    Good morning.

We had a few heavy showers yesterday.

Oma, hope they can get B sorted, sooner rather than later.

Daisy, I don't make my own parsley sauce, i use the granules. Quick and easy.

No plans for us, apart from hubby meeting his pal later this morning.

I think jacket potatoes with cheese and beans will be dinner today.

      Morning Nanto, Ladies.

      Nanto
I was thinking about Jacket potatoes for tea,
I will see what B thinks , sometimes he fancies them other times he turns his nose up.
He had steak for tea last night I had Salmon .

      Daisy
I'm the same with the opticians, I never know what lens is clearer, you are on the spot and I often think there is no difference, then it's choosing frames,
Are you sorted for the girls arriving, do they go with you when you walk Eva?

      Plant
How lovely to see GS he's such a lovely boy,
Christmas lunches are advertised everywhere around here ,
As Daisy said I suppose they have a lot to organise, what I object to is the likes of The Range , they have all the Christmas decorations on display and have done since the beginning of August.
How is the cystitis is it any better?

      Gem
I was telling B about the film and the swearing
He said he can understand swearing in a film that has young people in as it seems the language of the day but not this film there doesn't seem the need
Or are we just getting old and intolerant to this behaviour?

      Did you choose your glasses?
I went back to distance and separate reeding glasses , I just couldn't get away with my last vari focal ones although I have worn them for years , these were never right even when they changed the lenses.

      Lizzie
The lady should have had her walker but isn't it funny how things slip your mind.
I hope the girls are not too tired today,
      How is your knee now?

I'm popping over to Home bargains this morning,
The dog is coming to stay for two weeks tonight as they off to Newcastle airport at 6 in the morning,
B & James are taking them and the luggage ,
They will both pick them up at the end of the holiday too.

Im not fat just 6ft too small

        Good morning everyone.

Lizzie,I know lots of people get on well with varifocals. I was constantly taking them on and off ( and putting them down and mislaying them at the library!) I paid for the supposedly best ones and feel I wasted my money.

Yes Oma,I chose a new pair which will be ready next week.

I am sitting parked in a side street waiting for OH who is at the hospital blood taking department. She usually has her bloods done the day before her appointment but as she was away yesterday they said she could get it done this morning.
I'm at the library at 10 so if she s going to be ages she will let me know and get the bus back.
We will be back this afternoon for her appointment.

        Very sunny morning here.

          Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

I'll be back later. The GDs are now coming (or rather I'm collecting them and Cooper) first thing in the morning, and a neighbour is coming in for a coffee and catch up in a little while. I need to get my skates on.

Gem, I hope all goes well for S at the hospital this afternoon. xxx

1e5ac296-18c2-4513-ac62-81d58057b2cf.jpg Oma, my knee is so much better thanks, the muscles are used to having to work now!! I have a worn knee, that won't heal, it was the pain from the cyst that was causing this problem.

By the way, no coffee with neighbour as she isn't opening her door!! Or she is out but I doubt that.

Gem, couldn't you have gone back with your specs? If we can't see right they will carry on until it is 100% right.

Photo of the girls packed and ready to leave the hotel.

Mostly showers today so I stayed indoors. Games tomorrow.

Nanto, Nice picture of your girls, they all have identical suitcases.

Daisy, busy time for you amusing your GD’s and dog.

Gemini, I hope all is good for S at the hospital.

Oma, I am getting to use my walker more, can manage, like your friend, without it for a short walk.

Plant, the walkers are a great asset when you need them.

Lizzie, you have 3 months to decide on the glasses, and I didn't decide to take them back in that time! I hate varifocals for TV anyway as you have to sit up straight so they don't work so well with the recliner or when lying down. So my new glasses will be for that, and the varifocals kept for driving.
Nice pic of the tall girls

Thanks for the good wishes for S. All went well, I have updated on YEO

Just before we left for the appointment one of her friends came to the door with a card and gorgeous bouquet of flowers to say thank from the group she arranged the golf weekend away for
She is happy to do this stuff, but it is lovely to be appreciated!

We are having fish and chips for tea.

Plant, they are Lizzie's girls, not mine.

I was just about to come here this afternoon, when 2 of hubby's brothers came.

Gem, how lovely for S to get those flowers.

Well, we've had more than our fair share of heavy showers today. At this rate floods will be the next problem, after weeks and months of drought! And we've still got the hosepipe ban. I was lucky taking Eva out this afternoon. The rain stopped and we went for a fairly long walk, and then the heavens opened when we were less than a minute from home! Oma, I don't walk Eva when Cooper is here - they tire each other out with playing, so I take the easy option, and put my feet up and watch them!

Gem, how kind of the friend to give S such a lovely thank you for organising the golf trip. It's nice to be appreciated, isn't it.

I used to find varifocals really good, but the last couple of pairs haven't been right, even though I went back with them, so I've resorted to single focus for sunglasses, and they're fine.

Lizzie, I hope the girls and their parents are having a good journey back. Did they enjoy New York? You must be relieved your knee is so much better now.

Oma, you're going to have a busy couple of weeks with your furry houseguest. I'm sure he will get really spoilt, though.

Nanto, I didn't know you could get parsley sauce granules - I imagined it would be a packet mix, a sort of powder. Did you stick with jacket potatoes, beans and peas today? We needed to use up some chicken pieces so I put them in a tray bake this afternoon before I took Eva out. Nice and easy - OH's turn next time. He'll probably cook the GDs' favourite sausage and chips for lunch tomorrow.

Plant, there's no joy in going out and getting wet is there. I hope tomorrow's better for your board games afternoon. I'm glad you find the walker useful. It sounds as though you made a good choice.

We've got to go and collect the GDs and Cooper at 8 am tomorrow. DS2 and DIL are due to have a new print lab installed in their shop, so it will be a hectic and tiring day for them. But we'll probably have to get the girls home reasonably early as they go back to school on Thursday, and for GD2 it will be the first day in her new school. I was going to take Eva back to training, but it will have to wait till next week. Everything happens at once.

Good morning. It's drizzling at the moment, but i think there is a lot of rain forecast for us today.
Hubby will be glad he got some tidying up jobs done in the garden yesterday.

No plans for us again but you never know if things might change.

Daisy, I bet you will have a lovely day with the girls and Cooper.

Oma, I can see Storm getting spoilt over the next two weeks.

DS1 and some of his workmates are travelling to Stansted airport today, staying there tonight, then flying to Bosnia tomorrow.
There is a fishing tournament over the next few days and apparently there are a few entrants from our town.
DS1 and workmates are only going as spectators. Personally it would be boring to me,but they like it.

Dinner today is cottage pie and veg.

                        Morning Nanto,Ladies.

                        It's wet here also Nanto.
I can't see the enjoyment in fishing but each to their own, as long as they enjoy it,
Is it better to have rain when fishing or not?
I was going to say I hope the weather is good for them , but if rain is better then that's no good 😁

Dog walker coming at 9.45 then I have Diabetic screening at 11 ,
B &. James took them all to the airport at 6 this morning.
                        Hopefully it's a quiet afternoon.

                          Good morning everyone.

I think we will have rain too Nan2, but none yet.

I hope the screening goes well Oma.

Another busy GD and dog day Daisy

Aqua this morning. Only three of us for coffee as one of us is on her way to New York today to help with her GSs for a couple of weeks.
No other plans for me. I think OH and a friend are planning on a walk later - weather permitting!

                            Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, your graphic shows exactly what it's like here - wet and windy, with trees down and looking very Autumnal. It's definitely a cottage pie sort of day. I hope DS1 enjoys his non-fishing trip. I'm sure they have a good time talking about the one that got away and other fishing adventures.

Oma, I hope the screening has gone well. I don't suppose Storm minds the rain - at least it's cooler for him - but no doubt needs a good towelling when he gets back. How is B this morning?

Gem, I hope you're going to have a relaxing afternoon. No doubt next week. you'll be back into the usual routine of after school and toddler care. I hope the weather doesn't put S and friend off their walk.

We collected GDs and Cooper first thing, and GD1 has promised me a crochet lesson after lunch! I'm not sure when they will be going home, because it depends on how the installation goes in the shop. They're both ready with uniforms sorted and bags packed ready for school tomorrow. We're having their favourite sausage and chips for lunch, and if they are still here this evening, we'll do bacon and eggs etc. It will save their mum or dad cooking.

The dogs have had a made hour or so, scattering toys all over the house. Neither of them have any interest in tidying up after themselves though.

Pets just never tidy up after themselves do they Daisy?!

Drizzle here, not full on rain so far.

I was very daring and had a mocha instead of my usual black Americano at the leisure centre cafe

I have all three GSs over the next two days, so happy to chill out this afternoon!

We have had a few short sharp showers. Say that when you've had a tipple.

Oma, i think they reckon fish bite better when its raining.
They have been told not to stray off the beaten track while in Bosnia.
Landmines are still there in some places.
Because DS1 used to be in the army, his workmates say they are relying on him to keep them safe.

Daisy, i have never learnt to crochet. I used to do a lot of knitting though.

Hope the screening went well Oma.
