Good morning. The start of a new month.

Daisy, I bet your new neighbours are lovely.
Every time I go into the kitchen, I'm so glad we had the cupboards painted.

Looks like another nice day ahead.

Hubby out for a couple of hours, so I'm going to change the bedding and clean upstairs.
When Hubby gets home we'll have dinner.
    Then it's gardening time.

Dinner is homemade meat and potato pie from the freezer and mushy peas.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning Nan2, a lovely graphic this morning

      Good morning everyone else.

Daisy that's good that you did a little pottering. I hope your new neighbours settle in and are friendly. It sounds a nice place to live.

Library this morning. No other plans apart from going to the post office.
Mine turn to cook. Sausages, cheddar mash, carrots and sprouts I think.

        Morning Nanto/Ladies

A nice day here also but still a bit nippy,

        Daisy
They have called the budgies Snowy (( white one) and the blue one Whiskey,
Whiskey is a bit wobbly he has no tail feathers and a crooked leg so looks drunk hence Whiskey😁
Snowy is only 3 months old but Whiskey is 3 he was in a big aviary and they think he was bullied by the other birds.
Don't go doing too much in the garden your not super woman , just take time to sit and watch the weeds grow 😁

B off for his COVID jab soon ,
He wasn't going to bother but the Dr advised he still has it twice a year so he's following orders.
I must go to pick my dress up from Bon March, I didn't get as planned yesterday.
We are then popping to Farm foods.
B wants to start painting the fence tomorrow so trying to get sorted with everything I want to do today,
After the bin man has been I will give the bin a good clean out and washed down.

It's my BILs birthday today, a April fools baby 😁

Busy, busy Oma, don’t overdo it. We always had budgies as a child, none of them said anything.

Daisy, nice to hear you are feeling a bit stronger. Was it a one off treatment or is this going to be repeated, I hope not as it affected you so much. I hope a few days of sunshine and pottering in the garden lift your spirits.

Gemini, I take it that there are no GC to look after today. That youngest of yours is a sweetheart, shame they grow up so quickly.

Nanto, I don’t know how you manage to produce a cooked meal mid-day and housework. The only day we had a cooked meal at lunch time was on a Sunday. How did you manage your meal times when children were at school and OH at work?

              Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

It's lovely and sunny here, but quite windy. Nice in sheltered corners.

I've had a slow start today, and have to go for a blood test later, so I'll pop back after that.

              xx

Daisy, I imagine taking things slowly is probably par for the course at present xxx

Plant, Tuesday used to be GS1 day but now it varies, and sometimes not at all. Friday this week.

I posted the passport Oma We don't go on holiday until June and they are saying it takes about 3 weeks at present but I want to be sure I have it in good time.

Fairly busy library morning I was glad of my sit down at coffee break!
Lovely sunny afternoon here. I hung the washing out when I got home at lunchtime and it's dry now.

                  Well I cheated today,
I waited for the bin to be emptied then I was going to give it a good scrub out ,
Just as I went out to get it the bin cleaner came into the street so I paid him to do it instead 😁

Plant MIL always had several budgies and they spoke both English and German.
We always said if anything happened to her we would always hear her as they sounded exactly like her.

We call sparrows spuggies and one of her birds Peter would run up and down the windowsill saying where's the spuggies , look there's the little buggers 😁 it was so funny to hear him .

                  Daisy
Take your time getting sorted on a morning there is no need to rush is there unless you have appointments.xx

There is a bin cleaner that goes round our estate, only for the grey bins though.
                      Hubby always does ours.

Plant, when the kids were at school, they used to have school dinners.
Our meal times changed when hubby retired.

Oma, sparrows get called spuggies here as well.

Daisy, take your time in a morning, if there is nothing to rush for.

Been quite a busy day for us, well for me.
Got the bedding changed and cleaned upstairs.
                      Went to the post office.
After dinner, i cut the grass while hubby did a few other gardening jobs.
I've just had a lovely relaxing shower.

They come around with a lorry with a huge water tank on the back ,
They spray with a soapy solution inside and out then pressure hose it off ,
It smells nice and fresh after .

Wish we had a bin cleaner. Food waste goes in a small brown bin, wrapped in composted bags and is emptied every week. We have a green one for garden waste and a grey one for everything else, tins, jars etc.

Oma, I wonder if we'll get the luxury of bin cleaners when we go over to wheelie bins in a couple of months! I think where my BIL and SIL live in Wales have them, too. Will Whiskey's tail feathers grow back? Did you pick your dress up? I bet your BIL got a lot of birthday related tricks played on him when he was at school.

Nanto, you'd certainly earned that relaxing shower after housework and gardening. Your cute graphic is quite right - this lovely weather and spring in the air really tempts me into the garden (not that I need much tempting - garden over housework any day!).

Plant, I seem to remember being told that if you have more than one budgie they are less likely to talk. Ours only ever said "put your hat on" - over and over again - which is what my mother had to remind me to do before going off to school every day! Yes, the weather does help to lift the spirits. The treatment is ongoing - don't know how long for though.

Gem, you need to put your feet up after such a busy stint in the library. I bet that washing dried lovely. I bunged ours in the dryer because I didn't feel like pegging it all out!

Our front garden is looking quite colourful - I'll post some photos when I get a minute.

they hope now he's out of the aviary they will grow back ,
He can't fly but he comes out of the cage and flops to the floor for a little walk around 😁

Yes I picked my dress up.
I wasn't sure of the colour and pattern but B said it's nice so I will keep it.

We have a green bin for household waste,
Blue bin for recycle and if you have garden waste a Brown bin.
We don't have a brown bin as we don't have real grass.
