and cook a roast dinner for later.

Daisy, be careful walking Eva in the dark, don’t fall over any strangers!. A good new torch sounds a good idea.

Oma, what a disappointment about your meal, you should have sent it back, no excuse for overcooked chicken.
