Gem, I bet GS2 really enjoyed his sausages and white bread. The magazine was definitely a bargain from your point of view. Cost is well-named. It always seems to costa lot! What a brilliant day for S to be out playing golf.

Oma, they keep a close eye on B's sugars, I'm sure, so it's reassuring that they are comfortable with waiting for the next check up. Isn't it annoying that women's clothes seem to be made for 6 ft models in size 8! I know they scale down and up, but the designs are usually to flatter that model girl figure.

We still haven't managed to do any gardening, and now OH has got into a load of paperwork.

Daisy, the white bread was for his lunchtime cheese and ketchup toastie, the sausages will be with mash at teatime
Did you get into the garden to relax a bit?

Good evening. The weather has been lovely today.
        Warmed up nicely.

Oma, pity about the Tonka truck, i bet someone would have had hours of fun with it.
If i buy a mini dress it would be long on me. Thats why i never buy skirts in Bon Marche, they are way too long.I like that they do shorter lengths in trousers though.

I bought two nice dresses in Bon March last week ,
Surprisingly they come calf length well about 3 inches above my ankle on me .

No where does decent dresses for midgets like me 🀣

Oma, I think a lot of us have the same problem. I bought a dress described as "mini" a couple of years ago, and it just sits nicely at my knees! . I don't know why manufacturers and shops don't realise that if the average hight of an adult female in this country is about 5'4" there must be a whole army of women tripping over their skirts!

Gem, I did get out into the garden for a little while, but given I'm supposed to keep out of the sun and hadn't got suncream on, I didn't stay long. Also it was actually too warm for me. I've never had this problem before.

A cheese and ketchup toastie sounds delicious. Is it one of GS2's favourites?

B still can't sit on the sun , he used to love to sunbathe but he can't now not only because of his meds but he can't take the heat now , strange isn't it.

Good morning. It was slightly foggy earlier, but its cleared now.

We can't sit in the sun in summer like we did when we were younger.
If its a really warm day in summer, we keep moving round the garden following the shade.

No plans for today, I'll keep doing little jobs as I potter around.

Dinner is chicken in breadcrumbs, mash and veg, with chicken gravy.

                  Good morning all.

Nan2 it was very misty/foggy here. Not gone yet but starting to clear.

Daisy, a cheese or cheese and ham toastie with ketchup in is definitely one of GS2's favourites.

Aqua this morning then maybe coffee. Only one of my friends will be there, so it will depend on her being free to stay.
No plans this afternoon. I was to meet a friend/ex work colleague for coffee but she had to cancel. Tesco delivery between 4 and 5. And my new passport is arriving today

                    Morning Nanto
Dull start here but supposedly going to get out before lunch.
I'm popping to B&Q this morning and fingers crossed SIL putting carpet down after lunch .
We slept like campers last night , mattress on the floor and a duvet over us.
Bit of a struggle getting up for the loo during the night , B was in fits at me trying to stand up half asleep and nothing to hold onto🀣

Good morning, regarding the dresses, I was always tall, I have lost a few inches now, but, I could never find clothes long enough, especially the sleeves, that hasn't changed though, as for my GD1, at 6ft she has even more of a problem, luckily the Dutch are tall!

I have never been a sun lover, DH was, even when he was having chemo they warned him not to go in the sun, but, he did. My neighbours, on both sides, are sun lovers, it was 50 degrees on the balcony on Friday and they were sat out in the full sun.

I had to go and see a specialist on Monday, my doctor thought it wise with having the shingles twice in a short time. She was the most unfriendly specialist/person I have ever met, I almost walked out of the room. She gave me an examination etc then sent me for blood tests, I have to go for more tests in May, I hope this isn't because she felt or heard something during the examination . Lung scan and stomach echo?

I went for roses a fortnight ago, they are still so nice and fresh!

Lizzie, try not to overthink it (I do that too!!) They will just be being careful and giving you a good check. Beautiful roses

                            Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, aren't Irises the most amazing flowers - so intricate. They go well with the tulips - good choice. I think most people find they can't take as much sun as they used to, but I suppose it's one of those things we live with. Enjoy your pottering day.

Oma, I had to laugh at the idea of your camping in your own bedroom. It's not easy to get up off a mattress on the floor, is it! Still, it gave B a laugh. xx

Lizzie, those roses are incredible. They must have been very fresh when you got them, and you've looked after them as well. I know it's no good saying try not to worry about tests etc, but it does sound as though the consultant is being very thorough, even if her bedside manner isn't great. There's a consultant at the Eye Department my OH attends who he's refused to see. She was rude, patronising and basically called us liars. It's very upsetting because you are at the mercy of their expertise.

Gem, enjoy your aqua class. Isn't it nice (and a relief!) when a new passport plops through the door.

It's nice and sunny here, so I hope to do a bit of gardening later.

Daisy. so I am not the only one with a patronising specialist!! The roses are from a local grower. The only flowers I can have in the house!

Oma, I am trying to picture you both sleeping on the floor, I hope you are not suffering aches and pains as a result.

Lizzie, what beautiful roses. I am sure the medics are trying to be thorough.

Gemini, I do envy you your Aqua, so good to keep the joints oiled.

I have been to a craft group this morning, mainly chat and a bit of craft.

GD1 feeling poorly, Sil amusing H in the garden.
