    That's a good job done Nan2.

How lovely that the baby is safely here Oma.

NannieD'A we know how busy you are so it's lovely to see you. Glamma would have been so happy to welcome these new babies and your tattoo is perfect

Little E was a joy as always this morning and a distraction,as was our cat sitter friend arriving and waffling on!
E enjoyed he and his daddy driving us to the hospital and wanted Grandma to sit next to him in the back. Thank you all for your good wishes for the hospital appointment. Update on YEO.

Daisy, no music for my MRI......just lots of clunks and clicks and Breathe in, Breathe out and Hold your breath!
I am cream crackered now, but had a lovely meal at one of our favourite restaurants and I don't think I'll take much rocking tonight!
Sadly the rain didn't hold off, but I didn't get too wet!

Good luck to those others with hospital appointments!

Lovely, happy news about all those new babies who've just arrived and are still on their way!
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

WeeGranny, I'm so disappointed that you weren't offered music for your MRI. I had one done when MRIs were very new and there was no music then, just clunks and clicks, but I thought all of them now offered musical delights to drown out some of the noise. I'm not surprised you needed that meal at a favourite restaurant. Sleep well, hopefully with no rain pounding on the Velux windows to disturb you.

I thought you might like a lullaby! xxx

Good morning. Raining quite heavily at the moment.

No plans for me today. Hubby meeting his pal later.

WeeGranny, hope you get good results from the MRI scan.

Just a day of tidying up and ironing for me.

Dinner is toad in the hole, courtesy of aunt Bessie, roast potatoes, veg and onion gravy.

            Good morning everyone.

Another dark wet and gloomy 'summer' morning!

Library group meeting this morning. It should have been next week but with my birthday and upcoming holiday I couldn't fit it in. I'm quite happy to miss a meeting and have someone else take the Minutes, but today was agreed on!
GS1 will be here for the day. He can hang around in the library or cafe while I have my meeting, which is in a room off the library. He will come with me to collect GS2 from school this afternoon, which he likes doing.

              Morning Nanto,ladies.

Nanto I like aunt bessies toad in the hole, it's ideal size isn't it and tasty.

I have some ironing , I will do that later,
Should have done it yesterday but couldn't be bothered.

              How are we all today?

Waiting for dog to arrive so wont be getting out today apart from a little walk if the rain stops.

              MIL coming home today,
Social worker went in yesterday and they have worked out a good care package for her.
SIl and partner going for her.

              It's a relief as it's been a nightmare sorting visiting ,
One can't go in in case another is there as they don't speak ,
Like yesterday, Martin was going in and as no one speaks to him apart from us we had to work it around them and work,
One sister wasn't happy as she wanted that slot.
Another sister won't speak to any of us so just have to text her

Hope MIL isn't taken back in any time soon.
Morning Gem our posts crossed 😁

Good lord Oma, what complicated visiting arrangements those were!
I hope your MIL gets safely home and doesn't have to go back again.

Goodness Oma, life is too short for families to behave like that. I hope Mil keeps well when she gets home.

Gemini, It is nice that GS1 wants to come with you to pick up his cousin from school. Holiday getting close, I think you need it.

WG, Sounds like you needed that nice meal, I am now wondering which is your favourite restaurant.

Nanto, yummy Toad in the Hole, not something I would cook for one. Never tried Aunt Bessie, are they good?

Daisy, your hospital visits seem to come around fast. Hope all goes well tomorrow.

But I must admit Aunt bessies are really nice and a perfect size for one .
They are worth a try 😁

                      Good Friday afternoon, everyone.

Nanto, I love toad in the hole, but have never tried Aunt Bessie's. Sounds like a good option. The poor little lass in your graphic - she needs a new umbrella, unless those patches are waterproof.

Oma, I'mm pleased to hear your MIL will be going home today. Apart from being happy that she's well enough to be discharged and has a good care package, you must be relieved all those complicated visiting arrangements can stop! Families, eh!!!

Gem, it's a busy day for you with GS1, the library group meeting and GS2 from school. It's strange how nobody ever wants to take minutes, isn't it! I always used to get lumbered with them, even when I was chairing a meeting. The moral for me was don't ever let on you can do shorthand! . Is S playing golf?

The hospital visit was quick and painless - even though the nurse had to have two goes at a finger prick because my hands were so cold. Plant, the appointments aren't coming so often now - every two weeks instead of every week.

The main subject of the conversation with OH on the way to hospital was the weather. OH had, sensibly, put a raincoat in the car, and suggested I ought to do the same. We were already pushing the time a bit, so I said I'd be ok - I had a hood on my jacket. He said it looked like rain from some big black clouds. No, I'd be ok, I said. About 3 miles down the road it started to rain, and got worse and worse as we got nearer to the hospital. Those black clouds delivered in buckets. OH, being the treasure he is offered to drop me off at the entrance and then go and park. I insisted I'd be ok. As we drove into the car park the rain stopped abruptly and the sun came out. OH's reaction was along the lines of how jammy I am.

Daisy, glad the appointment was quick and painless. Pleased you didn't get wet.

The aunt Bessie's toad in the hole are fine.
We share one,and have some form of potatoes and veg with it.

Oma good to hear MIL is coming home.

Had quite a bit of rain this morning, but the sun is shining now.

We had to go to the chemist today and there was a queue, so hubby went for a browse in Farmfoods next door.
He bought some lovely strawberries. There is enough to have them twice.
We'll have them tonight and tomorrow with cream.

At least only every two weeks now gives you a break.

                          Nanto
We bought some strawberries yesterday haven't tried them yet but every time I open the fridge door I can smell them.

MIL home , we will go tomorrow to fill her freezer with all the food we have made for her,
Baby came home today too 😁

Just been to DDs took the dog back and took her birthday card and present down.
                          She is 52 tomorrow.
Storm is getting a bit stiff in his shoulder and taking a while to lay down and get up.
He has refused to get in SILs van , I think it's too high and must be causing pain.

He's just started taking tablets for it so hopefully they work.

Another appointment over and done with Daisy. And the weather co operated!

Poor Storm Oma, I hope the tablets work.

The meeting this morning was long! I felt for GS1 stuck in the library so long but he was fine. In fact he started to read a book from the teenage section and we borrowed it. He rarely reads for pleasure now so I was pleased.
We collected his cousin from school this afternoon and I fed them both here. DD1 brought OH some beautiful flowers when she picked GS1 up DDs 1 and 2 stayed for a cuppa which was nice. DD1 agreed to drive us to the station next Friday afternoon which will save us booking a taxi.
The sun is out now, it has been a changeable day here.

Hope the tablets work for storm.

Oma, good news about the new baby, and also about your MIL. It's very thoughtful of you to have prepared meals to fill her freezer. I hope she soon settles back into her usual routines after being in hospital for quite a while. Poor Storm. He would probably like a ramp to get into your SIL's van. I see lots of people who take their dogs to work in their vans getting ramps in and out to make it easier for their dogs. Storm's a bit too heavy to lift in, I should think. What is Storm having to ease his joints? Your DD looks more like 22 than 52 - it must be her genes. x

Gem, meetings always seem to take a long time when you have other pressures/situations to deal with. But if it encourages your GS1 to read more, that's a bonus. How thoughtful of your DD1 to bring flowers for your OH. Also taking you to the station next Friday will make a more relaxed start to your holiday than getting a taxi.

I've had a pretty lazy day once we got home. OH made lunch and I've spent the afternoon mostly reading, although I did have a little nap - but it was an early start this morning. I've got to finish our Sainsbury's order and then I'm going to take Eva for a little walk. Between the hospital and the weather I haven't had much fresh air today!
